June/July was heck of busy for AK Slaughter but we stay grindin. 
Some various newses.
1.  A PERSONAL MATTER EP IS OUT NOW!!! This is huge news, we have to do a few little tweaks before we can get it out to the massive masses, but big ups to everyone who picked up a copy around town and at the round robin.   Look out for the itunes ish and the soundgarden/true vine/any record store that will have us ish soon.

2.  We are probably gonna be bookin some august and september shows real soon.  Keep eyes and ears alert.

3. AK Slaughter The MIXTAPE is the next big project, hopefully no later than september, mashing up everything great in music.  Send us a comment if there is a particular track that you want to hear AKS flip on the mixtape!!!

Thanks to everybody who showed love and came out during the Round Robin!.  It was a bathtub blast.....thanks especially to Joseph and the wonderful kids at the Copycat Annex.

Had a huge blast this past Saturday night at the Talking Head. The bill ended up getting shuffled around and we got added, along with Presto Magente, kindof last minute.  Luckily everything turned out completely excellent.  No need for words.  Peep the music on Beatbots.  The always magical Jeff "I came for the sex" Mewbourn was in the building making things happen for posterity and EMILY'S MOM WAS THERE TOO!!  Peep the music, gonna post some for the site soon.

Michael Byrne over at City Paper really says the sweetest things....knows how to make a guy/gal hip-hop duo feel special/loved/appreciated.   Very nice surprise to see Em and I grinning like idiots at the back of last week’s edition...If you check out that photo a little bit closer you can see my roomate JD’s feet at the bottom of the pic.  Anyway, show on Saturday Night KILLED. Had an ultimate blast,,,,,possibly even a BATHTUB BLAST? a la Human Host who likewise KILLED IT, and TRTL SOUP who killed it and SNACKS that ATE IT UP!

Ridiculous and Emily are back on the scene!
We are having fun planning out our first offiicial EP release working title "Dogs with babies heads"
Right now it looks like the EP will be a smattering of new and old and hopefully a couple of hilariously grave comedy sketches thrown in...God Bless and God Damn prince paul for inventing the hip hop sketch.  I love that man.  Will post new finished and unfinished tracks as we lay some things down....

Thanks to everyone @ Current especially Andy for making it happen and Jason U. for running our sound with intense professionalism. 

CanyonFest Show went over well......after inexplicable and sometimes awesome avant set from Smash Hits......AKSlaughter did their thing inside the gallery on the new and awesome stage.  (permanent installation?)  We ripped things in a decent manner, new material went over well and my Parents seemed to dig the whole thing which gives me (and Emily) a warm pleasant feeling.

We are officially looking to book many shows in any and all locations...including out of town.....use and abuse the AKS, we will ask for more.

We had a blast pretending we were in college on Friday night.  The ART was excellent.  Alex and Andrew's work was a wonderful mess of bizarre world animal crafts, symbolically charged anatomical drawings, freak-out collage and cakes.

Lots of great friends were there to show love and support and we did out best to surmount technical difficulties leaving two burning hunks of metal where the microphones were when we started.
