It's been a while since I've worked at this myspace thing...but in celebration of BOW's return, I've uploaded three more songs from the i.machine album and removed some of the old stand-bys. Let me know what you think...hope you dig.

Bears of Winter received a stellar review from the folks at the Smith's Occasional Blog. You can check it out here on their site.
Defintely drop them a few comments to let the Smiths know that the review is much appreciated, and be sure to pick up your own copy of i.machine if you dig what they're saying about it.
Andrew
P.S. Be sure to also check out the Smith's upcoming podcast which will feature "Sca(r)red but Free" from Bears of Winter's i.machine.

Hello Blog Afficianados! I just wanted to let all our friends know that I.MACHINE is now available on iTunes. You should buy it because your friends will think you're hip. Of course you can also purchase the album digitally from Amazon and CDBaby. Or you can get your own hardcopy of the CD direct from BOW and CDBaby. It all boils down to the fact that you have options. Now all you need to do is choose one, wisely. Have a great weekend...and we hope that you'll continue to listen to (and buy) our records. Andrew

Bears of Winter's second album, i.machine, was released today after a little over a year spent crafting and perfecting the music within it. I am very proud of this 10 song piece of work and consider it a solid step in the right direction for Bears of Winter music. As of today, 3/17/09, you can purchase a copy directly from us by going here: Bears of Winter Storei.machine will also be available soon on iTunes and Amazon, etc...but don't wait until then... grab a hard copy while you can! It feels better to listen to a real CD anyway... Thanks for all your support as I created this over the past year...enjoy i.machine! Andrew

In these times of economic strife, it would behoove our population to turn to a voice of reason on matters of individual value and worth. If you haven't read it before, I'd recommend picking up a copy of Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged. And even if you have read it, you may want to read it again...I know I'm going to.
Some of the events in Atlas Shrugged are not unlike what's happening today in America. Rand paints a picture of hard times exaggerated by the increased influence of a government that doesn't know when to stop meddling. Her message is simple: the value of the individual is directly correlated to his or her actions as added value to a society. When that value is misconstrued by regulation, which is often asked for by the people who are unable to fairly earn their keep, a breakdown in society results. The oath remains: "I will never live for the sake of another man, nor ask another man to live for mine."
I suggest that all read this great novel, that is so relative to our times.
