FOLLOWING IS A BIO/ONE-SHEET I WROTE FOR JAX IN 2004 THAT HE USED IN TRYING TO SECURE A MANUFACTURING AND DISTRIBUTION DEAL FOR SOME NEW PROJECTS. IT'S A "TO-THE-POINT" WRAP-UP OF HIS MUSIC CAREER AT THE TIME AND I HOPE IT GIVES EVERYONE SOME INFORMATION THAT THEY MAY NOT HAVE ABOUT THIS PROFOLIC, GIFTED, WARM AND TALENTED HUMAN BEING.

Jax, a unique rapper, producer and entrepreneur, has created an identifiable brand and catalogue of marketable music through undeniable dedication and creative energy.

A leader of the Atlanta by-way-of NYC Binkis Records conglomerate, Jax has released many well-received and steady-selling CDs and 12-inches. The Queens native has been featured on countless singles and appeared on releases with A Tribe Called Quest's Phife Dawg, underground godfather Kool G. Rap and the ever-prolfic Scienz of Life.

Jax (along with Binkis members Flux and Killa Kalm) just completed the Tough CD for London's Beyond There Records.  Jax also recently appeared on the Single Minded Pros/Kool G Rap/Pace Won 12-inch.

Binkis' Reign Begins CD appeared last year on the bustling Day By Day label. Hip-hop pioneer Bobbito Garcia released the "Bullit" and "The Marquee" 12-inches. Those releases gained tremendous airplay, sales and reviews.

His string of solo CDs started with Observe, followed by J.F.K., Sharp Images and Black Capitalism. Each release grew in quality and sales. Earlier this year, he released "The Sharpener," a compilation of already released work, to a welcoming national audience.

He caught many ears in the past two years with high profile appearances. "We Can Do This" appeared on the high-selling NBA Ballers video game. He was included on LRG clothing company's internationally distributed "Roots People" mix CD. "4 Da Cream" was the B-side to Phife's recent "comeback" single on Smokin' Needles Records. That record's success brought Jax to Japan, where he has fostered a substantial reputation. He has appeared in the widely circulated Japanese magazines Woofin and Warp.

Jax has been featured in Urb magazine, Elemental Magazine, Frank, Import Tuner, and regional publications like Creative Loafing, Insight and Southeast Performer on a regular basis.

"What I offer is energetic, fun, current music that feels a little nostalgic…but not a throwback," Jax stated. "You can hear I'm having fun. "I'm opinionated, but I'm not forcing it."

A well-rounded and talented artist, Jax has written for Complex and Frank magazines and oversees all Binkis Records business ventures, product production, distribution, video creation, etc.

Just dropping a note to remind everyone that iexist will soon be releasing Transistor Fist's sophmore full-length album, "Through Soundwaves and Solitude". We are patiently awaiting a final mix/master, as the packaging gets proofed and completed. There will be a physical Digipac CD, as well as a digital download version. The album will ship to radio and press next month, with a retail release shortly thereafter.

Be on the lookout for a revised MySpace page with new music, a brand new website and several upcoming giveaways.

Tha GoodSon and I are extremely excited about this album. It is very focused, while stretching and experimenting with theme and style. The songs are quick, abrasive and poignant.  The album also features a great collaboration with two of my favorite ATL players, Flux from Binkis and DJ Dainja (Psyche O/Reign of Terror), where we chop it up about some real serious business.

"The old parties are husks, with no real soul within either, divided on artificial lines, boss-ridden and privilege-controlled, each a jumble of incongruous elements, and neither daring to speak out wisely and fearlessly on what should be said on the vital issues of the day." -- Theodore Roosevelt - "Confession of Faith"

We are swayed into believing that America is dependent on a two-party political system and that independent parties or candidates are fanatics or self-pomoting politicos.

The current system is tremendously polarizing and corrupt. Many voters of our generation feel they have no political home and begin to rationalize political apathy, or on the flipside, violent revolution as the only means to change.

I think the contemporary voter is more "middle-of-the-road" than the parties can understand or allow. We are all generally socially and fiscally conscious, but through the system's polarization, we have to make a singular choice. With that choice, we align ourselves with the lobbyists that are controlling our representatives. This perpetuates a cycle that alienates the citizenry.

The system works, but reformation is in order. Under the Electoral College, we have a winner-take-all voting arrangement which will never allow an independent-minded president. The Commision of Presidential Debates will not even allow an independent candidate to participate in the country's sanctioned debates.

How many registered voters even make it to the polls? How many adults remain unregistered? Imagine if all citizens voted their concsience and sought out proper information to make proper decisions. Just voiting for "somebody else" equates to an actual change in our system.

We need choices. We need to find new candidates and parties that truly represent us and reflect our current society.

"Thomas Jefferson felt an election should be a minor revolution, each election a chance to create something new" - Allan Wallace

Did you know there are third-party candidates running for governor and leuitenent governor in Georgia?

Garrett Hayes - Governor candidate (Libertarian)

Allen Buckley - Lt. Governor candidate (Libertarian)

Did you even know Hayes was in the latestest political debate with Perdue and Taylor? Probaby not, since he didn't give the media a dramatized sound bite about "non-issues."

You can see the debate here to see how a third-party candidate differs from the popular-party options:

We dont usually send out political emails since our opinions don't usually agree with everyone elses but regardless of what your political affiliation, everyone needs to vote...

Unfortunaly, the constitution doesn't grant us the right to vote but we do have the freedom to vote....

So not only do we all need to vote, we need to start voting on issues and not the lesser of two evils....

Who we vote in congress and our local government is just as important as who we vote for president.

So if you're not registered to vote, here is the link for voter information on how to register in Ga:

At some point in history, our congressmen quit being scared of us. We hire these people into office and we should be able to fire these people too. An educated voter is what every politician fears most...
