Thanks everyone who came out to The Velvet Lounge on Sat., October 17th evening and night and had a blast! All the bands were off the hook! Jesse Pagano made his triumphant return to L.I. with great new songs, his beautiful smile, and even Chris P. Cauley on percussion! The Mishap Brigade gave their best performance yet! Patchogue's Camera-Head Shark invaded the North Shore and conquered! Jebus tore the place up and then The Forensics (4NZX) burned the place down! We gave out annual awards to volunteers who went beyond the call of duty like Big Daddy, Sweet Suzi and Steve Lieberman, The Gangsta Rabbi! We raised a bit of dough for The Summer Be-In Festival, and some food donations for The Congregational Church of Patchogue! Thanks again for making this the most successful Be-In After-Party EVER! Real important Be-In / Solarfest Meeting coming up this Tues., Sept. 22nd at 6:30 PM at The Solar Cafe in Brentwood!

Topics to be discussed:

1. Post-mortem on the 2-day festival and Acoustic After-Party (held Aug. 22nd - 23rd): What went right, what went wrong, what we need to do to make it better and run more smoothly next year! This is NY Solarfest's equivalent of I-CON's "gripe session", so if you have any questions/problems/issues you would like to air out, now's the time!

2. Elections - this is overdue, and an important part of any org.!

3. Finance; After all was said and done, did we at least break even?

4. After-Party '09's line-up, schedule, venue & transit details, price, promoting, press release, fliers, food & clothing drive, etc.

5. Goody Bags & Awards: Who gets them, how many, cost, committee? / Keeping Jill Walker's classic Be-In tradition alive; we need contributions!!

Again, this is a great jumping-on point for new members! Did you sign 1 of our mailing lists and never heard from us? Consider this a personal invite to attend meetings!

P.S. - Here are simple directions for those unfamiliar with The Velvet Lounge: Take Nichols Rd. North all the way to the end. Make a right onto 25A. Start looking for The Curry Club on your right.
