helloooooo.. i’m waiting for my flight to new jersey .. so i was like.. dang i need to do a blog tell em wassup! ahhaha i dunno if u guys actually read my blogs.. those who do thanks n wow u have patience lol

so im in malaysia rite now.. in my video blog i mentioned comin back rite.. i did two major shows .. one called the sunburst concert which was interestin n heaps fun lol they had all these different stages n different artist performed at different times.. it was on a huge oval with thousands of peeps lol john legend performed, the roots, incubus, etc etc.. n yay me me meeeeee hahahhaha i aactually got there on the day of the event so .. dunno how i killed that show lol u can check the chow out on youtube. yea people already put footage up. wowzers!

k so the second event was for teh nike show which was the biggest reason why i did come because they looked after me pretty much my whole stay.. their event was called the ’this is love’ event. NIKE!!!!! yes it wa an all womens event n i had a freakinnnnnnn balllll!!!! it was heaps fun hahahhaha a whole warehouse filled with nothing but sweaty fun women ahahhahahahaahhahahahaa

sooo..... im back!! japan was off the chain once again! i swear the label peeps over there are sent from heaven ahha there was not a day that went by that i stressed.. even at teh very last day .. the day i left i had to get another luggaage bag n repack some stuff so i wont be over weight hahah i already checked out of the hotel and everything.. so i repacked in the bus that took us to the aiport hahahah it was mayhem in the bus but was funny.. i sorted everything.. plus the ride was an hour so yayer!

ok enough of that.. everyone in japan from my reps to my interpreter kana-san hehe and my dancers kana and lisa (hot!!!) and the cutest things ever.. and the crew from 'cheer' which is the clothing line thats crazyy!!!! they sponsored a lotta outfits which im so greatful for wow! Rica the designer, sayaka her asistant and ryoji the boss were such cool peeps.

the press and tv i did: MTV, FUTURE TRAX (FILMED), WARRATA-IITOMO (the host of this show is in the guiness book of records as the oldest runnin show host since 1982, he's 61yrs old hahhahaa and its one of those funny japanese shows ), UHLALA, AND HEAPS OF RADIO..

i performed at one of the biggest clubs over there called ageha.. same spot the last time i was there for R-FESTA.. a fan bought me a lil mickey mouse doll from disneyland japan hehehe yayy!!!

went shoppin at shibuya and bought as much as i could afford (which wasnt much) hahahahaha but yayyyyyyyyy was awsessss n tel u wat.. i hate shoppin yes i do but when it comes to japan im a girly girl to a T. hahahahhahah hahahahhaaha shit im crackin myself up..

Sometimes our problems are bigger then ourselves.. there's been many times i would sit there tryin to figure out ways of fixing it or coming up with a solution..
during periods like this i've learnt that sometimes it should be left alone for it to work itself out.. if u believe in god then i say leave it in his hands and he will somehow shift things for u and before u know it everything falls in place..

i think comunication is so important.. but sometimes things are better off left unexplained.. some people need to see actions more then hearing an explanation.. for actions are so much more powerful then words sometimes.. Sometimes i said hahaha

some people are so afraid of what other people might think of them.. where as the only thing they should be afraid of is how they see themselves and how they make of themselves.. i use to get so upset when someone judges me the wrong way.. or critisizes me over actions that i myself know i wouldn't do.. or i couldn't bare it if someone didn't like the person i am.. lol ..

those days are gone.. everyone must also remember that nobodies perfect.. we forget that sometimes.. and i think forgiveness is another big factor that not many people can do.. but is such a healing in itself..

people who have crossed me who i thought never will.. crushed me to pieces.. but at the end of the day life is what u make of it.. and holding grudges is like a knife stuck in yr heart.. to me it is anyways cos it feels so yuk.. i learnt that forgiving can be a healing process.. and gives u a sense of peace.. u may not be as close to that person.. or u may give a person a 2nd chance.. but it stops that feeling of hate that u walk around having.. damn sure ain't worth it.. why?

cos for me.. it lessens the opportunity for me to cherish another human being.. to give another person the benefit of the doubt.. to be able to help and love with open arms and an open heart. cos that's what i love doing.. as much as i can lol

i don't usually blog bout my thoughts like this lol.. but i couldn't sleep .. i'm jetlaged and in japan rite now n i love it! lol i think i should do this more often.. have a good one guys .. n continue to stay positive ; ) just thought i'd share about somethings i've learnt and live by..

FIRST OFF!! thank u to all that looked after me in sydney and hawaii the past 3 weeks.. all the radio peeps and EMI reps. charlie u too!! hehe and i just heard my album is out in poland!! woww...

ok guys dont me mad i been away for a while . i haven't been back in jersey for like 3 weeks dude! haha

i went back to perth cos my bro got married awwwww n it was so sweett... was great to catch up with my parents whom i haven't seen in 10 damn MONTHS!! aww.. n 5 days was nothing to catch up with them so it was kinda sad.. that i had to leave them again..

next i went to sydney, promo began again.. i hadn't hit sydney yet for promo .. last i was there was when i did the kanye support tour..remember? ye it was freakin a year or so ago yikes..

so ye SYDNEY!! wass the shit!!!! oh how i love australia.. had my nandos ( the best grilled chicken in the world) yup! did alotta the stations, drops etc, channel V .. check my photos out, some of the stations n channel V pics are there too... hmmmm oh

MELBOURNE .. i did my 2nd VID!! yes dahllinnnn yes.. haha was a lotta fun, it was the best day man.. the director BART was awes.. cool dude.. he did ricki lee's latest vid too aparently ( aussies u know wat im talkin bout)

after that i went back to sydney for a few days then straight to HAWAIIIIII!!!
honolulu to be exact.. next to waikiki beach ahah CHECK THE PICS!! i dont look my best for sure but man i had funnn!!!!! i felt like a fish that day.. wanted to stay under the sun n swim all day ahhaha
i did a show for DA BOMB 102-7, sick station.. !! at the PIPELINE CAFE club .. people in hawaii are so sweet man.. can't wait to go back there..

Put The Fun Back In Performance

Monday – Not content to leave my gallivanting strictly to weekend evenings, on Monday I was in NYC for a rooftop performance by my homegirl Che'nelle. Che'nelle and I go way back as I was her first interview when she came to the States and I wanted to show my continued support. Plus I hadn't seen her in over a month. So I arrived, said hi to a ton of people I knew and then watched as Che'nelle hit the stage like she was born to do it. Laughing, cracking jokes with the crowd, giving brief explanations of her songs, she did everything X-IT had done two nights earlier and then some. The then some was some supremely fantastic booty shaking, which I'm actually very glad none of the members of X-IT did (sorry guys, that's just something I don't want to see ya'll doing). What made Che'nelle's booty shaking different than a lot of other artists' is that Che'nelle was smiling, showing everyone that she was having a good time and that she was shaking her booty because she wanted to, not because it was a dance move that was planned out. The genuineness of it rubbed off as rather than a bunch of guys going "oooh she's shaking that ass," everyone cracked a big smile right with her and some people even started dancing.

For neither of these shows was there a plan other than "perform music." Everything else was improvised. I realize not every artist is talented enough to do that, but if you aren't then stop being an artist. Performances aren't about what you pre-plan, they're about how you read and react to a crowd. If the crowd wanted pre-planned they'd watch a music video. Spontaneity creates fun. X-IT and Che'nelle weren't afraid to be spontaneous during their shows and everyone had a great time. So if you're an artist out there, before you buy a huge moving stage, get two tons of pyro, and hire the most expensive choreographer, realize all an audience really wants is to see that you're having a good time. Sit down with us, be human, tell us a story. It's a lot cheaper than a crazy stage, a lot simpler than a long dance number, and when it comes to making the fans happy it's far more effective.
