....Improving Online Retention of Your Customers....
..
Improving Online Retention of Your Customers By Ryan S Kaufman
If you're trying to make money online, retention of your customers is something you need to be mindful of. Not paying attention to this important aspect of online marketing is akin to leaving money on the table.
Marketing to existing customers
The great thing about marketing to existing customers is that they already believe in what you're saying --- you've proven yourself to the degree they've bought from you. Not attempting to continue to sell to them is a crying shame, really. Top income earners online tend to sell to a list of people repeatedly. They become trusted advisers to their customers and over time, those customers not only repeatedly make purchases but they often refer their friends.
How to make continual money with your existing customers
There are a lot of different ways you can leverage your existing client base so that you can continue to sell. Here are two tips:
1. Ensure you choose a niche that allows you to sell more than one product. Selling complementing products allows you to continue to earn income from your existing client base. You can set up a system that helps you put customers into a funnel where they enter, purchase once, and then your autoresponder software inserts them into the next sales cycle. It can become an automated process.
2. Sell a consumable product such as Gano healthy coffee, that can have people buying from you on a regular basis. Instead of having to fight for every new customer to keep the income flowing in, you can also count on residual income each month because you're selling something your customers will buy from you repeatedly.
How do you ensure that you can keep customers buying? Provide stellar customer service, a product your customers can believe in, and leverage great online retention tools as well.
The best way to do this is to work with an online program that teaches you, the affiliate, how to do that and who strives to retain new members by helping them succeed.
Making money online involves retaining customers, and learning to do that can make you more successful. If you're joining an MLM program or other online training program, you want to join a company that takes online retention of affiliates seriously as well and provides you with the tools and resources to succeed. Current mood: enraged
Reposting from my Momphabet Soup blog about my recent experience with Bell ExpressVu and how they subjected my children to porn: In essence, they put adult commercials .. a WWE SummerSlam wrestling event without warning. Wouldn't responsible programming suggest that they only play these commercials during appropriately rated shows? During a 14+ PG show they aired nudity and very sexual advertisements. Thank God I was in the room to get the tv off before too much damage was done... Part A: from Momphabet Soup I don't love pro wrestling (not since I was about 12 back in the Hulk Hogan days) but my son does and he pleaded with me to let him watch the WWE SummerSlam event today. He suggested going to the movie theater to see it as several theaters are screening it for wrestling fans. Due to a busy schedule and because it made more sense cost-wise we decided to order the PPV event for $40. It didn't end well. I'm enraged, actually. The event was listed as on from 8:pm EST to 11:pm and we ordered it through Bell ExpressVu and decided to record it on our PVR so he could watch it repeatedly if he chose to. The event ended early and there was still time before the event was to re-air on the same channel. We didn't change the channel immediately as we (myself, my husband and my children) were chatting in the living room after the event. There was nothing on the screen that told us to change the channel either. Suddenly the screen went from the VU logo and elevator-type music to an advertisement for a show called Girls Gone Wild. Sure, there were some 'censored' banners over women humping each other in revealing clothes but it didn't leave too much to the imagination and the talk was pure smut. "What if you could have your own panty raid with horny, sex-starved college girls?" was the first thing my kids heard. I frantically tripped towards the TV and got it paused and then managed to get it turned off and ordered my boys out of the room for a moment. I phoned ExpressVu to express my extreme disgust. I'm quite sure the vast majority of people watching wrestling events on pay per view are young boys. The PPV event was rated 14+, not 18+.read more Then part B from Momphabet Soup:
As an update to yesterday's post about how Bell ExpressVu subjected my children to pornography I received a call today from someone who tried to placate me and didn't do such a good job at it. I did, however, get told to send a formal complaint to the executive office at the parent company. So I did: Read more

Hub pages are said to offer a great online opportunity to make money and gain exposure. I've been putting this on the backburner for a while but took time tonight to whip three hubs together. They might need some tweaking in the coming days when I assess how they're doing online in the search engines as well as with earnings but we shall see... http://hubpages.com/profile/marleymauve

Visit my writing services blog for information on effective article writing. Here's an excerpt: The intro has to grab the reader before they wander off with a case of online attention deficit disorder. You have about two seconds to grab their attention so your title and your opening paragraph need to tell readers they'll get a benefit from reading the article. The rest of the article has to have some real meat in it so that you deliver what you've promised and in the end, you need to convince them to click, buy, subscribe, or ______(fill in the blank with the desired call to action.) I must admit, my job has been less than fun lately. I've written over a thousand articles in the last month (many of them short, mind you) and for the most part have been writing about dry, boring stuff.
I finally started my novel a few weeks ago and wrote a few pages and felt so alive that I couldn't sleep that night. It hit me at around midnight...this energy and intense need to write something creative so I sat alone while the house was quiet and my fingers flew with a fury that was quite different than recent months.
Most days, my fury comes from the need to hit a deadline and the desire to get something done and over with but that night, it was the muse...the muse that I thought went AWOL on me.
Anyway, I need to find that fire again. I just hit a big, hard deadline that came smack dab in the middle of some severe personal problems so it was treacherous. I hit an 11,000 word a day quota two days in a row and then crashed for a few days.
Magically, the moment I needed it, my mentor came to my rescue and gave me some decent paying creative work. It's funny, I have been so in business/seo mode that it's taking time to find some creative juices for this project. It might be a one off if I'm not right for the job or could be recurring depending on a few factors but even if it is a one off, it's come at a perfect time. It has helped me see that I need more creative writing, otherwise my love for writing will just shrivel up and die.
Tonight, after the house is quiet, maybe I'll find my muse wanting to come out and play again and maybe get more done on my novel.
Ciao for now, Dana

I had to write about something just now this morning that stopped me cold because my word came up as not found in my Word dictionary. I wrinkled my nose and tried a few spelling variations but nothing worked at there were no suggestions. I mosied over to dictionary.com, sure that Word was flawed. Nothing.
Hmmm, could I be wrong? I guess I was. I made up a word that sounded completely logical to me and now I can not use it. But wait! I know this word is real, I couldn't have made it up. Could I? It was starting to make my head spin. I ask my husband...he answers "Boop". I don't like it much when he says that. He might as well say, "duh."
I had to write about malnutrition being caused by non absorption of nutrients. It was for an article about Inflammatory Bowel Syndrome. I called it: malabsorption. Strange that that isn't a word. Seems as though it should be. I racked & racked my brain and then found it through a google check. So I didn't make it up afterall, I guess it's just one of those words that has eased its' way into vocabulary but hasn't eased its' way into dictionaries yet.
Strange.
At least I know I've not totally lost it and made up my own Danglish (Dana's English)
