It's here, it's here! The SI University has arrived on the island! If you've started seeing the buildings pop up, it's because the campus is officially being built in world!
We've got 2 buildings: The Admissions Office, and the ginormous Stagecoach Island University right smack in the center. It's surrounded by an awesome campus for all our new students to hang out and chill with fellow islanders.
And I haven't even mentioned the inside of the University...it's amazing! There are rows and rows of countless books, a great fireplace, 2 classrooms, a resource room, and an exam room — the whole thing sports a sort of a bit of a Hogwarts feel. In the center of the SI University, you'll find the pedestal that houses the new tier of platinum jobs. The only way to unlock them is to go through and pass all the university exams. Want to take your virtual island education to the next level? Then come on in and get started!
Got questions? Have no fear! We have a Help Center ready for all you islanders who are curious about how to navigate through the university. I'll be in and around too, so shoot me a tele if you're wondering about something!
Just remember, you have to take the Admissions portion of the virtual University in order to get enrolled! If you don't, the SI University doors will be locked for ya!

With the holidays just around the corner, we're seeing some pretty sweet homes pop up, filled with candy canes and pine trees — just take a look at the featured holiday house below! This one is filled with holiday goodness from the warm and cozy fireplace, to the Christmas lights all surrounding the house with their bright glow!
If you haven't checked it out yet, definitely go by and take a peek. You can almost smell the gingerbread and spices when you go in! Oh, not to mention it's built in our beautiful snowy neighborhood, making the home all the toastier!
My favorite is actually the "bay window seat" (the comfy bench with the hot chocolate and books you can snuggle up with)! It's just a perfect little spot! I mean, it's right next to the crackling fireplace, and you can even see out to the snowy mountains of the island — all while sipping on yummy cocoa! Mmm....
Know of or spotted a pretty awesome holiday house lately? Want to share with all the islanders? Then post the coordinates here, and we'll go out, take a peek, snap some pics, and share with the community!

I know...I've been butchering my rhymes a bit lately, and I can't seem to top the ones that came in last time from all of you islanders! So I want to open up the island floor for you all to bust a rhyme about anything (or any islander) — but it has to relate to financial stuff, like credit! Why? Well, it just so happens that today we're celebrating a very important day called Get Smart About Credit Day! Now it may not sound exciting, but believe me, it's a pretty important topic these days. If you haven't taken a peek into the news lately, it's been a little crazy out there. With everything in the economy heading south, it seems like a good time to mention it here and note the importance of learning about credit — before you bite off more than you can chew! (Like I sometimes do, which is bad, bad, and bad! Ugh.) If you want to learn more, hit up our Student LoanDown blog page and read Dinna's post about Get Smart About Credit Day! Other than that, I'm challenging all of you to bust your rhymes here, and let's see who has the one sick rhyme that'll beat everyone else's! Here's mine: I like to party hard, without the plastic card. What do you think? P.S. RandyLH: you still owe me a rhyme that's supposed to TOP everyone's on the island. Don't think I've forgotten. We're all still waiting for that little snippet to show up...*cough* *cough*!

As the Mission Impossible theme music plays in the background — let me let you in on a little secret...
*beckons islander to come closer*
Black Bart is behind the mystery that lurks the island. Who is he you ask? He's not just any bandit, but the infamous robber that looted lots of stagecoaches back in the 1800s. His trademark? The little notes he left behind to taunt the detectives who were searching for him.
Your mission: Recover the lost treasure by following the string of clues. They won't be easy to find, but you islanders are all brilliant! The fate of the treasure rests in your hands now. Don't let the other treasure hunters beat you to it!
Hurry up! The clock's ticking!

I know, I know...I've been MIA a bit on the island, but that's because I've been working on something super spectacular and supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! (Try to say that ten times fast!)
That's right! We have a surprise for you right around the corner! Want to know what it is?
*drum roll*
Oh, come on now, you didn't think it would be as easy as me just telling you right? How about this: why don't you guys guess what it could be? Here are some clues:
-
It's a mystery
-
You can do it with friends
-
There's a BIG prize
-
You'll be able to unlock a secret chamber
Hmm...now I don't know about you, but I think those are some pretty big clues.
What do you think it is? Post your guesses here, and I'll tell you if you're getting warmer!

Hope everyone had an awesome long weekend and some fun in the sun! It's been pretty hot lately, so hopefully you all have been able to stay cool on the island too. If you haven't heard, there's been some buzz about a mysterious church with hidden teleports to "the ends of the earth." And simgirl111, upon discovering the old church on Isla Del Sol, set out with me on an itty bitty expedition to explore it with my fellow islanders.
I don't want to give anything away, but here's the hint that simgirl111 gave me: "Leave no stone unturned!" The pics below can also give you some clues, good luck! What did you find? Post it here, and see what other islanders found as well! P.S. Taxes are due (I got that little icon thingy on my screen the other day) so hurry to the SIRS building to take care of 'em soon!

Adeline has this futuristic tennis court where you can party, hang out on the roof AND watch the tennis games below. It's really awesome…see for yourself!

There are two gals in a heated competition. Who is going to walk out the winner? Or will they never stop playing? The mystery remains… So get out your tennis racquet, and let's get a game on!

So I've finally decided on a date to run the newbie tours! And seriously, if anyone wants to be tour guide (don't all jump up at once!) let me know. In the meantime, I'll be guiding our little island adventures till some awesome possum — not literally — decides to take over.
I'm planning to lead tours on the last Thursday of every month at 1pm PT (4pm ET) — everyone is welcome to join! I know, once a month seems a little iffy, but if they get really popular and oodles of people want to join (yes, I said oodles) then we can revamp the tours and make more of them!
*waves her tour guide flag*

So here it is again:
Day: The last Thursday of every month Time: 1pm PT (4pm ET) Location: Welcome Center (it's where you drop in world)

It's the hippity hoppity time of year, and Nephewpez is throwing a fab Easter party at his house at coordinates 8N 75W. It's also a housewarming &mdash so don't forget to arrive on time at 1:00pm Central Time!
Also, I've heard about these strange and bizarre bots that have been stalking the city center! Islanders have been saying that when they click on them, the bots go *poof* and get teleported...but to where? Who knows?
Have you encountered one of these bots? If you have, post where so we can track 'em down! I've clicked a bunch of them but nothing happened, maybe you guys will have some Easter Bunny luck and find one!
The teleport bot hunting begins!
