A new song I wrote, 'Train', is in a movie hitting theaters this week called American Teen, directed by Nanette Burstein. The movie is being widely distributed and should be playing in most major cities. It earned Burstein the Directing Award this year at Sundance.

The soundtrack includes The New Pornographers, Blackalicious, MGMT, Does it Offend You Yeah, Black Kids, Cat Stevens, the Unicorns and others. It's being distributed by Columbia Records and is available in music stores as well as Amazon and Itunes.

If you use Itunes, click Nyles Lannon - American Teen (Music from the Motion Picture)

Big thanks to music supervisor Chris Douridas for all his support, and to Flip Baber for his string arrangements and programming.

Enjoy!

I was recently invited to be a part of the Rosehill Collective here in SF, an awesome group of very supportive and motivated local bands. We are putting out a compilation and having a party to celebrate. I unfortunately won't be able to perform at the party, but nonetheless its going to be great and you should check it out if u are in the Bay Area. Details below.

Rose Hill Collective Releases V2

If you're familiar with the last Rose Hill Compilation then look for an exciting new disc to be released May 17th at the Great American Music Hall in SF. V2 bands include: Nyles Lannon, LoveLikeFire, Audrye Sessions, Street To Nowhere, Silian Rail, Built For The Sea, The Hundred Days, Overview, Poor Bailey, Or, the Whale, Here Here, Cold Hot Crash and Birdmonster.

Rose Hill Collective is a group of bay area bands that pool resources to increase awareness of our totally awesome local rock scene. We released the volume 1 compilation CD last year and passed out thousands of copies for free and this year we'll be doing the same. The difference in this release is that we're going to celebrate it with a super awesome party! We have an extraordinary release show at the Great American Music Hall with V2 bands performing.
