Some news from Battlelore.

We are currently on a gig break preparing for the new album. The studio is booked for June/July 2010. So new album should be out around October 2010.

On the other news Tomi's other band Evemaster have just completed the audio-side of the new upcoming album called "III". So the album is recorded, mixed and mastered. Currently Timo (bass player of BLore - http://www.death-illustrated.net/) is working on the artwork for the album.

Yesterday when the blizzard hit southern Finland we went out and took some cool photos for the cover artwork and promotional stuff.

Hellos all!

As MySpace granted more space I've done the good deed and added a few more songs. I decided to add something that might be "new" for some people as they haven't got the digi-pack version of "Third Age of the Sun" for example. So ENJOY!

The new "Blast from the Past" song I added is from the first Battlelore promo "Warrior's Tale". The song is called "Black Legions" and even though very raw and not fully Battlelore-ish yet it does indeed give some hints about what is to come.

Other related news... we are working on getting more gigs. We have a few festivals announced and a few are still waiting for confirmation. There are also some tour plans brewing that some of you might be very, very happy about. The news will be posted when the things get written in stone.

Hey hey hey!

I just posted 2 new songs from "The Last Alliance" for your listening pleasure. "Third Immortal" is the poppy album opener which will also be released as a video track later this week probably. "The Great Gathering" is harder and more epic song of them 2. Hope you like them! And sorry for the people who have linked "House of Heroes" to their profiles, you need to add another song or link the video to your profiles as that song needed to go and give room for the new ones. This is due to the 6-song limit on the profiles. I'd like to add some old stuff from the first demo... :)

Kaisa is featured as a covergirl on the 60 issue of Inferno Magazine (biggest metal magazine in Finland). In the mag there is a 5-page interview with Kaisa. Also Jyri is featured in the mag. Below is the cover image:



We've received a massive amount of reviews around the world and it seems that in general the new album is very liked. THANK YOU EVERYONE!

The Last Alliance found its way to the official Finnish album charts in its first week as number 26! Thanks to all our fans, friends and families for the support, we'll remember this!

The release of "The Last Alliance" draws near. We are getting anxcious thus new website was unleashed last night (http://www.battlelore.net) and new layout for myspace revealed (http://www.myspace.com/battleloremusic). Some of you have also noticed that I added a few new promotional pictures under our MySpace account.

Before the European release of the album there will be an album stream provided by http://www.heavylaw.com/ Go there and listen to the album! It will be available for the whole day (CET) of 25th of September.

Just to refresh the memory, the release dates for the album are:

The Last Alliance was recorded at Sound Supreme Studios in Hämeenlinna, Finland, with the ingenious producer Janne Saksa, and mixed and mastered by the legendary Dan Swanö at Unisound Studios, Sweden. Some words from Dan: "Fuck yeah!!! Let's make history!!!", "mixing your stuff is like mixing 156 death metal albums at the same time", "I believe it to be fantastic. It's a killer record!".
