We just finished a show at, YO PARK FESTIVAL, hong kong on 28th august, and before that we are in KL for DONGTAIDU FESTIVAL II on 17th may.

BUT we are not forgetting all our friends here in singapore.

So we decided to organise a party for the band to celebrate its 8 years old. YES!!! is been 8 FXXKING YEARS!!!

Thanks to all who support, been with, goin thru, us since 2001, so this is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Alfe Kim

Biography

Drummer, Educator, Mentor. Alfe has been a veteran and leader of the local independent music scene for more than a decade.

Through his passion and belief, he has lent his music voice and skill across
the varied and vibrant music communities of Singapore, regardless of
language and music genre, from the indie to the commercial, from the
contemporary to the underground.

He was a member of LIVONIA (1998-2002), an alternative rock band which scored a string of radio hit singles (Zerofeel, Let Go, Vengeance Is Mine) and was the winner of COMPASS Top English Pop Song 2000.

In 2001, Alfe joined OPPOSITION PARTY as permanent support drummer, and has performed in UK, France, Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China & South Korea to support their overseas activities.

His growing body of work currently includes local chinese gothic metal pioneers LA' DIES, ENIGMATIC ARMY record label artistes SAJID AKBAR & VICTOR, Top40s band ALTEREGO & rock instrumentalist SHERN WONG.

A pioneer of the Singapore Jrock scene, his current & former students include
Vics (Lucify), Jun (Ethe'real), Geist (LivEvil) & Ridzwan (Aries Kaizer) and he has supported & mentored many local Jrock groups including DEATHOPIA, YI XUAN FENG, GENEXIS & Singapore Street Festival 2004 & 2005 closing bands D'JPARTY.

He is a founding member and the current chairman of DRUM XCHANGE SINGAPORE, a non-profit group that brings drummers together in the spirit of drum knowledge sharing and community-building.

He also serves as Deputy Head of Drums at THE MUSIC LAB, a leading music education institution, where his responsibilities include mentoring younger
instructors and syllabus development.

Alfe is endorsed by Mapex Drums and uses Zildjian Cymbals.

La'Dies have contributed a track by the name of Human Trafficking on
the compilation PLAYSpeak by The Enigmatic Army. This album consists of
chinese indie veterans like LGF, ah5ive, brilliant post rockers In Each
Hand A Cutlass, emotionally charged Killer Soap to funk rockers Ugly In
The Morning to heavy metal/ punkers such as Crazimalz and Masquer to
even ambient folksters like Sajid and The Lost Boys from India.

Psyche CDREVIEWS by Christopher Toh (Mediacorp.com.sg)

The local Chinese goth scene might be a minority within a minority at the moment, but this EP aims to correct that.

Song-wise, Psyche could be the background track to the Saw movies - they have just the right amount of punch and Rui's vocal delivery really gets the
(angry) emotion across.

The only gripe is the the poor sound mix dampens the energy that is obviously there in the performance. JDR, for example, could have done with a heavier bottom end, instead of a tiny "radio sound"

Still, this is a good enough start.
