sorry for a long period of abscence, ive been recording and contemplating.

With the "split up" of Drunk and Gone (for reasons that will not be aired) I had to do something musically that gave me the same laughs and music satisfaction that both johnny and i had acheived over the 8 or nine months we were jamming for. So i bought myself a Boss Micro br proffessional portable recording studio and began writing and rewriting songs,  also jamming and writing new material with some other freinds on upcoming projects life is very much on the up.

I have just finished mastering my latest song which is a cover of lay lady lay by bob dylan, it is now called down westbay and is a song of local life and how (to a degree) the holiday season really effects us all. it is meant in total gest with a hint of realism.  please expect imminant release (later tonight)

also coming up is a song called black fairies,  dark shit from the clown within.

AND THEN, chicken land, this song is really gonna make you piss your pants with laughter.

all the previous songs mentioned in my last blogs are continuing works of progress.

and they were right.
for the time being to make way for some accoustic and not so accoustic sounds, i have removed all of my electronically made music and place some of the songs that I wrote and sang/wailed on. Again my good mate Johnny Gogone plays guitar on all songs noted to him in the lyrics section... i can not express how much i am indebted to Gogone for his participation in these songs...mucho gusto!
 
on the horizon be more pirate music, some weird rock/metal and hopefully a video entry.
please try to enjoy the music with the same intent that it was written in.

keep an eye out for a few new songs and some reproduction of my old song, The Reggae cider shantay great...Cider Shed...due to the kind help of Johnny Gogone, i have rerecorded and remastered the vocals.

Also, we have some rapgrass called 'mmmmmm'. it is a freestyle dorset rap with a blues grass style guitar...should be funny, well it made me laugh.

also coming up is an interview with myself (so maybe you all can gain an understanding of what makes the Drunkun Jedi tick.

and lastly for around xmas time i should have my first eep available.

Drunkun music

Hi everyone, there is lots of stuff going on at the moment and to be honest with you all musically i am finding it hard to stylize what im working on (as you may tell in 'cider shed' ). Any way, coming real soon is a dub/drums and wires version of cider shed, featuring a very good friend of the drunkun one...none other than OP1, yep i have managed to drag the master of all that is twisted away from his frantic punk rock bass playing for some more mellow tunes from the house on the hill.

 

also coming soon is another inspired tune which is a cover of auld triangle (the pogues did this song on a red rose for me, but it is a traditional song.) anyhoo, it tells the story of the great apple shortage of walditch village,way back in 1754. listen to the song when it is up as there might be a small narration before it starts.

The shinkick privateers

Me and the 'drunkun missus' went to brizzle tuther day to see our good mates WHO'S AFEARD. they were playing in the seven stars with half of the surfin turnips who form a fucking brillant shantay style duo called the shinkick privateers. Tell 'e what mind...they guys are well worth listening to any time you are fortunate to be presented a' oppotunity. i cant wait until they post up some more songs. Cheers to Kev and his lady for providing us with a bail of hay and a old hessian sack to sleep under, you lot are true stars!

 

Other stuff

The baghdaddies are playing at the bridport art center on the 7th of march, bloody brillant music, should be a good night, check them on myspace.

 

its my birthday on friday and im working!!! for the first time in my working life i havent booked the day off! tosser.

Greetings freinds of the drunkun one, As you may have noticed there are two new songs on my profile...

The first is done in a true Drunkun Jedi style and is called "Z", it has all the unusual eliments that makes the musical path that i travel on more...interesting. But...inbetween that Drunkun style, is the clown that is under my skin, check it out.

 

Then there is Cider Shed, now there is something you all need to understand, this is the first time ever my voice has ever been heard on any music that i have made...ever! What the fuck enspired me to produce such a unique cover song, obviously this is a song from Winston Rodney, but is in now way a mockery of the great man...My friends who's Afear'd (I'd check their myspace page if you  havent already) have inspired me with their lyrical Dorset Genius and the fresh sound that they all present to their listeners. and so, cider shed was born.

what can you all expect soon well as did Burning Spear, there will be anothwer version of Cider Shed, complete with a beat and some of them there musical instrument things...ladies and gentlefolk, beware...coz ere comes "And say Nuh cider shed(dub)"

Hi all,

what the fuck is up with my newest song? i cant seem to get it to play at the normal speed, yet if you download it it plays just fine mfcls.

 

I think im getting a bit better with reason now, i managed to sus out how to change notes and transfer them to the sequence track...as you all can see i have made a third song called walking why is it called walking you may ask? because when making it, it reminded me of walking...sorry.

anyhoo, i have three more songs in the making, one called Drunkun Dub and the tuther called funkijedi and the final one called Expoilts (spelt exploits wrong and then kinda liked the sound...expoilts).
