Current mood:  hopeful
Buying local helps the economy! Less gas is used to pollute the air, you are helping out your community and ultimately helping your local economy. I'm going to list the stores that I sell in and I encourage you to take the handmade pledge this holiday season. I mean, okay, it's a bit of shameless self promotion, but I really do encourage you to visit your local boutiques and buy all handmade this holiday season, even if it's made by you! Try to buy things or make things from scratch, scraps, upcycled and recycled. It's very important. Also, a great meaningful gift is a donation to a wonderful organization in someone's name! Everyone has their niche when it comes to that, I've been trying to help the honeybees lately. Part of the profit from my patchwork pillows is donated to pollinator.org and if you have any suggestions of local charities please feel free to share!

Here is a list of local and not so local but handmade boutiques that I sell my things in.. please visit them this holiday season as small businesses strive to stay afloat in the tough times we're all having.

I Took The Handmade Pledge! BuyHandmade.org
