Bursting onto the scene in 2005 Andy Cessford has a DJ CV
reading like a who's who of clubs. His melodic and groovy house, electro and
techno inspired beats have rocked dance floors in prestigious London venues
such as Ministry of Sound, Pacha and Turnmills and clubs in Australian capital
cities Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. He's played on the same bill as the
likes of Eric Prydz, Switch and Hot Chip and not content with just DJing live
he also presented a Saturday show on worlddance FM broadcasting to a global
audience. His production skills are gaining momentum with each release and his
tunes and remixes have seen support from the likes of Mixmag's Janette Slack
and Passion FM's Simon Saunders.
THE
TRACK:
This latest track by Andy Cessford has his production bubble
rising further.
'1978' is a progressive house tune with electro tinges to
please the dance floors and has already been played at MoS, Pacha and
Gatecrasher. This looks like it's going to be a summer anthem.
The original mix sees a fat rolling bass line and off beat
sounds bubble and build to the mini breakdown building up again to drop you
into the main lush synth driven riffs of the tune. Summer drenched Moog style
synths and pads lead the way in the track and the layers just keep building and
building to the pad driven atmospheric breakdown. This slowly building affair
takes you back to the drop of the main tune where the synth layers increase
once more with a very uplifting and catchy pattern that adds to the overall
'feel good factor' of this tune.
Remixes comes by way of a tribal remix from Australian
outfit 'Muskat Project' and the electro house remix is finished to perfection
by Scottish producer Mark Lawrence.
