ok so for all of u who have been reading my blog (all 2 of u) ud probably know that i was going to an anime convention called ONNAfest. now if u dont like anime and ur reading this ur thinking whats so great about an anime convention its just a bunch of geeks dressing up and freaking out about a cartoon and im thinking that u should go watch some naruto and then go to one before u ever make a comment like that ever again cause this thing was the most fun thing ive ever been to.

so far at this one con i've cosplayed, did a skit with some really cool people and won second place, have had about 20 people ask me what my sword was made of, had about 10 MacDonald apple pies, crashed at a friends dorm, spent alot of time at the dealers room, then spent the night with some other cosplayers i just met an hour beforehand, played a very fun game of "duck, duck, Otaku", as well as a 3 hour game of spin the bottle (favorite part of the con) and now i have a whole bunch of friends who have made requests for swords that i cant turn down and want to do. so my time at onnafest on a scale of 1-10 is probably... a 11. this thing was so much fun and i made so many new friends that im even more psyched for the next one

Anime USA here i come!!

whoo its almost there after i mounted the foam onto to frame on friday and got the foam sanded down to the right size and grinded it so the shape of the blade was what i wanted. next step was covering the foam and wood with fiberglass, which is a serious pain in the ass, mostly because the epoxy that u need to harden it is sticky and takes forever to completely dry, but the sword came out great after it was done now i dont have any pics of it cause my dad took the camera with him on a trip. now when the fiber glass dries then comes the most time consuming part of the process but not the hardest by any means, the bondo, this stuff is used to cover gaps and fill holes in cars and boats (the stuff they always use on "Pimp My Ride" before they paint) it took me all day sunday to do the bondo for the sword (bondo, sand, bondo, sand, bondo, sand over and over again)in the end it came out almost perfect the edge turned up alittle but nothing major after the final coat of bondo which makes the sword completly smooth  is put on i started to prime the sword so i can start the painting

ok so for those of u who dont know im an "Otkau" (oh-ta-koo) this means im a huge anime fanboy. this means that i not only get to go on and on about the latest episode of naruto but i also get to do things like go to anime conventions like the one im going to in october "OnnaFest" but i also get to dress up and cosplay(dress as a anime character) now this is done by tons of people many of which are less attractive then me (and im not that hot) but the biggest thing is the fact that because i am cosplaying and because im a perfectionist i want it all to be right. Im gonna cosplay as kurosaki ichigo from the anime "bleach" and one of the things that seperates him from many other anime characters is aside from his naturally bleached hair (get it "bleach" Bleached hair and yes this means there will be pics of me as a blonde) he carries a really big sword which i will attempt( and hopefully successed) to create so thus begins the chronicals of "The Zangetsu Project"

this is the link to my shutter book that will house all of the progress pics

ok so ive decided to use a hybrid of solid wood and rigid foam insluation styles of sword making

the handle and the back bone will be made of a long strip of wood and the blade itself will be made out of rigid insulation foam so far ive only got the wooden frame backbone and the foam blade shape cut out. ill post more when its closer to completion

ok so i am a geek called one my many and fucking proud of that fact. but recently i have been growing and maturing and have thought about what im gonna do after high school. now because im the genius that i am i've managed to fuck my self over so bad with my grades that the only way that im getting into a college is with some type of talent. now my list of talents is short but unimpressive. so far i can...
1. spew complete bullshit and convice most people that i know what im talking about
2. i can come up with moderatly comical names ex. MC Wank'n'Spank
3. ... wel the rest are all related to how much of an ass i am, how much i make fun of my friend and coming up with lame dirty jokes except for 2

these 2 are actual talents that i have one is the fact that when i speak i acutally speak with emotion and try to imagine how i would be in that situation, this mostly applys to reading books and speaking in front of a crowd. now this talent is perfect for acting but because i have very bad stage fright u will never see me act on a stage or in front of a camera so this leaves voice acting which would be sick but really isnt something that i can really do right now or even in college

and thus leaves my other talent... drawing. this is something that i happens to be pretty good at and would love to do for a living, and there it is this is the only fucking way that im getting into a college but most art students will do landscapes or people or even animals but no... me im just doing fan art and praying that i will be able to get in

Current mood:disturbed
holy crap... working at the a&p really sucks. i just started, in fact i just got back from work. and let me tell u not only is standing around for 4 HOURS!!!! not fun, but the people u meet while at the check-out counter r some of the wierdest ull ever meet. i swear to god a big fat guy with a flock of seagulls hair-cut walks in at around 6:00 and checked out at 8:20 but not only was he there for more then 2 hours when he paid me he started to hit on me "you know your best looking employee ive seen here" HE WAS A 40 YEAR OLD GUY WITHA FLOCK OF SEAGULLS HAIR-CUT!!!! and for those who kno what the looks like u should be scared already

then there was the bean counter, this nice 70 year-old lady who paid her $25 bill with two 5's, seven 1's and the rest in various coins and only 4 dollars were in quarters, it took 10 minutes just to sort each coin out

then the akwardness of running into a teacher at ur job. For those of u who go to Byram Hills u probably know or have seen Ms. Lewis, cause i have and just alittle over an hour ago too.

now im not gonna bore anyone with the lame facts of working the cash register but the short of it is when ur checking out at local grocery store and r waiting for the clerk to finsh ringing u up, well congrats u r offically having a much better time then the person doing it
