The Shadow Reaper A Halloween Poem by: Jennifer Byers "The fog rolled in thick and cool as the wind whispered a faint tune. You'd think me no less than a fool to return here so terribly soon. Ah, yes the thought makes you shudder as the twilight grows still darker. You stand in frozen wonder could I be simply a stalker? That notion more serene perhaps but if this stalker is something more... ...your mind races to grasp... ...something more...perhaps a trap! Have you come here an innocent wanderer out for a moonlit stroll, Only to find an elusive, shadowy admirer here to claim an innocent soul?"

Moment of Zen - October 15th, 2007 "A Halloween Poem"

Moment of Zen - October 14th, 2007 "Andalusite (and/or) Chiastolite"

Chiastolite is a variety of andalusite, sharing those properties in addition to the ones below. Also known as the "cross stone" because of a natural cross pattern, produced by a darker axis and angles colouring. This is the key "signature" by which to understanding its valuable properties. The fact that this stone has had its uses so clearly indicated by those with even a preliminary knowledge of geometric and numeric qualities, is an indication of its importance.
Chiastolite is primarily a stone of balance, stability and harmony, as traditionally indicated by the cross. It can help with physical, mental, intellectual and emotional stability, enhancing problem solving and adapting to change. It can enhance spiritual awareness and inspiration, as well as astral travel and practical creativity.
Chiastolite is used for healing rheumatism, blood disorders, veins, blood circulation, balance of blood pressure (high or low), and lactation. It has a specific use in balancing all base chakra energies.

Andalusite is generally black, brown and/or olive green. In gem grade and Cross Form, Andalusite is called Chiastolite, Cross Stone or Macle. Sometimes referred to in ancient texts as Lapis Crucifer meaning Cross Stone. Because it forms in a natural cross, it is considered one of the Religious Gemstones.
Mystical Properties: Discovered in Spain, Andalusite is a naturally occurring gemstone that forms crosses. Considered a talisman for the very psychic or sensitive as it is said to ground their energies. Thought to help access the Akashic Record, or the spiritual library of all that is or ever will be.
Chiastolite is often mentioned as a gemstone of protection and was once used to thwart Evil Eye curses.
Considered a gemstone to enhance the intellect, problem solving abilities and mental clarity.
Sometimes mentioned as being conducive to messages from the netherworld.
Thought helpful to all lower Chakras. Natural Healers use Chiastolite to bring protection and balance, especially during periods of upset or change. Considered helpful for all Chakras, though most often associated with the 1st Chakra and used to allay fear, anxiety and guilt.
Associated with the sign of Virgo.
Healing Properties: Reduce anxiety, stress and guilt. Lonelieness, depression. Mysterious fevers. Sometimes recommended to improve milk flow in lactating women.
Scientific Properties: Found in metamorphic and contact metamorphic zones. Composed of Aluminum Silicate. Forms in carbonaceous clayey slates. Crosses (Chiastolite) form when carbon rich impurities form an axis along the crystal.
Important localities include: Massachusetts, California and Brazil. Hardness 7.5 on the Moh's Hardness Scale

Note: This is among my favorite poems that I've written
Harvest Night by: Aubrey Damhnait Fae
"Twilight comes and the stars awaken from their slumber. Full moon lights the path through Enchanted Forests, as fireflies and Faery-folk dance upon rain kiss'd leaves.
Shadows dance on the fertile ground as the majestic pines sway to and fro.
Twilight fades to the darkness of night as the forest awakens to the sounds of Mother Earth.
I'm wrapped in the soft glow of the full moonbeams and entranced by the sweet scent of rain.
I feel at home sitting beneath my favorite tree.
Melodic river and soft rustle of the woods giggle with mystery...hinting of the 'Woodland Realm'.
I embrace the cool, familiar comfort of this Harvest Night."

In case you missed my bulletin --
Hello all! :-)
I'm working on a concept for a book I'm writing on astrology. As some of you already know, I often write up birth charts for friends and family. I'm considering putting some birth charts into this book as examples. Therefore, I will need some willing participants for this project. If you are interested, all I would need is: Your full name, date of birth, location of birth and time of birth.
Your date of birth should be in Month, Day and 4-digit year format. Full name should include any middle names. If you prefer me not to include your real name, please let me know. Also, if you go by an alias (eg: a pen-name), please let me know if you would prefer to be referred to by that name.
Many thanks!

Who knows how long this will remain my main page song. However, if you know me - you more than likely know of my love of Ireland and the profound beauty of the Gaelic language.
"Sigma" is an older Secret Garden song of their cd "Songs from a secret garden", released in 1996.
I thought you might enjoy the lyrics - both Gaelic and English translation. (If this song is no longer on my page by the time you read this, I strongly recommend you find it and give it a listen.)
Secret Garden "Sigma"
Bim ar thoir an comhartha Scaoileas m'anam saor Caithfidh mo chroí a bheith glan Roimh siochán theacht chúm
Ní leanfaidh mo Bhrón Is béim sásta le mo ghrá Guim comhartha chabhreoidh liom Mé a chomhlíonadh
Bim ar thoir an comhartha Scaoileas m'anam saor Caithfidh mo chroí a bheith glan Roimh siochán theacht chúm
Sí an ghaoth do ghuth Sí an bháisteach do dheora Grian, do chroi ar las Do spiorad mo shlánú
English Translation: I search for the sign That will set my soul free My heart must be pure So that I can find peace
My grief cannot last forever My love will be fulfilled I pray a sign will help me Be all that I can be
I search for the sign That will set my soul free My soul must be pure So that I can find peace
The wind is your voice The rain is your tears You burning heart And spirit is my salvation

"No wonder our perception of beauty is distorted"
How true. Unfortunately this idea of what is "beautiful" is being forced-fed, non-stop on a daily basis to young girls all over America. Just look around Myspace for example. You'll see 14 and 15 year old girls with more make-up than some of my most feminine friends. And in addition to that, they are using Photoshop and programs of the like to erase their "flaws", thus turning themselves into spray painted miniature supermodels - or - what they are told is "beautiful". It is disgusting. While I was on the road to Virginia, I stopped over night in Alabama. The hotel I stayed in was having a convention for child beauty pageant contestants. Everywhere I looked there were these decked out little girls - most of them somewhere around 6-8 years old. What is that telling these children? Can you imagine what they will be like when they are teenagers? It's fashion as well - clothing, brand name items that these kids "must have".
What is your opinion on this?

Our prayers are with you, Hokies. You and your families. Blacksburg, VA - Virginia Tech UniversityAs most of you know, I recently moved back home (here in the Deep South) from Central VA. I thank God that my friends who go to VT are alright and my heart goes out to all the victims and their families. Today, we are all Hokies. It's a scary world we're living in now. Be thankful for every day you're blessed with. inner PEACEout, Jenny
