Hello my pretties! Hope your spring was great, since it just whizzed on by & we're staring at summer all of a sudden! How did that happen??
I'm still in the studio, in the final phases of some stressful bliss & loving every minute of it! I got to work with Kris Kristofferson, Dolly Parton (nice pic, huh?), & I'm looking forward to my other guests stopping by to be creative with me! I just can't quit typing 'exclamation points' at this point!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm SO excited!!!!!

The gigs are also going great. It's always so much fun to get out and play live and soak up everybody. PLEEZ get out to see us if you haven't yet. It's WAY different from the records & the radio. TOO much fun & a complete rock show!

And look at you graduates, all graduated & stuff! Hold your head up & be proud of yourself for a job well done. I was just at The University of Tennessee for their celebration (my alma matter) & got to tool around the campus before Jeff & I performed. I even went by my old dorms, haunts, & out to Toddy's, where I used to tend bar. It was AWESOME. If only we could go back, right? Well, we can't........so......soak it up NOW!

Hope you guys have a safe & memorable Memorial Day coming up. Let's remember all of the awesome people that have served our country, as well as the people that we love that aren't with us anymore.

Hello out there! I got caught up answering some mail from you guys last week & forgot to update the blog & bulletin.
Hope everyone's doing well & looking forward to a fantastic Easter weekend. I love what the holiday represents & am relieved that God loves us so much. I gave Hayes his Easter basket early 'cause I just couldn't wait to see him squeal with excitement! Going to church in the morning & hope you have the same opportunity.
We'll be in Missouri for a show this week & then in the studio for more recording. It's coming along quite nicely. Can't wait to hear the finished product. AND for you to hear it too.
I'm sitting here looking at this mess in my house & just wanting to run out the front door! I go through spells of being ultra neat & clean to a complete 'stacker' of stuff. I drive myself crazy in that regard.
I wish you much love & happiness in your lives. And don't forget to be kind to people, and most of all HONEST. Just found out I was lied to by someone who claims to 'love' me. Don't do the same, it's not worth what you lose.

Hellew! Sorry it's been almost 2 weeks since the last thoughts, but I'm making this new album & have been quite crazed, between that & being with little Haysie.

Hope this finds you all alive & well & with many good-hearted plans for the upcoming weekend. I will be traveling back to Nashville to do more recording. I cannot WAIT to get there & do more tracking (studio lingo for recording music!)

Being part Irish (& QUITE proud!), I look forward to the Saturday festivities (after the plane ride) with my family, which will hopefully include a green beer & some fresh crawfish! (Did I mention Cajun-Irish? Also....Scottish, English, etc..) Anything to celebrate!

As far as extracurriculars....I've been disappointed in the re-runs on tv right now, but haven't had much time for it anyway.

I chipped my front tooth (can you say 'redneck'?) on Saturday & my dentist graciously gave me a mended chopper on Monday. Whew!

I traded in my big, gas-guzzling SUV for a teeny-tiny-MINI Cooper! When you stop laughing, you can let me know what YOU'RE driving to help our environment?!?!?!

Other than that, I look forward to the upcoming shows (posted) & hope that you'll come out to see us. We have a great time!!

Also, I wish you a much blessed Easter & hope that you'll celebrate the fact that we're all loved beyond our wildest dreams. Whether you go to church or not, you can be assured of that, since that's what God promises.

OK. Is anyone else freaked out that it's that last friggin' week of February?? Man, are those lil' sands of time just trickling thru the hourglass.

Hope life's been good to you this week. I'm here in LA, basking in the traffic & confusion of the Oscar mahem & feeling very lucky to live where I do, regardless. The weather couldn't be MORE beautiful & my white roses are thriving.

Funny, yesterday we took my son to the doctor for his flu he can't seem to shake, and low & behold.....I walk into that office, take a seat, look across the tiny waiting room......and there sits.....Al Pacino! Not kidding! ONLY in LA. His kids were running around, batting the rubber gloves they'd blown up in the back. He couldn't have been more kind. AND charming! I HATE name dropping & I'm not a fan of 'Star Gazers', but it's very cool to sit across from Virgina Madsen at my dentist office, laugh at Paris Hilton's little dog-driving-Bentley (I see her ALL the time, for some strange reason!), sit next to Cameron Diaz at dinner......blah-blah-blah. Not changed or 'affected' by it, just moved to grin at the sense of humor of my Angels and be grateful for being a little more 'shiney' from all the fairy dust.

I'm working on new music, which we are hoping to have out this summer.

I'm terrified of 'dating', but am now open-minded to the process. (Did I just really TYPE that on my BLOG???) Bear in mind, people........no one EVER asks me out!!!

I've also recovered from the flu & lost a few pounds, so........I'm in a VERY good mood! ;0)

I hope that you will think positive thoughts for yourself and someone else this coming week. Do something nice for someone, will ya?

I assumed the 'bulletin' I did earlier today was the same as 'blogging', but I guess I'm stiil green at this, so....just wanted to put up some more thoughts and thanks for all of the feedback.

I hope you'll check out the new music that I'm showcasing here from time to time. It will be unique, for the most part, and pretty hard to find elsewhere. That's one of the perks of being able to produce my own records. I can do new stuff for a select few to have access to, retaining some creative freedom, and exhaling into the atmosphere of gratitude for what I'm blessed to be able to do for a living!

These are my fav's on the tube, not that you were wondering. This week (TONIGHT, YAY!) is Grey's Anatomy (my FAV!), Desperate Housewives (go Jamie!), and Brothers & Sisters (incredible show!). If you need some 'non-reality check', these shows make you feel like you're actually a part of them! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them. Be careful.....they're addictive.
Uh......Ms. Shonda? Call me, gurl. We NEED to talk!!

Oh, BTW.....this global warming and the state our world is in is freaking me out, so PLEEEZ......turn off your lights, downsize in your vehicle (if you can), recycle, VOTE, and BE KIND to one another.

Okee Dokey....my FIRST blog EVER, so.....heeeer goes.

I'm sitting on my living room floor, watching Jimmy Kimmel (muted) and surfing. I had the amazing opportunity to sing with Brian McKnight tonight (and Kenny Loggins) at a Grammy event here in LA. SOOOOOO excited about that due to all that raw talent flying around. However, due to some flu-ishness on my part, I was far from ON MY GAME & just wish for a do-over in the very near future. Either way, I gave it my best, and it was a blessing and I have hopes for more of the same.

Thanks for all of your input and posts. Please know that I am hands on in this site and Sue, James, Sacha, Carol, Aaron, & Megan are the amazing people who help my world turn more towards the Sun in every regard and have been monumental in making this a reality, FINALLY!

I also want to send out prayers to Anna Nicole's friends and family in this tragic time. I was truly hoping for a happy ending for her.
