'cause down the shore everything's all right
You and your baby on a saturday night
You know all my dreams come true
When I'm walking down the street with you

Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la
Sha la la la I'm in love with a jersey girl

You know she thrills me with all her charms
When I'm wrapped up in my baby's arms
My little girl gives me everything
I know that some day she'll wear my ring
So don't bother me man I ain't got no time
I'm on my way to see that girl of mine
'cause nothing matters in this whole wide world
When you're in love with a jersey girl

Tom Waits / Bruce Springsteen

Yesterday , after several friends and family members asked when the heck I was going to get my butt on Facebook, I did. What was really cool was seeing and chatting again with a bunch of Jersey Girls. The are the biggest, warmest, funniest, strongest women I know. They can do ANYTHING. They can most certainly make you laugh even on the darkest days.

They are Moms with jobs and a ton of things to do, and they do them all with flair, style and energy that is phenomenal! They can stand strong on their own two feet, yet rush to help each other (usually with food in their hands), at the drop of a hat. They ALWAYS make each other laugh, cry and really live life to the fullest.

Now, that said, there are some New York gals that I have to put in that category....Diane and Sandy for example. Where I lived in Jersey, the line between the states was pretty blurry. We "crossed that bridge" (or actually bridges), many times...that is, when we weren't in the Holland Tunnel...

To me Jersey is where the people are loud and so full or love. They let you know when you mess up, and then they pile tons of love on you. They also pile tons of AMAZING food on you....I sure do miss the pizza.

I was reluctant to sign on to Facebook, and do not think that I will have much time to spend there....Lord know it is hard enough doing what I do now and still have time to eat, shower and sleep.....but it sure was good seeing those Jersey Girls again. Some are friends, some are family, but they are all Goddesses!!

Enjoy your friends, enjoy your weekend!
Enjoy life by getting the lessons right the first time!

True friends are something that you can never have too many of!

Have a great weekend!

It amazes me the "warnings" that I get in my email. You know the ones, "thieves learn how to break into your car by recording your electronic key when you lock your doors"; "What Bill Cosby has to say about what he will do as a write in presidential candidate"; Target stores hate Vets and the Salvation Army"; Walmart cashiers are stealing from you by entering "Cash Back" ; "moon will be close to earth and look like a giant in the sky", when you do not want any......you get the picture.

Most of them take a quote or half fact and turn it into a whole mess. The car thing, totally false. The Bill Cosy thing, he never said what he would do, only said if people wanted to vote for him to write him in. The Target thing? Target is one of the highest donating retailers, they just don't give when asked , but to needy charities of all types, without bragging about it (they must have read the How To Do Good Works blog  ), and some vet got all riled because they were asked to donate to the Memorial Wall and refused. They refuse all requests and go just to the most needy, they made an exception for the Salvation Army, and when other groups complained (mostly the Vets), Target said, OK, NO ONE can collect at our stores. The WalMart cash back thing, a total fabrication. The moon thing, another fabrication.

The truth is that 99% of the "news flashes" that you get in your "In Box" every day are pure Grade A Garbage. So how is a person to know? Is that giant shark real? Is Obama really Narcisstic? Are rapists waiting on my front porch with a crying baby? Well, they are all false, and all you have to do, is go to Snopes.com or even Urbanlegends.com , put in a few key words, and BAM...instant answer.

The people who I have "turned on" to Snopes.com, love it, it is a lot less email for them to pass on!

It is amazing how ready the American world is to believe bad, scary, things, like that 2012 movie....good Lord help us. It is even more amazing that there are people who believe this crap, and pass it on!

So, as I always say.....RESEARCH, find out if your sources are good (Snopes is!), check and recheck before passing on the email about the 809 area code (there really are people that are not scammers with an 809 area code).

This RESEARCH should go on in all phases of your life, but before you ass on one of those SCAREMAILS....check it out! Add positive energy to te Universe, not negativity!

Be a SMART and well informed human.....

There is no reason to be misinformed anymore!

The whole theme of the transitions for 2012 , is growing. Growing means making adjustments, learning new things, losing anger, being more productive, opening up, being more picky (doing things the right way, and demanding others do to so ), taking the hard road,  and getting with the program.

I really think that a huge part of 2012 will be a total understanding and open communication with those who have passed, I guess alot of mediums will be out of a job....

The point is, that "the times they are a changing", but a lot of people are not. They just go along as they have for years. It has not been working for them all this time, they have been struggling, squeeking by, and blaming everyone else for their lot. They still are, and it will get tougher for them, The ante has been upped.......

It is so easy to see it in the situation of others. It is hard to see it in our own situations.

Here is an example. A client has a husband who has a crazy ex and a child with crazy ex. Child support is expensive and crazy ex drags them to court every month trying to get more money or full custody, so she can get more money......New wife, starts school (good thing), has a job (good thing). School schedule is difficult to mesh with job, home, and their new baby.....So hubby has 2 kids to support, and a wife in school. Typical American dream. Wife is having trouble with school schedule and quits job.

What do you think happened next?

If you guessed, stressed out ,unhappy homelife, you are right. He feels all the women use him, he feels strapped for money, and is afriad of losing things and not being able to pay the bills.

Now is NOT a time to quit a job. Unless your boss is physically abusing you in some way , STAY. There is still that recession fear in some folks who aren't enlightened enough to still be on the success bandwagon. They aren't hiring. Even in an everyday situation, you do not ever quit a job unless you have another one on tap!

Matt and I are working our butts off....I found a magic formula to more business and I guess his boss did too.....I know I did mine by being a smart business woman and combining that with metaphysics. The magic formula. Sitting on your ass and imagining prosperity is NOT the magic formula.

Not working, not contributing, is not helping. Everyone on the household needs to do their share, and this is not just in times of a so called recession. It is all the time! We live in a  prosperous country that has everything, and everything costs money. We dont live in a socialist country where we all get a bit of a substandard thing (thank God), handed to us. We get to earn better, be better, and grow.

Going to school is a good thing, but when hubby's wallet is running on empty, it isn't time to quit a job, it is time to GET A JOB.

It isn't time to spend, it is time to save.

What if you have a one income household and suddenly that one income is no longer there? What is your back up plan? The Lord helps those who help themselves!

Make sure that you have at lest 3 months of "bill money" in the bank at all times, this is seperate from Emergency money. Don't have it? Get it! Work, save, stop spending!!!
There are times when we have rough patches, but if you live your life paycheck to paycheck, you are a disaster waiting to happen, or maybe it already is happening.

When things happen, we need to adjust. There are all kinds of adjustments being made, transitions happening or about to happen. If a transition happens to you, make sure that you go with an adjustment, don't keep living your life as you were. The transition is to guide you to a different path, follow it. Resisting it makes more severe adjustments come.

Times are tough becasue the ex is getting more money? Less money coming in? Now is NOT the time to quit a job, it is time to GET a job. They are out there!!

Meanwhile, look and see if there has been a transition that you need to adjust for. They are easy to spot...change or loss of job/income. Spousal issues, losng your home, creditors calling, quality of people around you going down instead of up. Family and friend disasters.

Get the message and make changes before it is too late!

Transition....
Adjust....
Be productive and helpful, not a dead weight anchor .

Learn, grow, teach.
Do the right things for the right reasons!

" Man did not weave the web of life, he is merely a strand in it. Whatever he does to the web, he does to himself" Chief Seattle

Take that a step further, he also does good/harm , to those around him. They may not even be directly touching him, but they are still effected by his actions or inactions. These are old words, not from a"new age" author. They are also very true words.

Many people walk around with the attitude of , "it is my life". Well, yes it is, but unless you live on a desert island somewhere and will never leave that island , nor allow anyone else to land on it, you have to be very mindful of what you do. You may not intend to harm others, or you may flat out know that you are. It really doesn't matter, when we harm, it is a Universal and Karmic wrong that needs to be corrected. Many place any "bad thing" that happens in their life on something or someone else. The first step is not to look for who to blame outside , it is to look in the mirror to answer the question, "Why?". Look at the web you weave.

It can be as "small" as allowing your child to disrupt functions, others' meals in a restaurant, or a movie in progress. It can be as "large" as theft, murder, and abuse.

It doesn't matter. People think that they can do little "wrongs", and it will be OK. Sadly there are also people who think they can do HUGE wrongs and it is OK. Both, in the eyes of the Universe, are WRONGS. There isn't a point system. A wrong is a wrong.

Disregarding the mores of society, are just as bad as disregardng the local laws. Being rude, catty, cliquish, snotty, or egotistical, is just as bad as stealing in the eyes of the Universe, actually it can be worse.

People walk around with their heads held high, while the world falls apart around them. They pretend not to notice that they can't pay their bills, or that things are not going well in their relationships. All the while talking about others, and how messed up they are. Their Ego shines and they have their world crumble more and more. When they do comment on it, it is always someone else's fault. The economy, a person in the community, a neighbor, a politician, but never themselves. They see themselves as doing nothing but good....meanwhile destroying the weave of their family, friends, and the community. They then go to church; do community work; brag about their "good works", all the while they are sinking lower and lower. Making mistake after mistake. They won't stare it in the face til the end, then it will still be someone else's fault.

While they blindly stumble around, acting like all is well, they are harming others with each unkind word, brag, and action that benefits them alone.

If you are wandering around with the "I know it is wrong, but I am living my own life in a free country" attitude, it is time to look a little deeper and longer, at what you are doing to yourself and others around you. You are most certainly doing harm. All it takes in one unkind or untrue word.

Do not confuse this with saying to someone....you are doing that incorrectly, let me show you; please ask your child to lower their voice; please don't smoke in my home....these are not unkind or untrue words or actions, they are teaching, honesty, and action to help others. When you have an issue with a person, and never address them directly about it, then keep your mouth closed. If you have already addressed it directly with them, talk to others who may positively influence them, even to the point of the community. Never shy from teching the lesson correctly, by word or example. People somehow confuse silence with being "good", and courage to voice things, with being bad , actually it is just the opposite.

Being silent, does not mean being a good person, talking nasty about someone to harm, most certainly is not either....

Take a good hard look at your weave. No , it is not somone else's fault that the weave isn't right, and yes, you are most certainly harming the weave of others, especially those closest to you!

Do the right thing for the right reason.
This is not a popularity contest, it is school. Pass the test!

After talking to a client this weekend who lost her job (that she hated), I wrote to her about why she thought all this happened. She gets it, she knows why, and there are several reasons why for her.  None are that she was a bad person, but that she needed to move up and on.

If I wasn't let go eight years ago, apparently due to an efficiency "expert" saying I should go after 13 years and 7 promotions....then I wouldn't be working for myself today. I wouldn't have learned that the 2300 square foot, new house I built ,wasn't what would make a happy life for me and my family.

There is always a silver lining. Sometimes it takes a while for us to see it, years even. However it is always there. I had another friend struggle day by day with their own business because they wanted to work for themselves. They wanted freedoom in their schedule, and to make money for themselves, not another person. They finally realized that they were not cut out for it. Running your own business means working more, not less. It means more responsibility, no sick days or paid vacation. It means you pay all of your health care costs, If you can afford them at all. It means when the stuff hits the fan, it hits you, personally. People think that working for themselves is easy, it is fun, and it is big money. In fact it is none of those things. It isn't for the lazy or the "get rich quick" people. It certainly isn't for the ones who don't want to work in the first place. People who haven't worked for others for years in different positions make terrible business owners.

My client's cloud has a huge silver lining and it will help her actually have a better life now that the transition is happening. She isn't sitting on her butt waiting and complaining, and the rest of the family (two boys), have already made money saving plans, and money making plans. When one famly member stumbles, then another needs to pick up the ball and run with it, and these teens are out there kicking butt for their Mom because they love her!

There is no death sentance unless you give it to yourself.

When one door closes, another one opens, and it may be a door to a classroom, but it is there. Some people never walk through those doors because they don't like them. They may mean long hours or early/late ones; working weekends or working in a place they really don't want to. Sometimes there is some dues paying that needs to happen, and sometimes you get an opportunity for a dream job. This lady and her kids pulled together and they are going to not only make it, but make it better.

Transitions are all around us, when life hands you a challange, what are you going to do with it?????

Transitions will happen, and not all transitions feel bad at the start, some are pure joy. But on the "yucky feeling ones",  it is up to you to handle them in the right manner. Laziness; retaliation; verbal or physical attacks;the "oh woe is me" attitude;  hatred and negativity are NOT how you handle it, and probably what got you into a rough transition in the first place.

Find the silver linging, find those bootstraps, and pull yourself up and on! I did it, all by myself, and so is this single Mom client.

No excuses.....

Find the better life!

Namaste!

Here is my theory from living for about 17 years in one haunted house, and another year or so in a second one. Things don't just go bump in the night. They go bump in the day too. My theory , since I KNOW they go bump in the day, is that we just notice them more at night.

Maybe it is quietier in the house; we are sitting quietly instead of running around with our minds busy, not noticing things; we are possibly alone , or in smaller groups; we are in the house, not at work; we just get more in the "mood" to notice things. There may be some other sort of reason for more activity at night, but think about it. Time is a man made thing, There is no "time" on the other side. They don't check their watch and say...hey it is midnight, time to get haunting! Time is purely a man made, earth thing. It does not exist anywhere else. We limit ourselves.

I have seen objects move in the daytime, heard voices and noises in the daytime, and felt creeped out in the daytime. The stuff happens, it doesn't care that the sun is out.

I walked into a lighthouse (ghost story for another day), in NJ once that creeped me out so badly, I couldn't even eat for HOURS (that is so not like me, I LOVE food). This was in the middle of the day, the sun was shining and there were lots of people around. I wasn't the only one to feel this icky energy (what is up with lighthouses anyway??).

Maybe there is more activity at night, or maybe we just notice it more, but ghostly activity is NOT limited to the night time hours, nor to homes. They roam around outside too.

Some like to hide, maybe that is why they only come out at night. Someday we may know for sure!

So with that in mind, I will be doing a day time ghost walk. I don't know if we have any more room to be honest, as we may have to break into 2 groups as it is, but it will be interesting to see what we get. There are EVPs in the daytime too.....and ghostly forms.

There is a whole other world (or worlds), going on around you that you cannot see with your eyes or hear with your ears, but it is there.

We have the advantage of having both technical folks and sensitive folks in our group, it really helps us get a good picture of things, where to go , and what questions to ask. I can't wait to see what results we get after our daytime excursion.

So watch out on this Friday the 13th for things that go bump in the day!

Namaste!

I would guess that 80% of my phone calls start out with, "When will so and so call me?" The other is "Tell me about my love life"....I always innocently ask, "Who do you want me to look at for you?", knowing the answer is, "there is no one". After that little escapade the next question most likely is "What about my ex from a year ago, is he/she coming back?".

A question of "When will so and so call me", isn't a good question. First of all , you are assuming that so and so WILL call, when ,most likely they will not call, especially if they have not in a year's time.

Phrasing a question is so important in readings. I usually have to rephrase them. I ask first IF so and so will call, and take it from there.

Timing changes more frequently in a reading than anything else. This is usually due to free will. I told a person the other day that he would get paid if he did 3 things, by a certain date. The date passed. I asked if he did the 3 things. No ,he did one of them. Guess why he didn't get paid, his own free will got in the way.

Tarot is great for showing options and what will happen if you do "a" or "b". But you have to follow the "guidelines".

When there is something that you really are looking to see, make sure that you ask. Readers get a flow of messages and sometimes pass on the first CLEAREST message. That message may be about your home when you really want to know about your job. Then the reation is "they didn't pick up on what I wanted to know.". Psychics are not mind readers. The answer to your question does not come from your conscious mind, If it did , you wouldn't need us.

Many times we get info that you know nothing about (that is why we are psychics), and then the querant says..."well I don't know anything about that". Of course not, if I am reading on your future, you won't know anything about that!

The best way to get a reading , is to go with a clear mind, being ready to hear any answer. If there is an imposrtant topic, bring it up. Clarify situations.

I had a gal try to play a game last night. She asked how a person felt about her and what would happen with him. I looked, saw he was married, told her he had a tie to more than one person, and that he would be in and out of her life. She said...he's my husband. I felt bad, not becasue she tried to trick me (and failed), but I would have delivered the message in a kinder , gentler manner! Apparently he has a girlfriend and she knows, and wanted to know if he would always be like that, the answer was of course...yes. But why play games? What if I encrypted my messages to my clients? It isn't a game, it is making a request for life guidance to a higher power. It is serious stuff.

Know what it is your are seeking.

Be awake, sober, straight, and open.

Ask a clear question (you don't have to give a ton of details, just make sure the reader understands your question).

When there is a "thing" that needs to be done first, do it (don't ask when you have a job coming, and then not apply for any).

Don't go for a reading just for fun, go with a purpose, or the quality of the reading will be "just for fun". Like everything, you get out of it , what you put into it. Readings are work and expending energy. You wouldn't ask us to dig a ditch just for fun.....

Once the reader is reading for you, more info will come, sometimes on other subjects.

Don't go to a reading trying to hide something. It puts up a wall that makes a reading like pulling teeth.

I will be teaching another group tarot next week. I know these people, and they will most likely be using tarot for personal guidance and help for friends and family. Hopefully they won't spend their day , like me, being asked...when is so and so going to call?

Use the right tool for the job, and use it correctly!

No matter what you think about war, world peace, or other countries on this planet....please take the time today to send some positive energy to all our Veterans and all those who are still in the service all over the world. Issues of this planet are not black and white, there are many shades of grey, and none of that should color the support and love we give our men and women who are in the armed forces.

They can be here, in Iraq, in Afghastan, on a ship somewhere far at sea, but whether you agree with what they are doing or not, they are there for you. No questions asked, 24/7, 365 days a year. They would die for you, and have died for you, and your parents and grandparents.

I have had relatives fight in WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam, and Desert Storm. They have been Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force. Men and Women. Soldiers and WACs. They all gave everything they had for this country. They weren't horrible people, but giving people who would give their lives for their country....and many did.

So today say thanks, all the way back to ancestors who may have fought in the Revolutionary War, to a service person you may see on the streets. If you see an older gentelman with a hat that says "Retired Navy" or  "Army", just say "THANKS", he will know what you mean!

Thanking service people and blessing them does not mean condoning bad acts.

Say a prayer, send some Reiki, do a ritual, give some thanks....

Remember...if you cannot stand behind our troops, feel free to stand in front of them. They save lives everyday, hopefully it ill never come down to having to be yours personally.

Today I want to write about reiki. Reiki is a healing energy for body, mind and soul. It does what is for that person's "highest good".Reiki does not necessarily cure cancer, but it can. It can also help you develop a more positive thought process, or be at peace with a decision that you have made. It can help you make the right decision my getting your mind and heart in the right place. It can help people be ready to pass to the other side. It can cleanse your home, or even help prevent future ills.

It is for healing, but on a level that works in conjunction with what the Universe plans for us. It is intervention with the Universe, it is a request.

It is not a magic wand (there are none), or something to be used to bring about a result that is either not in your life plan, nor for your highest good.

Reiki is something that we all have in ourselves, even if we never had a reiki class. It is an innate ability, like intuitiveness, that we can choose to develop or not. The Universe doesn't force anything upon us, unless it has been trying to guide us in a direction over and over again and we have resisted its' gentle persuasion.

The Universe doesn't punish, it guides. It sets you on the path of the learning you need, and sometimes that may feel like punishment. You have to trust the Universe.

My business had slowed down on one level, but picked up on others. I wanted to keep building in the area that dropped off. I dropped my rates and now I am making more money (about 40% more) than I did at the higher rates! We need to trust in the Universe, try new things, and grow.

We need to use our tools we are given, from reiki, intuitiveness, to mediumistic qualitites, in a positive and helping manner. As I said in another blog, we need to use the right tool for the job. You wouldn't use a screwdriver to hammer in a nail. You might be able to get some success by using the handle to tap that nail in, but that would use more energy and not get the job done, or done properly.

Reiki is a wonderful tool for healing, and I have seen it do miracles. I have also used my intuition all my life, and it never has been wrong. Use the tools that you have in the right way , and the results will be amazing!

Need to get a job done, and not sure what tool to use? Just send an email and we'll sort it out.

Go with where the Universe wants you to go and you will have success everytime. Be where it doesn't want you to be and life will be a constant struggle. When life is years of having trouble paying the bills, you are doing something wrong. When life is years of relationship stress, you are with the wrong person. The Universe is not punishing you. you are punishing yourself by stubbornly holding on to a path that you are not to be on.

Use the right tools.
Do the right thing for the right reason!
Learn, grow, and teach!
Give without others knowing that you are giving.
Work hard, and be rewarded.

This beautiful weekend was a time of doing all sorts of fun things. That included running around locally to do things like Christmas shop, eat out, visit Wesselman's Woods , and so on. We were coming back from one excursion or another, when I heard Christmas music....yes Jingle Bell Rock was flowing out of the speakers on my car. I said, "Oh my God Matt, they are at it already, it has begun!"

I thought that we just had a Halloween bonfire. I am still focused on Thanksgiving. Christmas music used to start December first, then it was Black Friday, now apparently it is November whatever. Where did Christmas sneak in? I do Christmas shop early, well actually all year long. If I see something that I know somone would love, I buy it and tuck it away for Chritmas (the hard part is remembering where you tucked it away!). We actually did Christmas shop this weekend and pick out our tree at the Christmas tree farm up the road (it is still growing in the ground), but Christmas music!

We live in a world of instant gratification. We have cell phones that can get anyone, anywhere, anytime. We have microwaves that cook our food in short minutes, instead of an hour. We have internet news that can show up news as it happens. We have digital cameras, so we do not have to take the film to the (who remembers this one?), drugstore and wait a week for it to be developed.

We have taken all this RUSH, and allowed the retail shops and radio stations to push us right on to Christmas. I do have to say that "Toys R Us" was packed to the roof with shoppers, so again I say, recession my a$$, and that there are the coolest toys out there for kids these days. However, what is all the rush about!?

I can remember counting the days til school closed for the holiday, praying for a white Christmas that maybe happened twice in my lifetime, and Christmas day being a quiet, beautiful day. Even Christmas Eve. Everything closed. EVERYTHING. No gas stations, no convenience stores, and there were no Wal-marts. You made sure that you had everything you needed, and gas in your tank, because no one was open on Christmas. The only hope that you had for seeing others, was a movie theater in a big city and maybe a Chinese restaurant. Everything else was CLOSED. The world had such a silence, peace and quiet to it. Everyone was tucked away at home, or in a family home somewhere , and nothing stirred, just like in the old Christmas story.

Christmas has a whole different feeling these days. It doesn't feel like it used to, I don't know how else to explain it. When I lived in PA, it had that sort of feeling again, maybe because our town only had one gas station to begin with, but it was there. That feeling of peace, quiet, and comfort. I can remember driving to my aunt's house an hour away and seeing MAYBE 25 other cars.

Now Christmas is an all out rush. We rush to get to it, get through it , and to visit everyone we know. Well, I don't. The rush for me is getting airline tickets for the kids to get here (who really aren't "kids" anymore), before Christmas, and getting them home before New Year's Day. How do people find time to run all over when there are beds to make up, packages to wrap, food to cook, decorations to hang? Where do they find the time to rush around?

Take the time to SLOW DOWN. The world is not about instant gratification. It is about living, learning, sharing, and teaching. You can't do that at 100 MPH. Take the time to spend with friends, chat on the phone, sit in the outdoors and enjoy Mother Nature. Take the time to explore, share, and visit. Slow down and make sure that you really know what you are doing, who you are hanging out with, what you are learning. We zoom through things and never really learn, research or know. Then we venture out into the world ill informed.

Slow down. For so many reasons.

Take the time to enjoy Mother Nature most of all, if you do not have the time to spend outside sitting and doing nothing for even a few minutes, all you are doing is rushing headlong to meet your expiation date, and another trip to the Earthwalk to get  the really important things done.

Slow down.

Have a great week!
