I forgot how good the avacados and sushi are out here in the west and I have been loving the weather of course with no skeeters. Deep inside my heart knows it will go back home to TN so there isn't any confusion or inner conflict of where my home is, which is great to have that peace.
Jason Reeves and I have been writing lots of songs together and traveling a little to keep the environment fresh. We landed out here and were asked to open a secret show for john Mayer at the troubador. It was our second show with all new song so it felt a little like being thrown in a real hot fire. We made it out alive and we are gonna do it again on august 18th 10pm at the hotel cafe. I haven't played in L A for a while and I'm very excited to see old and new faces and hopefully make them smile. See you there.

Dear Long Lost Pals, Im sorry for the spotty communication in the blog department. I guess without internet at my house i have been real spacin a lot more. Real spacing has nothing to do with bandwidth or boot up and I have found that Im a little better at it.ha. I have my new song "Careless Believer" coming out on a Tv show called "Men In Trees"(May 28). Check your snazzy local listings for the time. Be sure to watch it for me because we don't have a tv at our pad. Thats why I can't really recommend the show or tell you what its about. My Grandma said it was a little too sexy for her, so be advised. In the next few weeks im going to be posting "The Adventures of Michael Harper Superstar" He is my neighbor and one of the craziest looking and funniest people i have ever met. I really want him to be famous because he is a legend in my world and will be one in your world too. love , j

I was running last night through an alley to get to a show because i had to park a little far away. In the dimly lit alley I heard barking but couldn't find where it was coming from. I was already a little spooked being in an alley by myself and as i made it passed this beat up truck to my left. I start to see in the corner of my eye a dog barking and snarling and running right for me. There was no fence just me and ole Sparky the killin dog. It was all happening so fast it was like he already had my arm in his mouth. I felt my heart racing and my voice go silent, all there was left to do was to watch the slow motion nightmare begin. Then all of a sudden just like the cartoons a chain appeared and snapped little "Sparky" backward to the stake in the ground that he was tied to. Take it from a goof who has to learn the hard way sometimes, short cuts aren't always the best way. My new room mate GRIFFIN HOUSE just left for tour and I hope you can go see his shows. At every show I have seen him play, Griffin slays the women with love songs or at least make them weak in the knees and the dudes just want to be him. He is a bad mother! I was a fan long before I was his room mate and its just crazy now to share a commode with one of my influences. I'm Honored.

Im resting my eyes and my bottom from the longest car ride I've ever driven. The last couple days I have been driving from Arizona to Nashville. My first stop was Albuquerque the land of enchantment then onto Oklahoma city the land of not so enchantment and now here I am are in Memphis. All i can say about this journey is that I have so much respect for truckers. Those men and women bring a whole new meaning to BUNS of STEEL. Im gonna be the newbie in Nashville and it all starts tomorrow. Speaking of new, I put up a new song for you to hear in this new year and I hope you enjoy. I wrote it with the crazy good Charlie sexton and Tonio K. Also, tomorrow 1/13 my song "When She Goes" will be on a Lifetime movie called "QUEEN SIZED". I hope you can watch it for me because my tv wont really be set up yet. Be Blessed, Be Well, and Happy New YEar.j

It feels so good to be Alive!! Doesn't it feel omazing? I just returned to Az from a whirlwind weekend on the leftcoast. I've only been away from Cali for about 2 ½ months and Im already getting lost and honked at like a tourista. Billy (My Secret Weapon) and I played at an omazing private event at Mollys and then at the 3hour tour yatch extravaganza. We then finished it up the weekend by playing a full set at Room 5. The 5 is a sweet little spot with one of the meanest bartenders in town but the cats are sure nice. The boat felt like a reunion/mini festival and we all had an omazing time. I did feel a little bad for the clean up crew who had to pick up all the empty candy cigarette boxes and I probably should apologize for the damaged I might have caused by using the lavatory that night.ha. Thank you to all of you who attend these events, all your claps, foot tapping and head nods are greatly appreciated. Watch this guy take it home on OMAZING GRACE. Peace, Jordan

Good Evening, I'm writing tonight from the Extended Stay in Columbus, Ohio. I just finished a bubble bath and now Im preparing to slumber. I like taking baths because it makes me feel like a cowboy and i can feel the stress leave my body and when im done watch it go swirlin down the drain. With all this coverage of O.J and Britney I recommend a good bath and watching all the discovery channel you can. Today Billy and I visted the Niagara falls just outside of Buffalo, NY. Niagara was beyond anything i have ever seen before, it felt like i was in a dream. The mist and roar coming out of the falls gave me the chills and to be standing on the edge of something so powerful and almost supernatural made me not want to be anywhere else in the entire world. I really recommend it! Another thing i thought was so cool about the falls was that something so beautiful really brings the world together and has a way of blurring all sorts of cultural lines. There were Amish people, Muslims, blacks, whites, rich, poor, all standing in awe. It didn't matter where anyone came from or who they worshiped or what kind of job they had, we all just stood there in peace and just let the mist fall on our faces. It was really great to have this experience come along because the last few days on the tour were a little ruff. I washed my cell phone in washer and our car got towed. We got the car back but the celly didnt make it. I also have been fighting major allergies. You should have seen the sneezing attack i had in the post office, i just feel bad for the poor lady in front of me! She was really sweet and blessed me alot. My eye lids are too heavy. This guy made me laugh yesterday goodnight,j

TOUR BLOG 3 (Some Mark Twain and Some Highlights) Its been a week or more since i wrote last and it really goes by so fast. Since i wrote my last blog in the airport in Lubbock, Tx. I have been to Minnesota, Wisconsin, Chicago, Connecticut, New York and now Maryland. I consider it such a privilege to have this opportunity to see America and the more i see the more history of our country i want to know. Mark Twain says it better that i can "Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness." Here are a few highlights from each place. Minnesota Playing at Thistles!!, Stuffing myself like Tempelton the rat (charlottes web) at the MN state fair, Meeting Big Bill and Sandy (Billys parents) and drinkin a cold one on Big Lake. All this minus the skeeters! The mosquitos are the state bird of Minnesota. Wisconsin The heavenly beds at the hotel. The rest is too awkward and you will have to ask me in person. Chicago The windy part of the windy city. Sitting in Lincoln park and watching a storm come rolling over the city. Playing a really really fun show at Depaul, that place is huge. Going to the free zoo at lincoln park FREE!! I love me some chi-town Connecticut SEEING GREG BROWN PLAY!! My new favorite folk singer. www.gregbrown.org. It was a perfect show accompanied only by the moonlight and an orchestra of crickets . Playing at Yale University for some of smarties and old farties. It was sweet! New York We loved playing at the Canal Room and watching the lovely JES HUDAK perform, that place has such an amazing sound and vibe. The show at the CR made my anxiety of being in that crazy city go away for a few hours. Meeting the beautiful generous photographer Deborah Lopez and Getting out of that NYC as fast as I could (18 hour trip) its too crazy for me. Thank you for your support and help in making this tour so great. Peace, Jordan PS. Tomorrow is the anniversary of September 11 and I think as those images flood our minds and memories we should remind ourselves to love and give like we did on that day.
