After well over a year of very hard work, Blackthorn is incredibly happy and relieved to announce that we've finally finished our debut album, «Gossamer Witchcraft»! We finished mixing at KIV Records studio and the mastering process was completed a few days ago. You can check out a couple of songs right now on our myspace page, also don’t forget about the tracklisting and the official cover by Oleg Kumanovsky & Kron of Melancholy band:

Hail all those interested in the release of our debut album!
We thought there are few things we need to make clear, so here's the latest news from the band:
At the moment, almost everything is recorded, except guest vocals, but it definitely won't take much time;
the album was recorded at EM-Sound studio and at Zverinets studio in Moscow;
The album will be mixed & mastered by Igor Korolev in Kivrecords, Moscow (official website; this guy also worked with Stigmatic Chorus, Kartikeya, Arcana Imperia, etc);  the release for Blackthorn's debut album Gossamer  Witchcraft is planned for the ending of December 2008/beginning of January 2009.

Here we should make intriguing facial expression and inform you that  Gossamer Witchcraft has a twin brother; in other words, there will be two versions available: GW with english lyrics and  GW with russian ones! Russian title and tracklist coming soon, now check the english...

This is our front cover, as you can see, it's befogged, but we think the fogs will evanesce very soon

Gossamer Witchcraft promo-teaser;)

The work on our debut album Gossamer Witchcraft is going on, now it's Aina's turn to work in the studio and tell her microphone what she thinks of it:)

Instrumental part of the record is almost complete, currently we're recording vocals, creating the album cover and going to do a promo photoshoot.

Unfortunately Olga has decided to concentrate on being a mother and  leaves our army. We want to thank her for everything she has contributed to the band for the last 3 years and want to wish her all the best in the new life period!

So, after auditioning many keyboardists we are glad to introduce Freya the Symphonic Horror Pyromantium as our newest member. We feel her dedication to music will be an asset to us as she surely will bring some new influences and good ideas!
