When closing your eyes you can picture the world... you're lucky. You're living.
Be humane, my friends. Be human. Believe that we can change the things, for we can.
Believe in Peace & Poetry... believe in Music. Look at the Moon and think oh what a beautiful face. Don't pull the trigger. Never. Don't touch the dagger. Never. Don't load up your guns. Don't even buy a gun, you don't need it.

My heart fills with joy as I think of what we can do... We are not alone, we are not wandering in vain. Peace is the answer. Peace and Peace only. Do you believe in Peace? Say quick that you believe. If you believe, clap your hands!

TEHRAN (IAF) – The First Peace Poetry Festival was held with presence of poets, masters and those who are interested in poetry, in Nassri Hall of the Iranian Artists' Forum (IAF), on May 16.

According to the news website of IAF, the program was started by some poetries by Simin Behbahani about war in Palestine and then the juries were introduced; Javad Mojabi, Shams Langroudi, Ahmad Pouri and Eqbal Mo'tazedi.
The secretary of the festival was Rira Abbasi. She talked about the goals of holding the festival and read a modern poetry. She said, "I believe that in a country that every one is watching, every one is guilty, we should look for peace.
Hessam Sabzian, Sajad Rasoul, Meysam Setayesh and Soroush Khazaei performed a piece of music.
Javad Mojabi pointed out the status of peace in the face of power and violence and read poetry by Hafez. He said, "To overcome the power is common between human being and animals. It has always made quarrel between the people, but peace is not always in access, the media is the world full of violent news. From the very childhood, the children are the future violent soldiers. We should facilitate the background of peace and peaceful identity. The politicians talk about peace verbally, but they support the war practically. The literal figures talk about peace for their dependence on spirituality. Art and poetry are the languages of peace."
Eqbal Mo'tazedi read the statement. Shams Langroudi talked about peace and said, "We had a lot of troubles, when we wanted to analyze the received poetries; because most of them were about war. We selected 7 poets." He also read some of his poetries about peace.
Afghan poet said, "We die that the photographer of Time daily wins a prize."
The winners of the First Peace Poetry Festival were; Arash Nosratollahi, Babak Bahari, Abdolazim Fenjan (Afghanistan), Vaheh Armen, Olivia Agostini (Italy), Rasoul Younan, Peter Jones (England). They read their poetries for the audience.

LA CHANSON DE LA PAIX
by Olivia Agostini

I chose the title "La chanson de la Paix" for my first short film to wink at the Medieval tradition of allegorical writing, and in particular, to the "Roman de la Rose". I liked the idea of expressing a message through symbols, of talking about politics using a totally unpolitical language, of merely telling a story.
The plot is very simple, indeed. The main character, a young man called Eugenio, lives in a shoe-shaped country ruled by a rich man - better known as "The Knight" -, who owns a seven-floor palace. Eugenio is an ordinary man, not particularly smart, but hopeful and innocent, and that is why, one fine day, he wakes up and decides he has to enter the Palace. He must try and release the Dove that the Knight himself has imprisoned in a cage on the rooftop, long ago. The Dove represents Peace, of course. And Peace… Peace is Peace. And we all need Peace, now and always.

It took me nearly two weeks to shoot and edit "La Chanson de la Paix". It was a real challenge, since my parents (yeah, I can't afford a rent, at this moment, so I'm still living with them) are both writers, and that means they are basically stuck at home all the time.
I'm convinced that if you have something to say, you will say it in any way, with every possible means. And you will find somebody ready to listen to you and support you.
So, I'm really grateful to the opportunity the Festival de Cine Internacional de Barcelona has given me. And I'm very happy that they granted a Special Mention to my film.
It's funny, but for some strange reasons, it seems that many milestones of my life are linked to the city of Barcelona.

Peace, as you might have noticed, is one of my favourite topics. I feel we need to repeat this word as much we can, or we will forget even the concept which lies behind it.
So, here's just another lil' contribute of mine to this discussion :)

The Sound and the Fury. My Bible. Faulkner's best novel. At least, I consider it to be his greatest work. Feel free to disagree with me. Opinions must be personal, otherwise they are just words without shadow.

I was fourteen when I opened it for the first time. Do you know which is the saddest odour of all? Honeysuckle.
If you are interested in literature and want to listen to the songs I've dedicated to the most splendid failure, well, go to this dusty corner of my personal site... JEFFERSON
You're welcome, dear wanderers! I hope I won't let you down... But if I will, don't blame Faulkner for this.

Have a nice journey!

Hi everybody,
Don't forget to have a look at the video section...

Sorry, this is all I have to say.
I don't like that much to express my inner thoughts.
Thanks
