Hello all my friends from the animal kingdom,

Today (November 21st) I will be releasing a limited number of digital copies (300) of songs from my new E.P at a discounted price! Along with it you can get two very old Ladybug Landslide B sides of songs that I sold only at live shows on burned CD's back in 2007. They are some of the first recordings I did in my room and are only available during this time!

You can find them at ladybuglandslide.bandcamp.com. The site is like i Tunes except the artist has way more control over things. I'll still be releasing the E.P (minus the 2 "b sides") on i Tunes in late December.

Take advantage of this while you can.

Thought I'd update you guys on the status of the E.P.

At first I thought this was going to be a five song E.P, but now it looks like it will be a seven song E.P...so almost a full length but not quite. Kinda like hitting what you think is a home run but then seeing it hit the far wall and hit the ground. :)

Anyway, It should be getting sent off to iTUNES sometime this week and if that's the case, should drop on iTUNES sometime around December 20th.

Hey everyone!

I know it's been a while since I've done much of anything with Ladybug Landslide but trust me it's not over, far from it in fact. I've just been on your playing drums for backseat Goodbye and haven't had much time recently.

I will be releasing a new 5 song E.P in mid - late December titled "Old Friends New Enemies" on iTUNES. Honestly I don't want you to have to wait for some of the songs so I've made a download link so you can download 2 of the new songs for your listening pleasure! This is ABSOLUTELY FREE and only for a limited time..(a couple days) so get on it now! The only thing I ask is that you send me a comment telling me you downloaded the songs and what you think of them. I think that's a fair trade for free music :)

Go to: purevolume.com/ladybuglandslide
You can download them off of the player.

Hope you enjoy them!

Hello all you sweet friends, supporters and random creepers!

A lot of you have been waiting for my announcement and I'd like to thank you for your patience. Before I go any further I'd like to say that I'm currently kinda high on hydrocodone (lorotab). No I'm not a pill popper but I am in pain. I had a root canal done by the dentist today and it isn't exactly a pleasant experience. So with that said if you see any grammatical errors then you know why.

ANYWAY! On with the point of this blog.

To some of you this won't make a difference but for some of you I think you'll like this.
Last year I was on tour with Backseat Goodbye and during the month we were out Chad talked to me about playing drums for him later. I didn't think he was serious but 2 months ago he called me up and asked if I would still be down for it. Of course Chad being a good friend I said yes.

So, as of last week, I, along with my bass player Davey Hudson, are Backseat Goodbye's official live band! There are two things I'd like to emphasize right now. Number 1 being this does not mean the end of Ladybug Landslide by ANY means. I still plan to tour and record when I'm not on tour with Backseat Goodbye. In fact I'm looking at doing a Ladybug Landslide tour this December. Number 2 is that Backseat Goodbye is still Chad Sugg. Chad will still be writing all of the songs for BG and have FULL control over all of his music. I am personally very honored to be a part of what Chad is doing because after knowing him for almost 3 years, I have seen the unparralled passion he puts into his music.

We have been busy practicing the last several days as a full band and so far so good. We have made it to where we keep his old songs sound almost the same except with real instruments because I don't want to change drastically what all his fans are familiar with.

In closing, go read Backseat Goodbye's announcement that he should be posting later tonight about this, knowing Chad it could be tomorrow though. I hope you all support me in my decision to help out a friend and fellow artist to make his show better. By the way his new songs are killer. They were produced and recorded by Ace Enders (The Early November, I can make a mess..).

ALSO!!!! Be on the lookout for brand new tracks from my own upcoming E.P titled "Old friends, New enemies" coming mid - late November exclusively on iTunes!!

  Thank all of you again!

Be sure to take a look at Backseat Goodbye's Headlining tour starting this weekend!! Come see me play drums with Chad and I'll be playing 2 dates as Ladybug Landslide on this tour as well!

If you guys down in the states want to see me play then I'd suggest getting your cute asses out to one of these shows because I don't know when I'm touring again. It could be a good long time. For those of you in AK you should come out anyway because I'm making a 10 day, 10,000 miles round trip to play for you. If you plan on coming bring as many people as you can fit in your car.

I was walking through the woods yesterday and was thinking about what I could do to make the 4,000 mile drive to Alaska in August more fun.

I came up with the idea of a video blog scavenger hunt. What that means is I'm going to make a list of 10 things I have to find and do a video blog with in some form or fashion. I'll start doing the blogs on my drive up to Alaska which will be around August 9th - 12th and go through September 8th. I won't be making one everyday but I should end up with 10 if my list gets completed.

Here is my list:

1- A bear
2- A moose
3- The Northern Lights
4- Middle of nowhere Canada - Shouldn't be too hard.
5- Alaska/Canadian border
6- Mt. McKinley - Tallest mountain in North America
7- A whale
8- An igloo - Only found in northernmost parts but I think I can find one ;)
9- Anchorage Skyline
10- Santa's House -This isn't a joke either...get ready...-

*BONUS POINTS*
- Sarah Palin
- The elusive Tundra Wookie

Last year I was amazed at how many of you helped me raise money to fly to Alaska for shows and Christmas. This year..next month actually.. I'm planning to go back for more shows.  I had it all planned out to where I had a tour to the Canadian border so I'd be making money off shows. HOWEVER! In a surprising turn of events, the people who were supposed to be booking the tour didn't do it. (Sarcasm)

So now I again need some help to get there.
I won't be flying this time, I'll be driving.
If you think it's a cheap thing to do, then let me break it down for you.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4000 miles from Nashville, TN - Fairbanks, AK
4000 miles back from Alaska to Tennessee
300 or so miles from Anchorage, AK - Fairbanks, AK
Gas prices in northern Canada reaching $8.00 a liter
70 hours of driving one way.
My car gets 350 MPT.
That's filling up roughly 23 times.
Multiply that by 36 dollars to fill the gas tank and you get $828.00,
that is my expense in gas alone.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'll probably be sleeping in the car in Canada to keep Hotel costs down.If you (YES YOU!)  want to help me get there then you can donate any amount of money you want to my PayPal account (info at bottom).
I don't have a label so sometimes I need help to do things.  Last year people donated anywhere from $2.00 - $100.00.
If you can even donate $1.00 to me that would help. because it would only take 800 of the 19,750 on my list to get me there that's less than %10 of you.

If you donate $5.00 or more I'll send you a CD, I know it's like paying for one but you save $3.00 and you won't pay shipping.

Here are some photos from last years trip that you guys made possible.

                                   Anchorage, AK

                                       Portage Glacier

My boys & I in the band Nitengale, they are from AK but live with me in TN now.

Thanks to MySpace's new programming I can't link a donation button to the blog anymore so if you'd like to donate go to PayPal.com,go to "send money", type in my email address and donate as much or as little as you want.

MY E-MAIL FOR PAYPAL DONATIONS IS:
justpassingheadlights@hotmail.com

Again, to donate go to paypal.com, go to "send money" and type in my e-mail with how much you want to donate.

If I get the funds, I'll be updating with video blogs on the way to and while I'm in Alaska. I'll also list the people in a "Thank you" section in an upcoming blog.

I'll be playing Fairbanks and either Wasilla or Anchorage...or if I'm lucky both!!

Thank you guys!
-Marshall

(I dropped a tour with Goot and Breathe Electric to do this Alaska thing if that tells you how much I want this).

So those of you who weren't around last time I did this it's pretty simple.
All you have to do is ask me a question and I'll answer under your post!

Make sure you ask it here, ON THIS BLOG POST and then check back later and see if I've answered you.
I'll answer ALMOST anything. There are only a handful of questions I won't answer because they are a bit too personal for the whole internet community to see.

Also check and see if someone already ask the same question you did. If someone did and you didn't see it all you will get is "I've already answered that one". It's not me being a dick, I just hate answering the same thing twice or thrice.

So with all that said....let's see what you guys want to know.
