TRIBECA You know the name, Like Jordan, Elway, Montana, or Mantle TRIBECA is the designated Franchise player of Market Men Music Group and is destined to be a legend and take his place in the cooperstown of hip-hop.
His debut album W.A.R is slatted for a near future release..but the W.A.R project is not just about the battles of making it in the streets and in the rap game, W.A.R actually stands for the initials of The Beca mans government name. Wentworth Anson Richards and in turn The Album is a deep introspective look into TRIBECA the star, the producer, the MC and the Man. TRIBECA is not just about fiery lyrics...he is first and foremost a storyteller and a song writer.....here is his story.
Raised in the Kingsbridge section of the Bronx, the birth place of hip-hop, This 26 year old Star got his start in the game not behind the mic but rather behind the boards producing for the likes of KRS-ONE, Camp Lo, DJ DOO WOP, Grand Agent, Comedian Joe Clair, Blaze battle champ KT, ESPN, Blackground Records, Priority Records & The NBA. After shopping beats to the Major League squad, Tribeca happen to slip in a joint with him spitting and the rest was history. A contract was offered on the spot.
Immediately after signing his deal with Major League, Tribeca wasted no time in building on the Major League brand and the labels dedication to the marriage of Sports & Music. He wrote the theme song to the Hit ESPN Series "The Life," underground sensation Pharoahe Monch added for an incredible hook and TRIBECA's first radio hit was born.
After being flown down to the Super Bowl to perform at the ESPN official SB party, Beca's Tour & Press schedule heated up quickly, touring the world with everyone from the Beatnuts, Tajai of Souls of Mischief, Trick Daddy, Grand Agent, Fat Joe, Camp Lo, Memphis Bleek, Def Jux, Awesome 2, Wu Tang Clan, Kid Capri and gracing the pages of XXL, SLAM, Strength & Elemental. He has rocked the stages of the famous Howard University Homecoming in his nations capital all the way to the MCM Cafe in Paris & Belgium.
This Year is the Year of the BECA Man...with his several solid 12inches under his belt and enough mixtape appearances to make DJ Clue proud, now is the perfect time for him to get his shine. And to release his debut full length. Though he has already drawn numerous comparisons to legends like Notorious B.I.G for his overwhelming persona and verbal prowess and Nas for his incredible story telling, TRIBECA defies the categorization.
