Alrightey everyone!

The time has come for full disclosure of everything having to do with our forthcoming Christmas EP- "xalliwantforchristmasisasecondthiefchristmasepx". Yea, that's the real name.

We have made this very fun EP as our Christmas gift to YOU for being so amazing. More on that later...here's the rundown!

We will release this digital only treat on  SATURDAY DECEMBER 5TH through a great company called NOISETRADE. Due to time constraints, there is no time to put it on iTunes and be legit. The way Noise Trade works is you can either (1) Donate money for a download of the EP, or (2) Tell five friends about it and download it for free.

Now, we can't make you pay for it, neither will we get mad at you for not paying, but it would really help us out to donate $5 for the EP, I don't think that's such a bad deal, eh? (You like how I made that bold don't you?)
Of course, if you feel led to donate $1,000,000 for it, we won't stop you..

Anyway, on Midnight December 4th, we'll make the NoiseTrade widget with the album available on our Myspace page, just follow the instructions, it's super easy.

You can expect Second Thief renditions of 12 days of Christmas, Jingle Bells, and yes, of course, a newly re-imagined, re-recorded Rudolph. (Along with alot of other goodies and goofing off, of course).

A word of advice from us: Don't take it at face value. This is meant to be fun and funny, and besides from a few moments, it's just us trying to show you a good time and a glimpse into our weird little brains. Just enjoy it! We enjoyed making it...

We love you ;)

Alright everyone!

Brandon here; I think that we've let news build up long enough to finally clue you in on what's going on with us! I'm going to go in order of whatever comes to my mind first! :)

1. We have signed a contract with ECI/ Alien Patrol Records to release 2 more very special EPs within the next year through them. This newly reformed powerhouse of a label is going to do alot for us this time around. Not only that, but our new label mates SPOKEN is a band I've listened to since I was a kid. Anyways, these EPs are written and ready to be recorded in early January 2010. Also there will be a very special interconnecting theme with these EPs; we are very very excited. Along with some tours and radio promotion, we think this was a good move! Check out the brand new launch of the baller new ECI/AP site here.

2. We are recording a Christmas EP! It's called.... xalliwantforchristmasisasecondthiefchristmasepx......(No joke) Expect our sense of humor and satire to shine through on this one.....we think this will be very fun. We are expecting an online release of this one early December....get ready for some silliness! (Yes, a rerecorded rudolph will be on it)

3. HOLY COW! Thank you for your Radiou.com support! Our song "Such A Waste" was #1 for two straight weeks! Whew! That was a good ride guys, thanks! ;)

4. If you haven't heard for some reason, we have a brand new EP out! It's called Prelude and you can get that mug on iTunes, Napster, Shockhound, etc. Or, straight from us ( along with a ton of other stuff) here. We'd love to know what you think!

Well that's good enough for now. Oh yes one more

5.The Fourth Kind was really disturbing.

God bless you guys :)

These are all real messages/ comments/ things we have stumbles across on the new. Enjoy! :)

In reference to the "Such a Waste" Video/ song:

"terrible."

"That was some of the worst production I've ever heard.
The song made it even worse."

"That was heavy as f*ck man. Hey anyone wanna go burn some churches with me later?"

"Lolz that's music?"

"Wow they need to chill out a little bit"

"it was good until after :30 when he started having a heart attack"

"Beaches and straw hats are so metal. "

"Too be honest, overall it's not really good"

"The video showed some promise by being in HD, but once the music started there was no hope. Once I saw the drummer's hat I knew it would be crap. Is the vocalist the guy from Brokencyde? No that would be asking for too much."

"Is this even a song? I'd say half the time guitars are being played and the other half there's no guitars at all, or even drums. plain "

"It was nothing I haven't heard from at least 50 other bands before"

"If you have epilepsy don't watch this"

(In reply to above) "Thanks I won't anyway"

General hate mail:

"they really suck"

"Fu** this music, this isn't music at all"

"I back him completely. Second Thief sucks"-(From a user called "Secondthiefsucks")

"This can't even be considered music. Leave the gospel to the churches"

(Directed at someone who likes a video) "Stop listening to homosexual emo music and find something that really has some kind of worthwhile....something."

"homosexual christian d43th c0r3 band"

Side note....WHY DOESN EVERYONE THINK WE'RE GAY!?

"This band sucks terribly"

There you go ;)

Thank YOU, reading this, for supporting us! You are the lifeblood of ST and these jokers up here don't matter! :) We love you!

God bless

Hey everyone!

Due to the need to make our November 6th EP release show in Jacksonville, FL the biggest show EVER, we are
starting what could be the best promotion/ win money opportunity EVER. Here are the details as simply put as possible:

We will take the first 20 applicants for this extremely important street team for this one show.
The participant will receive 50 flyers (if you would like more, we will give you more) with the show details.
The participant will need to write their name somewhere on the flyer, and encourage as many people as possible to attend this very special event
The participant will have a list of all participants names in the ticket booth on the day of the show

The participant will instruct the recipient to present the flyer at the ticket booth, allowing a point to go to the street team member's final score

And, for the most important part.......what you could win!

Get 5-10 points and get a free copy of PRELUDE
Get 10 or more points and get a free t-shirt of your choice AND a copy of PRELUDE
The street team member who gets the most points over 10 wins a free copy of PRELUDE, a free t-shirt of their choice, and $100 CASH!

(So basically, the more people you bring, the greater chances you have of winning the cash and fun free stuff....)

Of course, you must be attending the show to win the cool stuff. And of course, live in or around the Jacksonville, FL area....Unless you think you can win coming out of town!

Please send us a message with your name and phone number. Someone will call you with full details on how to get your hands on the materials to do this!
Remember, only the first 20 applicants will get to participate! You have nothing to lose.....and free money to gain!

Hey everyone. As some of you may know we are about to release our E.P. "Prelude". It's been exactly two years since we released our last album "Threshold" and we're all very excited to let you see how far we've come as a band, as musicians, and as followers of Christ. We really appreciate all the support that you have given us over the years; From letting us destroy your homes when we stay the night to helping us out with a hot meal here and there. As of right now Second Thief is going to be playing shows in the southern region of the U.S. until the end of this year. We are looking to be touring at the begining of 2010 with a couple of really good bands. So be on the look out for those dates. We really hope you enjoy our new E.P. Which comes out on September 11th, 2009.

Thank you,

Second Thief are rockin' it out on the Lock n Load Tour as of late, but I encouarge all you myspace fans to check out their page right now! These dudes have a magnificent love for Jesus Christ, music, and Pokemon Silver. Here's the interview we conducted with them.

1. How did Second Thief come together? Any relations from previous musical endeavors?

The current lineup is not the original lineup for Second Thief, the only original member is our singer, Perry, and our bassist, Justin. Matthew and myself (Brandon) joined the band much later through various means. Matt is also the only one that has been in a band before Second Thief!

2. Second Thief’s music embraces hardcore-tinged metal with effective hooks, breakdowns, and melancholic moments. The Christian music industry sometimes struggles with the presence of metal. Still, some Christian’s call it the “Devil’s Music”. Does Second Thief get involved with this controversy? Why did you choose metal as a music tool for worship?

Here's a fun fact: The band actually didn't start as a metal band. I actually learned the other day that the band started out as rap-core! :) But speaking of the Christian controversy, here's a story. We are currently on tour, and at a show in Nebraska, we played a church festival with a mix of 55+ age people and 9-15 year old kids. We were very skeptical about the response to our music, but in the end, the show turned out great, although a good amount of the older crowd had left by our set time. The young kids were rockin' up there with us! I think that's about the same as the industry of Christian metal. It's becoming more and more accepted everyday, but We sometimes get flack for playing heavy music. However, as soon as they get to know us, they will see our hearts and that we have a heart for worship! Metal is just aggressive and passionate, the same way we feel about our God....

3. What is the meaning behind the name “Second Thief”?
When Christ was crucified on the cross, there were two thieves crucified on either side of him, the first thief cursed Jesus and denied he was God, the second repented and accepted Jesus' divinity. We are the second thief!

4. Name some of Second Thief’s musical influences. Any guilty listening pleasures (i.e. Family Force 5, Cobra Starship, Soulja Boy)?

Believe it or not, we don't listen to too much metal! My main influences are Rammstein, Skillet, and anything else I feel is rockin' at the time of writing!
Guilty pleasures? Anything happy-pappy techno like Basshunter, Alina, and Cascada. :)

5. Describe a typical Second Thief live show. Any signature moves or tactics on stage?
We just try to have a steady level of energy, and play well of course! I tell lame jokes.... We just have fun, whatever it takes!

6. What role has Jesus Christ played in Second Thief’s musical experience?
He is everything...Everything we do is a legitimate attempt to reach every person that hears our music for Jesus Christ, whether that be from the lyrics, a live show, or this interview.

7. If Second Thief was stranded on an island for 365 days, name 3 absolute necessities that would be of everyday use on the island.

1. Gameboy Color
2. Pokemon Silver
3. Walmart!

8. Are there any tours, EPs, LPs, or other exciting events on the horizon for this band?
We are right in the middle of the Locked & Loaded Tour right now, and when we get home, the next ep called "Prelude" will be released, with a string of CD release shows across the south. All details will be posted as we get them, but you can hear a song off of the ep on our myspace page!

9. Has Second Thief witnessed any spiritual miracles or religious conversions in the lives of fans, band mates, or otherwise?
When Perry was 7, his dog was crushed by a chair and his neck bone was poking from his neck. His parents rushed to lay hands on the dog and after prayer, Perry saw the neck bone retracting into the dogs body, and the dog started running around like nothing had happened.I'd say that's a miracle!

10. Any words of wisdom or advice for fans of Second Thief?

We love talking to everyone! Talk to us on aim whenever we're on... sn: secondthiefband. Stay updated on the release of the new ep, we can't wait to hear what you think! God bless you guys, we are grateful for you! Thanks for this interview!
