Ok, so here's the really short version. Me,Jakki da MotaMouth,Tage Future,Camu Tao(RIP) & RJD2 started this group called MHz(Megahertz). We put this cd out back in '99 or 2000 through a very small indie called NCS records out of California (shout to Bobby Naugle, Sam & FTK). June 16th this classic, hard to find disc (I recently saw this on Amazon for $65.00)is seeing a re-release courtesy of Man Bites Dog Records & the good folks in MHz (yes, we're still very much crew). We begin recording for the new MHz album, entitled "Tero Smith" in the name of our brother who is no longer with us, in a few weeks. The NEW MHz album will drop early 2010 & yes, all four remaining members(myself,Jakki,Tage & RJD2) are all making contributions to the album and a portion of the proceeds are going to Tero's family. There are solo songs on "Tablescraps" from all five members and production is handled by myself,Camu & RJD2. Cuts are all handled by RJ. The album will be re-released in Best Buy & a retailer near you on June 16th. I hope you all enjoy the memories that we captured on this disc as well as the music. REST IN POWER TERO SMITH.

He's dead....sort of. The selfishness has died, the weed habit is gone, the alcohol is gone. I even said "FUCK YOU!" to the pills, HOWEVER, the horrible grammar rules when typing blogs, messages, ETC still exists. :)(don't grade this, Mullen!) So it's been over a month since I smoked. I feel like the old Pete. Yeah, the one that I love. Not the lazy, lathargic, clowdy headed, forgetful, bullshitting watered down version of me. Everything feels brand new again. My lungs feel new, my mind feels new, my voice feels new and thoughts are crystal clear. Now, most of you who know me are aware that I quit smoking for a year maybe a year ago, well guess what...though I may have NOT been smoking, but I traded the weed vice for pills and liquor and I can't lie, Dom & I had some ridiculously ignorantly fun adventures during that period. Haha. Dom, Remember the night at club "Anatomy"?(The kickdrums & Joey do, I'm sure). Good times...for the time being.BUT, I am on my Andre 3k shit right now, you know; "I hadn't smoked or took a shot of drank, 'caus i started the second album off on another note, now/ THAT note threw some people in the hood off/but see I balled out & fore I falled I'd/ slow my "Lac(heh) down to a nice speed/that brain was the fried egg I MIGHT need/new direction was apparent". I'm a hard-headed, stubborn Gemini. Child-like in many ways. It only took me to fuck up 10,000 times before I got it right, but guess what...., I'VE GOT IT RIGHT! With all that said, I'm working on the new album on Man Bites Dog Records, "The life & Times of Peter Nelson". I'm working with RJD2 again on a few songs, Illmind, Marco Polo, Kount Fifth,The Kickdrums, J-Zone, DJ Rhettmatic,Jay Notes & Camu Tao (I'm still very much fucked up about my brother's passing). I'm even doing a few beats on it and I'm really picky when it comes to me rapping over my own beats, which is why I only did 3 on The High Exhaulted so whatever I do on my next album is gonna be amazing. Since I quit alcohol, drugs, etc my new addiction is the gym and studio. It's amazing. Anyway I'm baffled people are into blogs. Who care's what the next man thinks right? That's how I always thought, but I guess I am interested in how someone who's work I appreciate views the world, life, etc. so here it is. Before The Life & Times of Peter Nelson drops in mid 2009, I'm dropping my mixtape, "The Death of Copywrite". I'm not completely abandoning my old style by ANY stretch of the imagination BUT I definitly will NOT be making another "T.H.E." . HOW FUCKING LAME WOULD THAT BE? Plus, I've grown so much since then musically & individually & anyone who has kept up with Cruise Control vol.1& The Jerk vol.0 & random songs here & there know this. I'm excited for my new music to be heard. It's murdering my old shit. Sean P is on the new album, Louis Logic, Jakki, Tage Future, King.Dom, Meta4ce, Catalyst (ODOT, BASICALLY) a rock band named Middle Distance Runner (GOOGLE THEM!!!! THEY'RE SOO SICK) HELL, Copywrite might even show up for 2-3 songs, but this is Peter's album. This time it's personal. All the questions are being answered; The Roc-a-fella shit, the just blaze shit, the weathermen shit, my great grandpa, Skip Nelson aka Cipriati Maribella. (Dude had to change the italian name so his label (RCA)& fans wouldn't discriminate....check him on youtube, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFV8n4WOZjo ),Camu Tao incident. Anything that occurred in the past 6 years will be brought to light. Anyways, it's about that time to write this 16. Until next time..,BOATS -N- HOES TO ALL & TO ALL, A GOODNIGHT!

Myself. I've came to the profound realization that alcohol & myself do NOT mix. Anyone that has had the chance to be around me, while "blacked out" knows this. It's caused a lot of bullshit for me so as of the past few weeks I've steered clear of it. I plan to stay away from it. My deepest apologies also go out to anyone who I offended or was an asshole to while intoxicated. It would be one thing if I were conscious while acting that way to them, but in most of the cases, I have little to zero recollection of events if I'm drunk enough to act like a hell spawn. This shit has been on my mind for a few weeks and I thank God for the (slightly) unfortunate incident that played as the "straw that broke the camel's back". I want to thank HIM & apologize to Kansas City & any other city (btw, it's BAD when you have to apologize to a CITY) that I may have acted a fool in. Anybody who truly knows me, knows that the person who shows up while I'm super drunk is NOT Pete. I am dead serious about this and have been in clubs, bars etc & have been successful at resisting wack ass liquor. I felt the need to let the fans & supporters know & hope that I'm not viewed any different for being human. We all make mistakes. Focus on my music and my lyrics and not so much on my mistakes. I have lost too many friends in the past 3 years ALONE & I don't want to be removed from Earth just yet. Ok. That's off my chest. Time to go back to working on the new album.

THIS IS FUCKED UP. Another friend lost. Tero Alexander Smith, aka Camu Tao was fighting lung cancer for about 2 years. I met Tero in my 1st freshman year at walnut ridge high school. we both were rumored to be the illest drawers in the school. this was b4 i started lettin cats know i rapped and b4 he had even started. we both had the same art class, so bam we battled it out and us and the crowd realized we both were ill as fuck, but had our own styles. we ended up bondin thru that and started hangin out regularly. My fellow Gemeni. one day we were skippin school and i decided we shld walk 2 my dude jakki's house. jakki's crazy ass throws a rocks at camu b4 knowin him...ijust laughed cus thats how jakki is and always has been (crazy. ask about him) anyways, we all ended up doin our thing in this game and being the first group out of cols with a hiphop record(its documented, peep vibe's  history of hiphop book). we came in this game 2gether and paved the way for underground music being hed globally from Ohio. Me and Camu had our differences but once u call someone elses mom, your own mom, and are like brothers, any arguements or fights u get in with that person feel like sibling rivalry. Tero was good dude. had a great heart and anyone who met him will tell you the same. we all have our flaws and not one of us is perfect. I spoke with Camu on many occasions after our situation and it was all love. The first time we bumped into each other after our  dumb situation was at Devero's at northern lights. I was with keenan (ttc) and he pulled up in an suv. We dapped each other up and he told me he had heard that Tage and I were gonna see him him in Grant hospital (the first time we had heard he was in the hospital). We exchanged numbers. Then the VERY NEXT DAY, I BULLSHIT YOU NOT, I RAN into him at Krogers on main st in reynoldsburg. I was with my mom and he was with his 2 sisters. we chopped it up again and he sd it was meant for us 2 be cool. those where his words. I bumped into him again at the PRZM reunion, but we spoke only briefly. The  last time I saw him was about 3 weeks ago at the groove shack reunion at the hi 5. im thankful for that moment in time.He definitly was one of my best & closest friends. It wasn't a friendship based on music, it was MUSIC based on FRIENDSHIP. Him, Jakki,Les,  Terrell & a few others i grew up with and consider brothers.  my deep condolences go out to mr. and mrs.Smith, as well as his sisters cathy and sam, girfriend, supporters of his music and anyone who has ever met the man. we will all miss him and noone will ever replace his memories. He made an impact on so many peoples lives by just being him.He was and IS the illest producer ive ever known. he cldnt play keys, just played by ear on some timbo shit and if he broke down all the elements of how he did his beats youd be amazed. he was a great emcee and great drawer. dude was nasty in bball. i still cant believe this dudes gone.   Rest in Eternal Peace, my brother for life.....MUUUU TAO PKA TERO SMITH AKA ONE IN A MILLION. GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN. PEACE TO THE WEATHERMEN. AND ANYONE ELSE WHO IS GOING THRU IT LIKE I AM. P.S.  TAKE TIME 2 enjoy this short gift while its here.   AND HERES SOME FOOD FOR THOUGHT, HOW LONG R WE GONNA BEEF OVER BULLSHIT ??? TILL SOMEONE DIES THEN WE WANNA START THINKING? PEACE TO BLUEPRINT, THE 3RD, ILLOGIC,GREENHOUSE,RJD2,DJ DRASTIC,TRUE SKILLS,BOMBAY,THE WEIGHTLESS CAMP,SPITBALL, ANYONE I FORGOT I GOT LOVE FOR YOU ALL. WE WERE ALL COOL B4 WE STARTED PUTTIN OUT THESE SONGS FOR STRANGERS 2 ANALYZE. LETS GET BACK 2 OUR SHIT AND MAKE COLS STRONGER, I GOT LOVE FOR ALL OF YOU.

p.s. me and cage have squashed our differences.

HipHopSite Review
Mixtape; No Rating Given

So just where in the hell has Copywrite been? For those who have been following the Ohio emcee, many know that the last couple of years have been pretty turbulent. Since dropping The High Exhaulted to critical acclaim, Copy has been having a roller coaster career. He's slayed emcees and took the crown at the Roc-the-mic battle during the jay-z / 50 Cent Roc the Mic tour and began working closely to Roc-a-Fella (before their demise). But many also know of the disbandment of MHz and Weathermen (to many fans dismay) and how Copywrite basically went incognito since then. Questions have arisen as to the whereabouts of Pete Nelson and virtually out of nowhere comes an answer with Copywrite and his crew's mixtape titled The O.D.O.T. Takeover.

There are many questions that need to be answered and many are answered in this mixtape. Question #1: Is Copywrite still dope? The answer is an emphatic "HELL YEAH." If, for some reason you have ever doubted Copywrite's mic skill then you should be ashamed. Take the Jake One produced "Snakes", for instance. Copy's flow is flawless against the throbbing backdrop as he addresses the multiple forms of snakes that plague the environment. Copywrite bobs and weaves his way through the mixtape with something to prove. He strangles the mic on the late J Dilla produced "Waiting to Exhale", delivering lines like "Mo' sick flows/Wearing jordan's so sick so rare/Jordan stared and said 'where the fuck you get those?'/Told him my bitch knows/Talk to my boo/And you can meet defeat but you could never walk in my shoes". It is evident that Copywrite is one of the most dominant emcees walking the earth today, with a healthy use of crafty one liners and punchlines.

Question #2: Is his crew dope? Well, the crew may not be as dope as Copy, but they hold their own in more ways than one. KingDom and Catalyst are both solid emcees that have their respective times to sine. KingDom holds steady on the Dilla produced "That's a Wrap" while Catalyst maintains on his solo joint "Let it Rip". Although it is indeed difficult to keep up with Copywrite, KingDom and Catalyst do much more than be the wack back up guys that many crews are made up of.

Old Partners Jakki and Tage Future are simply disgusting in their own right. Listening to Jakki romp with Copywrite on "We Run This" makes you yearn for a MHz reunion while Tage rolls through the sinister production of Jake One on "Take it Away". Some may say that Copy should have just rolled with Jakki and Tage because of their unique styles that have complimented each other so well over the years, but having KingDom and Catalyst in the circle definitely hasn't hurt the crew.

Question #3; Is the mixtape worth copping? Indeed! As with any mixtape there are sure to be some weak points, but these moments don't overwhelm the plethora of good material here. But what the Odot Takeover Mixtape does best is announce the second coming of Copywrite and if this is any indication, emcees better watch their backs.
