The book, a tribute for June is coming along very well, haven..t found semeone to publish it yet so I don..t know how and where I may be able to show it to you. I was hoping that any Marc fan-club might print it...

June said once that Marc and David were great friends but also great rivals. I think this is remarkable and maybe one reason why both became so creative in their msuic and writing.

I..ve read once about another anecdote, concerning JUne and David that is often described as the true start of their rivalry. At that time in the 1970..s both Marc and David were working and recording the "Prettiest star" (eventually written about Marc) were the first played an excellent guitar riff and the other sung. Something was wrong that day, and David recalled a kind of "thick air". The session ended with June stating that the only good thing about the song was Marc..s guitar play... so that..s were history starts...

For my part I like the song very much! I think David..s voice and Marc..s guitar play are a very strong combo, and without June..s push we would miss many an excellent Bowie and Bolan song. Well, on the other side we miss the Bolan/Bowie collaborations...but you can..t have everything.

One of my best friends and big music fan. How I miss the rockin.. evenings. You..ve done much in the early days of my first Marc Bolan club which would without you never have become what it is.
