War Child Canada will be releasing this retrospective album, titled War Child: 10, on December 1st, 2009, to mark the 10th anniversary of the charity’s founding in Canada. The album, which will be released by Universal Music Canada, will feature a selection of some of the extraordinary music donated to the cause over the years, as well as exclusive new recordings.

The tracks on War Child: 10 stretch from the very beginning of War Child, right through to this year’s critically acclaimed Heroes record. The album includes music from some of the world’s biggest artists, including Coldplay, Radiohead and a brand new recording from Wolfmother. War Child: 10 contains six tracks released for the first time on CD in Canada.  These include the recently recorded Patti Smith song “People Have The Power,” by Friends Of War Child – Chantal Kreviazuk, Liam Titcomb, Shiloh and Lucas Silveira of The Cliks.

   What's up, Everybody?

This is your humble narrator and drummer Viggie, here.

I just wanted to take a moment to say hello to you, and let you know how psyched I am to be a part of The Cliks.  I met Lucas and the band in 2007 on The True Colors Tour (one of the best touring experiences of my life) and have been a fan of the band ever since. Snakehouse was one of the main jams in my car that I'd blast and sing along to.  The entire band was packed with energy, talent, and were great people to hang out with.  I loved seeing them every time they came through Boston and started to hound Lucas saying,
"Hey! Next time you come through town, I wanna play "Misery" with you! Let me be at least be a  back-up singer on it!"
It was hard to contain myself.  But when Lucas wrote me and asked me to join the band, I was overjoyed.

Meeting and playing with our bassist, Tobi Parks, was the added bonus surpirse that nearly knocked me off my seat when we first played together in September!  This motherfucker rocks so hard and I could tell by the mass of hard-pumping bass lines and mass of dreads flying around when we played together that THIS was going to be an outstanding team.  We've all felt as individuals and together a strong sense of unity and purpose together and couldn't be more happy to get out there to bring it to stage for y'all.

We're going to get out to as many places as we can to see you guys,
by plane, train, bus, van, and or manically pedaled bicycle
to rock this shit.   You guys have been such a greatly supportive community and we're pscyched to spread the word about it
far and wide.

We'll keep you posted about tour dates for the spring and the new live EP we're recording.  Thanks for your love and support!  Grab a buddy who's never been to a Cliks show before and get your asses to the next show and show 'em what's up.  SEE YOU ON TOUR!!
