Hi Folks!

Not sure that many people read this but I'm gonna put it down here anyway.

I just got a new residency at a club in Sydney called Shallow Nation. So I will be up there once a month for that. It's an electro-industrial night, less harsh than Berserk where I guested recently but should be great!

I DJed at the Canberra Roller Derby League's friends and family bout last weekend under the pseudonym DJ Pig Plague. That was great fun! I have subsequently been invited to DJ at Sydney Roller Derby League Events as well, no solid arrangements for that at this point by I'm keen and so are they.

Tomorrow night is Le Chat Noir at Kremlin Bar. This one is an example of Le Chat Noir hitting it's stride. We have a harp player (Madame Q), a fashion tableau (Eline Martinsen), a guest DJ (DJ Miss G), Burlesque Dancers (Miss Kitka's House of Burlesque) and a live band (Little Sister)! As well as pasties and photogrpahic prints on sale from Allyeska.

Coming up at Chrome on the 4th of July we have DJ Dasein from Berserk in Sydney guesting for us it's going to be a great night! Later in the year we are looking at getting an international act in for Chrome, but more about that when things are confirmed.

New music project. Well I have started work on a new music project called Organic Device. I'd link to it but it seems that our Myspace profile has been killed and some American wanker has stolen the name. That being the case there are a bunch of songs in progress and the fall off will be posted here. There is a metaVirus powernoise style track in production at the moment as an aside to Organic Device. which will appear here in the near future or not in the event of a dark future (I'll be too busy jumping around for joy and buying weapons and technological augmentation to defend my territory with).

That pretty much covers things that are happening in the near future. Pretty eventful really looking forward to finally up-dating my play list with some decent up-to-date tracks.

Also definitely going to re-format this blog into something readable.

Played Crunch tonight, had a pretty good time. Attendace was lowish, way lower than I expected with Skyfire on. I was expecting crowds of drunken yobos to come stumbling in from over at the lake. This never eventuated. Sadly but it did get quite packed at about the middle of the night which was nice because that is when I played one of my sets.

I was invited to guest DJ at Crunch (Trash/Glam/Electro/Nu Rave/Random) on Saturday the 21st of Feb. Once again different to my standard stye of stuff with a primarily mainstream audience. Was a great night and the crowd seem to have a good time. Once again crowd retention was an issue for the venue but there was good through-put so we were never really without a crowd until the club finished up, which was unfortunately an early 1:30 or so.

Regardless it was a fun night. Highlight was when I was in the DJ booth spinning a track and a guy who looked like he has an interest in football came up and asked,"Who is this?"
"Rotersand, it's a german band" I reply.
"It's awesome man, what style of music would you say it is?"
"Erm... Electronic Body Music."
"Cool. Thanks." He walked off.
I thought to myself, 'Yeah look up EBM, I'm sure you will love it.'

I will be DJing this Saturday at Crunch @ Bar32. It's less goth/industrial and more electronic but it is a "glam" night so there is plenty of room to wear some crazy outfits!

Come along and bust some moves to some glitchy electro dance powerhouse action with pickles on the side!

Spent the day yesterday with jamming with Wade from "Along Came A Spider". It was fantastic! Now I am officially a band member. It may be in a "DJ" capacity but don't worry it's not Nu Metal. More like V.A.S.T./smashing pumpkins/tea party inspired stuff.

My decks and mixer work better in live performance than I expected. This hopefully means that I will be doing live original mixes at upcoming Chrome events. Keep an eye out!
