It's been awhile since a word has been said on MySpace. That's because we've been chatting it up on our blogspot page. Why? Well, it's easier and it's a good way to log our progress with the album. So there. Click the blogspot pic on our main page and have a look at some pics, words, and videos... and very soon some audio snippets.
To recap rather quickly, we've finished the bass, samples, and drums. The drums sessions at CRC were a dream come true. We really can't wait for you to hear this stuff. Of all the engineers at CRC we ended up with Chris Shepard (Pumpkins, Hum, Incubus, Wilco, Elvis Costello... urg!). I'd be happy to pay and watch that man work on someone elses music. "Hey Chris, can you make the drums sound like... holy shit". The sound was so impressive we decided to re-track all of the guitars. Yeah, it's going to take a bit longer but it'll be worth it. Boat's bass doesn't need to be re-tracked though. Apparently it already sounds fantastic. He's such a boob.
Several guests will be tracking their stuff within the next month or so too and Mr. BoJangles has come and gone but fear not... he has made his (skid) mark.
We're happy to tell you that a few shows are in the not-too-distant future. Keep checking the calendar.
Ho ho ho!! Santa is coming!

Thanks to all that made it out to our last show (for awhile). It was one of the best shows we've ever played as musicians (but not as magicians). We will see you soon and the next time we do we hope to have our first album on hand.
All the best, TPP

We didn't mean to scare you. It's not our very last show however it will be for quite awhile so please please please don't miss it. How can you miss a show with free beer???
The main reason for the hiatus is that we're recording our first full length album. Pre-production has already started, then it's off to CRC in Chicago. We wanted to put our full attention to recording so we had to stop booking shows in order to do this.
We're looking for guest musicians for the record too. Please send us a message if you or someone you know plays the following instruments and can learn parts quickly: Cello, Violin, Viola, Trumpet, Sax, Trombone.
So I'll say this once more: free beer, last show (for awhile). Be there, beware.

As the ball keeps rolling we've booked a few shows and are in the middle of getting a few more locked down. To help this process out a bit we've decided to demo three more songs. The songs are called "The Spring", "Always Connected", & "SpaceFast". The drums are done and the rest will be completed in the next few weeks... of course they will be posted here.
Hope to see your smiling faces at the shows.

Hi. How are you. That's excellent. Yes, the weather is acting up a bit, but hey, what can you do?
Okay, now that we got the pleasantries out of the way.........what the hell are pleasantries anyways? Is that like when you find the crackerjack prize in grandma's pantaloons? I mean, you get shot for wearing that shit where I come from.
But for cereal. What does phase five mean? Is it the name of your favorite nu-metal band? Possibly. But for The Projection People, it means that we now have five members. That's like, a full band, bitch. After less than a month, we've got half a set down tight, and we'll be ready to hit the town/towns in September. Thanks to Brad and Scott for learning so quickly and for adding so much to what we started with.
Check out some new pictures of everbody and leave us some silly comments/fashion tips.
See you soon.
And check out the new Tomahawk. That shit is crazy yo.

Pidbits.
Hi everybody!!
Well it's been a fun three months of writing and tracking this pile of music and we're now ready to get ourselves into a rehearsal space. The shows must happen before Summer is over with or we'll cry. Continuing to record as we write is a must and now we'll have more time to do so.
This month we've parted ways with Joe Ramos. We've learned a lot from him and we've written some great stuff in the short time that we were together. We're glad we were able to finalize "Headlights" before his departure and that his mark has been made on this project. His ideas will continue to inspire as he keeps up on his own projects. You'll be able to find out more about them here and here.
As we continue to chug away on recording we're closing in on finishing two more songs. One you may know already and the other may make your brain sauce (yes). We hope to have another track posted in a few weeks.
Plums, PP
P.S. If you're a drummer who is dedicated and open to many different beat styles then we would like to hear you play. A sense of humor is a must. Please let us know if you'd like to try us out.
