Hi everyone!
Just a reminder. We will be kicking off our summer with the Salamanca Summer Concert Series on Sunday June 7 from 6 to 8 in the evening. Join us in Jefferson Park in the heart of Salamanca for music and fun. It’s FREE! Read all about it and us in this story in the Salamanca Press! Salamanca Press Story
BTW, I was slightly misquoted in this. I was discussing how acts like Makem and the Clancys all hung around with American folk acts during the 60’s and traded songs. Somehow the author translated that into “British and American folk…” So please just insert Irish in place of British when reading that part of the article!

Other upcoming shows:
June 14 we will be at The German House in Rochester at a fund-raiser for the annual Rochester Irish Festival with Everheart, The Wild Geese, and the Dady Brothers.

Two cruises on the Erie Canal this summer, on July 2 and August 6.

The Shannon Pub on July 10 and 11

Caverly’s Irish Pub on July 24.

Then festival season gets going….

See you soon!

Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! Here we go again, time to celebrate our Irish heritage regardless of where we came from. Hope you can join in all the fun at one or more of our upcoming shows.

Saturday March 14 it’s the Old First Ward parade and we’ll be back in the thick of things at the Buffalo Irish Center. This is always one of the best shows of the year. We go on stage in the Pub of the BIC at about 7 in the evening and play until who knows when. The Buffalo Irish Center is at 245 Abbott Road in South Buffalo. Small cover charge to get in, but it is worth it. You’ll be in the heart of the Irish in Buffalo.

St. Patrick’s Day? Irish? Beer? We got you covered. Sunday March 15, if you want to try something different instead of going downtown to the parade to freeze your shamrocks off, we’ll be hosting a beer tasting event at the Hamburg Fairgrounds Casino. We play from 12-4 in the Clubhouse, lots of beers - Irish and otherwise to try- and Irish food as well.

St. Paddy’s day is Tuesday and we are back at The Irishman Pub in Williamsville. Great little place with authentic Irish décor and good food and drink. We go on about 7 and play until they kick us out or until the British leave Northern Ireland, whatever happens first. No cover but if you want to sit and eat you should probably call for a reservation. The Irishman is located at 5601 Main Street in the heart of the village. http://www.irishmanpub.com/

Beannachtaí na Féile Pádraig oraibh! (St. Patrick’s Day blessing upon you!)

Well the crazy season is here!  St. Patricks's month has started and as always we'll be kicking it off with the Great Guinness Toast at the Buffalo Irish Center (www.buffaloirishcenter.com) Friday night February 20.  For $10 you get to see us plus seven other great bands playing all night long and get to participate in the Guinness Toast at 11 o'clock.  It's fundraiser for the BIC so come on out, give your support, have a couple pints and have a good time.  The BIC is located at 245 Abbott Road in South Buffalo.  See you there!  And be sure to check our webpages for our St. Pat's schedule.

Tonight's Celtic Christmas show with McCarthy School of Dance at Niagara Falls high School is canceled due to the severe weather we are having.  Better safe than sorry.  McCarthy will be trying to reschedule it in the next week and we'll do our best to still be a part of it.   We'll let everyone know as soon as we know!

Take a break from your holiday preparations and join us this Friday night (12/19) for the McCarthy School of Irish Dance Christmas show at Niagara Falls High School. A great night of entertainment is promised. Only $7 to get in, doors open at 6:00, show starts at 7, and join us and the dancers for a reception afterwards. More information here: http://www.mccarthyschoolofirishdance.com/

It's time to say goodbye to 2008 and boy are we glad! A New Year is just what we need and we'll be ushering it in a little different this year. We will be back at the Shannon Pub, but don't look for us at midnight. This year the Shannon is celebrating Irish New Year's Eve at 7:00 (12:00 GMT) the hour 2009 begins in Dublin. We play from 5 to 9. No cover but reservations are HIGHLY recommended, it is always packed for New Year's Eve at the Shannon. For more info go here: http://www.shannonpub.com/

And last we do want to thank all our fans and friends for being there for us this past year. To paraphrase the great Tommy Makem, every time our hearts were troubled, we found a smile around the bend. We want to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a joyful, peaceful, and healthy New Year!

Hi Everybody!

We're back on stage this Friday night (11/21) in the Pub of the Buffalo Irish Center!   The weather is getting cold so what better way to warm up than with a pint, some friendly faces, and some great music.  The show starts at 9:00!
http://www.buffaloirishcenter.com/

The holidays are coming and can't think of that perfect gift?  Well we've made it easy on you.   Our last CD the Maid Behind the Bar can now be ordered over the web!  Just go to
http://cdbaby.com/cd/dustmen for all your Christmas shopping needs!

Speaking of Christmas, this year we've been invited to be part of the McCarthy School of Irish Dance Christmas show on Friday December 19 at 7:00.   The show is at Niagara Falls High School and admission is $7.00. For more info read this flyer:
http://www.mccarthyschoolofirishdance.com/christmas_flyer_2008.pdf

We'll be back at the Shannon Pub on New Year's Eve, but this year it will be a little different.  Kevin and his crew at the Shannon have decided that, it being the number one Irish pub in town, it should be an Irish New Years! So instead of midnight we'll be celebrating when the new year arrives in Ireland at 7:00pm (12:00 GMT). That means we'll be playing an early show that night from 5-9 pm.  Reservations highly recommended.  http://www.shannonpub.com/

And one last bit of news: there is a new Irish music radio show in Buffalo.  Local musician Tom Callahan is now hosting Buffalo Irish Radio on Sunday mornings from 11-12 on WECK 1230 AM.  Along with great national and international acts, Tom will also be playing the local acts (including us) and keeping you up to date on what's going on in the Irish music community.  Please tune in and help support keeping Irish music on the radio in Buffalo!

See you all soon!
