Will i? Will i ever? First i was standing in a long line. i was waiting. i felt pressure. it came in waves. i didn't want to go in to the pressure waves, but i did. everyone said i'd like it and i liked it. pressure was pleasure. Someone yelled. i liked it. i went home. i was the alligator. i bit, i whipped, i waited. i looked good - the best i could. Where were you? i waited. i changed. i was the elevator. Hey Alex "the elevator", whassup?. Over and over. "Yo!" How many times did i meet you? Over and over. Nasty. Everything has to work. "The alligator" works. "The elevator" works. i can't met you anymore. i can't listened to you anymore. i have to worked. i have to worked to paid. What'd you do? You became smart. Learn to said "no" "thank you". "What? Come on." i'm not the alligator anymore - i won't bite . i'm not the elevator either - we won't meet. i won't drive for days to pretend i'm not arriving. i'm the apple-ater. Always has been. Always was. i am was. Now i'm not. Now i was not. Now is whatever you want. Do you want to apple-ate? No? You want fat-round numbers. crunch. sweet little pressure plumbs. crunch. avowal of pleasure. crunch. now i want now i get. crunch. now i think now i say. crunch. Now i hope now i'm ashamed? i have to think so. Always did and, now i'm telling you, you'll never be the alligator again, but i was.

Dumbdowneden suite was written by me especially for the launch of Nathan Whitlock's first novel - "A Week of This". He's getting well deserved praise for it from all sorts of people. I think the book is as good a thing as i have read in a long time and i was honoured that Nathan asked me to entertain the people at his baby's bris.
I'm pretty happy with the piece as a composition - its my first try at this sort of thing, and i'm already doing more. The performers on this recording are "The Weeklongs", namely Brodie West -alto sax, Colin Fisher - tenor sax, Ryan Driver - analogue synth, and myself on violin.
Check out Nathan's Blog - its fu**in' funny! http://nathanwhitlock.blogspot.com/
