If anyone was thinking about swinging by the Chapter on the 21st to watch the film, bad news. It's been cancelled. Well, postponed till Spring.
Ah well.

Hiya. A few screenings have come to light.
Tuesday October 21 - 1830 - Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff. The annual MA Film Graduate Screening. I think it's free to get in. Should be a few films on show.
18-23 November - Encounters Short Film Festival - The Watershed, Bristol. This one is a little different. It's not getting put on the big screen but you can request to watch it digitally. What I think this means is that they'll give you a copy of the film and you can watch it on a nearby laptop. Better than nothing eh?
3 - 8 May - British Film Festival LA - Redondo Beach, Los Angeles. If any of you were actually from LA you could attend.
I'm hoping for a few more too. I'll add them when they are confirmed. Ta.

Can't remember if this has been said before but why not say it again huh?
I don't really write stuff on here too much these days. There's the facebook group and the blogger blog. The blog address is http://iwishiwaswritingbatman.blogspot.com/
With the facebook thing just do a Don Williams search. That should find it. Invite your friends.
Thanks.
Tony.

Like I've said on many an occasion I don't update this page much. All the updates occur on the www.pontypriddtales.com website and the blog on that. I thought I'd give a bit of an update though....
The film has been screened a few times now to a really good reaction. most recently it was shown in the Chapter in cardiff. Pretty big crowd and the response was really good. It's always a good sign when people laugh in the right places.
I've recorded a couple of commentaries for the film. One is a director one which was obviously done by myself. The other is one that I did with Mike and Ian from the Lostprophets. It's pretty funny. There's footage to make a behind the scenes documentary film thing too. I can throw production photo's on there too.
I've finally bought a dvd burner and the software so I'll be making up some dvd's soon too.
Couple of other projects kinda in the pipeline. I've written some stuff but we'll see. Working on one of my older projects recently. A novel of all things. Also thinking more and more about setting up a business. We'll see.

Hi all.
For those of you that were interested in coming to the free screening of 'The Legend Of Don Williams' on Sunday please note that the time has changed.
Originally it was the first film of the day at 10am. Things appear to have been rejigged and it looks like the film is going on at about 12.15 now. A time which is probably a little better for a Sunday morning.
It's still at the Dylan thomas centre in Swansea. I think it's in the main hall but we'll find out when we get there.
Cheers.
Tony.

Just a reminder about the screening of the film that's taking place on Sunday. The details are...
Sunday 1st June, 10 am, Dylan Thomas centre, swansea. FREE ENTRY!
It's being shown as part of the Swansea film festival where the film is nominated for best Welsh production.
On a sidenote, a lot of people have commented about the start time. I have nothing to do with this. No say at all. This is the timeslot I was given and have to accept.
If any of you are local or feel like an early morning car ride then your attendance would be cool.
See you there maybe.
Tony

Just out of interest, were any of you thinking of coming to the screening in Swansea?
I know some of you will have seen it by now though.
They've just asked me if I wanna do a Q&A afterwards but I have no idea who might show up. Last thing I wanna do is agree and three people turn up. I'd rather go to the bar and have a chat. Can still do that.
So, If you are thinking of going or know someone who's going can you let me know please. I'm interested more than anything. Also if you know anyone that might be interested please pass on the info.
Ta.
Dylan Thomas Centre. 10 am. Sunday 1st June. Free entry.
Tony

Hiya. A week or so ago I told you all that my film 'The Legend Of Don Williams' has been accepted for a screening at the Swansea Film Festival. Well, it turns out that the film has been deemed worthy of a nomination. 'Best Welsh Production.' Gees. Check me out ana. Honestly tho, I think it's a case of making up the numbers but I don't care. I'm quite looking forward to it all. So as a reminder, the film is actually being screened at the Dylan Thomas Centre, Swansea on Sunday 1st June at 10am. If you haven't seen it and wanted to there's your chance. Free entry. Here's a link so you can see what's what. http://www.swanseafilmfestival.com/home07.htmI know it says 07 but it is up to date. Tony.

Hi everyone. Bit of news and update. Update first...
The festival in Galway was average at best. It just wasn't tailored to my needs but I'm sure that a lot of people got something out of it. The film wasn't 'screened' as such. All student films were submitted into a DVD library which meant that whoever wanted to watch it can get it and watch it on a nearby laptop. I know some people watched it which was cool but I don''t think any pro's did. Ah well.
Second thing. I've just had an email confirming that 'The Legend Of Don Williams' has been selected for a screening at the Swansea Film Festival. I'm pretty damn stoked.
It's on at 10am on Sunday June 1st. FREE ENTRY. It's the first film of the day which is cool cos there's loads of stuff on.
So, if you haven't seen it already you can get yourself down to the Dylan Thomas centre and have a look. You can even boo if you want.
Cheers guys. Once again, if you have a spare few minutes please invite all your friends to the group. More the merrier and, especially now when screenings are happening, it really helps me.
Tony.

Can’t remember if I’ve mentioned this before or not but I’ve created a facebook group for the film because it’s easier for communication. I’ve put some pics up on there and obviously theres a discussion board and a wall if you were interested in that stuff.
The link is http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=8575432437
If you do join up please invite as many people as you can to the group. It’s not a case of just having loads of people to look cool or whatever it really does genuinely help me out. Quite a bit actually.
Thanks.
