Ok, OK....this is Northern VA, and it IS Redskin's territory, but we all know the large numbers of Pittsburgh Steeler fans that are in the Northern VA area.  We see them everywhere.  We see the cars decorated with Steeler logos.  We see the fans saturate the local bars for the games.  Recently, when Hines Ward was at the Dulles Town Centre Mall for an autograph session, we saw the Steeler faithful in huge numbers.  The Mall looked like any Pittsburgh Area Mall on a football Sunday.

Being a Steeler fan myself, I enjoy this.  Steeler fans show the colors.....even in a bad season!!

This is what I want to see.....Steeler fans....during every game, let's gather in masses at Spanky's Shenanigans to watch our team on the big screens.  A good portion of the staff are Steeler fans.  If we get enough of us out here, then I will personally design a Spanky's Steelers T-shirt to sell, with proceeds going to benefit our area's Children's Hospitals.  There will be other Steeler based surprises, so let's raise the "This is Steeler Country" banner in the pub, and cheer the team on. 
For our fans.  For our team.  For our children in need.

Hey everyone.
I apologize, but due to my main job schedule, and some job related training in North Carolina, I haven't been keeping up with the page and the flood of e-mails.  I recently turned over duties of the main webpage, and will be back on track with this myspace page over the next few days.  The page is going to undergo some minor changes, and I will be kicking off a new myspace page for our other restaurant in Charles Town, WV-Liberty Street Pub and Grill.  The Liberty Street site will have some very interesting info, including a section of the resident ghost that is believed to be there...Miss Emily!
In the meantime, I encourage eveyone to come out on Thursday Night for Paul Lewis performing live with our very own Jeff, who becomes "Pongo Zee Bongo" for the evening.
Other events upcoming.....St Patrick's Day is looming large, and I will be prepping the page for that event.
......There will be a "Big 4-0" Party happening on Saturday April 4th for yours truly.  Yes, I officially become old. All are invited, and we have a good band playing that night called "3AM PANIC".  I have heard their demo CD, and it should be a good time.
.......Warm weather is around the corner, and so is the re-opening of our deck area out back.  I am working on a design for an enclosed deck bar, and if all works out, we will be opening that in late Spring.
More info coming as I get some planning meetings out of the way with Jeff and Azmi.

Good Morning everyone!

Last night we celebrated Jeff's Birthday and it was a blast!

If you were at Spanky's last night then you were treated to TWO fantastic bands last night Our friends in the band, CHEAP DATE introduced us to THE FUZZ as their opening act. It was the first time that TheFuzz performed, and I have to say I was blown away! These guys rock, and they had a lock on the crowd. Look for these guys playing locally, and definitely back here at Spanky's. To all you guys in The Fuzz thank you very much for a great show,and thank you for making Spanky's your launching point.You have instant fans here!

CHEAP DATE what can I say? You guys brought us The Fuzz, and followed them up with a Hell of a show. For those who may not know, Cheap Date includes Oren Polak, who performs our early evenings on Fridays. If you know Oren, and how much fun he has and brings to us, then you can well imagine the full band Jim Shields vocals will enter your body and soul, and last night was no exception.We love you guys, and cannot wait until your next appearance here!
