' Tres Weirdos' will be the name of the band's debut full-length
album which will be released by Studio II Records on the 20th of October...
The album includes some low down and dirty blues,some muddy Mississippi
Delta stuff, some Voodoo psychedelic/soul experiments and of
course... tons of fuzzy Boogie Rock 'n' Roll in the same ol' fine Texas
tradition! They will be following the legendary Texans on select dates on the East European leg of their recent tour. Then, Down & Out are playing at the prestigious GUINNESS CORK JAZZ Festival sharing the bill alongside legends such as the SAN RA ARKESTRA, AL DI MEOLA, FUN LOVIN' CRIMINALS, PETER GREEN and JACK DE JOHNETTE amongst others. To top it off, they are also booked for TORUN BLUES MEETING in Torun, Poland, one of the longest running blues festivals in Europe. More dates will be also added... Down & Out's confirmed Tour Dates:

"Two of the finest power trios in the city, Down & Out and Invisible Surfers,shook the hardboards of the club as well as any visiting, big name bozo band that swoops into town for some quick bread and leaves next day.
Down & Out took the stage and came out smoking with an hourlong set of southwestern,bourbon-stomp-blues-based rock.Dressed in early 1970s,ZZ Top-style cowboy gear,they played original material and covers that ranged from 2:4 crunches,mid-tempo rockers and space jams to bump and grind shuffles and walking bass speed rock.
Ricky, their guitarist, played a reverse-cut stratocaster and rectangular-shaped Bo Diddley model axe like an arena rock champion.His playing style ranges from Johnny Winter-esque pentatonic minor scales to CC DeVille's LA glam-blues signature noodling.Also,his slide guitar technique is similar to Aerosmith's infamous and legendary Joe Perry,who employs a cross-handed,above-the-neck,fingering method.
Bassist Virgil plays in the style of early Mott the Hoople's Overend Watts and Rick Derringer's great bassist Randy Joe Hobbs.
Tonnie,their drummer,plays steady,non-flashy,dependable but catchy traps that are rock solid but keep your ear moving constantly.Their set highlights included "New Single", "School Boy" and "Let It All Go"."
