Hi,

Just a quick word to say I have a song I co-wrote on the new Cascada album, called 'Hold Your Hands Up'. The first single, Evakuate The Dancefloor went straight to number 1 this week in the UK and I have my fingers crossed for the album. So dance, trance and clubland lovers go and buy this record. Our song is a little different but check it out and I hope you enjoy it.

cheers

Alistair

Watcha!

Just a quick word to say there will be a new cover up soonish, I haven't forgetten, just wasn't very happy with how the one i inteneded to put up turned out and i don't like turning out sh**e. Also check out my new 2009 tour poster, I did the artwork my self using the medium of biro. Coming soon the opening leg of the Eating Out Of Bins Tour 2009. Seriously though, thanks to all who come and listen at gigs, follow through myspace and beyond. There's been some great nights in London recently and more exicting things are to come later in the year. So until next time...

Keep watching the skies

cheers

Al

ps. I'm going to make the most ludicrous prediction ever... Boro will stay up. BELIEVE!!

Evening all,

Thank you for a great response to the first download. The next song was never intended as a download and is something of a happy accident that wasn't suggested through myspace but by a bloke at a gig.  Hadn't intended recording it but we stuck a mic up and as it sounded so nice thought we'd give you a listen. Think of this one as an off the cuff free-be, I promise the next one will be strange and interesting. So the next song will be up tommorrow

cheers

Blood and sand,

Finally....here's the song. Slight delay after a few technical difficulties in the studio (I lost the key). This will be up for a few days for download. Apologies to fans of The Killers (of which I am one) for murdering your most prized song, in a way i'm apologising to myself. How would that go...

"Sorry Al",
"that's ok Al",
"no really, I should have asked",
"well yes, you should have, your version's shit",
"hang on a minute you said",
"I know what I said, but your a tw-",
"steady on it's only a song",
"it was only a kiss..."
"yeah you're right, let's be friends",
"ok then"

Some people eh!

Yo yo yo word up,

First off, thanks for all the cover ideas. Had hundreds of suggestions which is great. Forgive me for playing a straight bat with this one but this song was comfortably suggested the most, so by popular demand... the first song will be up later.

It was suggested by the following people ...

Fran - in Cheshire

Lindsay - in Manchester

Jenni - in Northampton

The next song will be strange and interesting...

Cheers

Alistair

Hello People of Myspace, the World and Beyond,

Every couple of weeks for the next few months I’m going to go in to the studio and record a cover song alongside my original material, hopefully culminating in an interesting collection of songs. What I’d like you to do is suggest the songs, so that it’s you who dictates what goes on this collection. All suggestions are welcome, be they recent releases, classics, obscure or pure cheese, I want to hear your ideas. (Send a message)

Each month a song will be posted along with the person who suggested it (Black Lace fans beware).

Happy posting

Cheers

Alistair
