A Very Sunny Morning is an Official Selection of the Wisconsin Film Festival in Madison, WI.

It will be screening on Saturday, April 5th at 3:30pm at the Chazen Museum of Art.

From their website:

About the Wisconsin Film Festival

Founded in 1999, the Wisconsin Film Festival is the state's premier film festival, in the heart of Madison, our capital city.

This four-day annual festival takes place each spring in ten downtown Madison theaters, all within walking distance. The Festival presents new American independent and world cinema (narrative, documentary, shorts, experimental), restored classics, and the work of Wisconsin filmmakers. Over 150 films and an attendance getting close to 30,000 make this a lively event that's become a major part of our state's cultural calendar.

Richard Ostrom of The Valley Scene kindly included us in his year end "Best of..." article.

You can read the entire article here.

"At this point in the rant I am beginning to hallucinate and hear voices from staring at this godforsaken computer screen for way too long. However, before I depart, I must dedicate some space to a local short I found rather impressive. "A Very Sunny Morning" is an intriguing 12 minutes of off center meandering through a sort of public access sitcom mixed with a healthy dose of dream state dementia. The film is the creation of one Eric Carter, a Green Bay native who has seen his little baby garner all manner of attention. I caught this odd confection at this year's Wildwood Film Festival, where it managed to snag the Best of Experimental honor. Since then, Carter and his flick have nailed spots at such festivals as Toronto After Dark and the Portland Underground Film Fest, as well as slots on the Independent Film Channel and, most significantly, our very own Ned the Dead's Chiller Theater.

Next up for this busy short is partaking in the 63rd Art Annual Juried Exhibit at the Neville Public Museum in bustling Green Bay. The opening night reception will run from 6-8 p.m. on Dec. 7, or just catch it at the exhibit between Dec. 8 and Feb. 27, 2008.
