I wish to take a moment during this Christmas holiday to thank all the people who have helped transform The Black Hole into the club it is today. Because of time constraints, I cannot name all of those who have been so helpful and supportive. But before I go on I must first thank the many customers who have supported the Hole from the beginning. People like Christina, Sabrina, Wolfie, Jess, Kristen, Jen, John, Kippie, Jaice, Konvikt and on and on and on. It is impossible to begin this blog without first thanking my friend, consultant, promoter, confidant and supporter Joe for doing such a great job in the many aspects of the club in which he has been involved. Joe has been so instrumental in creating a vibe at The Hole, and without him we would not have been able to do the things we have accomplished so far. I thank him for the passion he has had as we made The Hole into one of the places to go to enjoy EDM the way it was meant to be experienced. We have come such a long way from the days Joe and I were electricuting ourselves while we were renovating the club. I miss the days that we spent working closely together as we began to rebuild the club. The vision that we both shared in those early days is now becoming realized. Who would have thought such was possible considering that we are just a dumb Greek and Italian. I also wish to thank Ruben and John for all their hard work and support. They have organized and promoted so many successful events at the club and were two of the people who have helped make EDM a successful genre at the Hole. I must admit that, upon reflection, Ruben's persistence, which was once considered overboard, has turnout to be one of the factors that have helped The Black Hole grow into the club it has become. On the other hand, John, who has worked so hard this past year, has quietly become a force to deal with in the scene. He has always let his actions speak for themselves and by doing so has been influential in helping others see that actions are so much more important than words and that hard work does pay off. Unquestionable, our hip hop genre would not be as successful as it has become without Celsius. I remember seeing him perform at the club during his first ever live performance. His stage presence was so powerful that I invited him back. Since that time he has become a member of the family and is responsible for managing and organizing many of the hip hop shows that are held at the club. From the very first show, he has attended almost every hip hop event held at the club, even those ones that just sucked. I thank him very much and have enjoyed working with him during this past year. As for Rock and Roll undeniably, Jimmy is the man. A premier Lighting engineer, who has been in the business for over 20 years, he is responsible for bringing some of the bigger acts to the club and has been instrumental in transforming the club to a true music venue. While he has done so much for our rock genre, his efforts in all genre's has been stellar. He truly has helped The Black Hole become a legitimate member of the live entertainment business and I am grateful to have had his counsel, experience, and expertise to rely on during this past year. Thanks goes out to our many employees, past and present who are the ones that do the work necessary to permit us to host the shows and events we have had. In particular I want to thank Charles for the many years he worked with us as the sound engineer and the person responsible for the major renovations that have been made at the club. I very much miss working with him and hope that he continues to enjoy success in his many pursuits. Finally, a special thanks goes out to Kristen, who probably played the most important role in creating the environment necessary to develop a professional staff that is able to handle some very complicated and sometimes overwelming events. To those of you specifically named and those who were not named, but were just as vital to the club's growth, Thank you and Merry Christmas.
