Greetings from the DISPLACED camp,

First off, let us apologize for the lack of updates as of late. It
seems as if DISPLACED has been dormant but nothing could be further from
the truth. In actuality, we are always working and constantly doing
whatever needs to be done to move to the next level.

Now, there are some praying to whoever they choose that the machine
will come to a halt. We can proudly say, we are happy to dissapoint
them. You, our fans, keep us going. Your energy and support are the
things that drive us. We will continue as long as we have the strength
to do so. The pictures and players may change from time to time but
that's not what DISPLACED is. DISPLACED is something more. DISPLACED is
that intangible that you struggle to define. DISPLACED is ever changing
and never stopping.

As we speak we are hard at work preparing material for our next full
length album and preparing to go back on the road this fall. Keep an eye
out to see who we'll be touring with. That means DISPLACED will be
coming back to your town shortly. Remember this, the best is yet to
come!

So, with that being said, come join us as we make our first Buffalo
appearance since Feb. We'll be playing at Club Diablo with hometown
heroes Green Jelly. You won't want to miss this! Green Jelly, DISPLACED,
Club Diablo... what could be better? We'll see you there and on the
road.

The new Myspace music has come along with new music players and the coding information this week.   It's creating havoc with our unique layouts, like ours and thousands of other bands, on Internet Explorer.

Myspace is working on a correction after designers have voiced their opinions. 

Until then, if you want to add a song to your profile, you have to use Firefox or Safari.

We at the displaceD camp wanted to take this opportunity to address a few events.

First and foremost, we wanted to welcome two new members to the family. Neil Rodriguez. You may remember him from bands such as Motherbirth, A Mourning Vision and Wings of Eden. He is without a doubt the drummer we have always been looking for and adds a power to the music that you can feel the moment he hits the first cymbal. He is also a veteran of the music scene and we are excited to have him on board. Second, we have Erik Johannasen. You may know him from The Rev. He brings an energy and desire to not only tour but to sacrifice that finally matches the rest of the band. The puzzle is now complete and this is DISPLACED. As we move forward, the constant changes and lack of foundation are no more. The future is more exciting than the past and now the real work begins. National touring, writing, touring and more touring. The NEXT album will define the band on a national level and eclipse anything we have done before under the constraints. Prepare yourselves.

On another note we want to bid farewell to our old friends Ryan and Jimmy. They are on a path that is no longer in congress with DisplaceD and have chosen to part ways. We wish them well in their separate pursuit of musical/personal endeavours. The road and touring lifestyle isn't for everyone and we respect and encourage their decision. We, on behalf of our record label, management, and booking wish them well.

These events have in no way slowed the progress of the band (in fact, we are moving faster) and now that we are finally unified we can continue doing what we love... making music for the fans, bringing you an incendiary live show and hopefully helping to unify the Buffalo music scene. We thank each and every one of our fans for the continued support and without you, we wouldn't be doing this.

It has been awhile.

Looking forward to visiting some amazing friends through many cities in the coming months. We'll try to make it an event to remember. It's been too long as they say. And now that the time is upon us. we cannot wait any longer.

July is destined to be an amazing month.
