Much Thanks are in order for The Big Wu and The Histronic for letting us play with them at the Orpheum the other night. If you didn't make it you missed a multifacited Groovefest the likes of which I have never been a part of. Couple more shows coming up as we turn to festival mode. Check us out this wednesday at The Twins bar for Homegrown. We play at 8 and if you want to go to the castle to see the Mama K and the Fantastics show, There is a free bus leaving the Twins bar at nine. So you can see us and then stay or go, as long as we get hugs before you leave. Then of course we know we will see ALL of you Rezzies at Bella Madre!

Current mood:  blissful
People keep telling me how amazing it is that we (the lowly Rez) get to play with God Johnson. All I have to say is DUH it's freaking amazing. All of you should come out to this show, because it will be the coolest show to date. Imagine if you will The Rez, followed by The Histronic, followed by God Johnson. That sounds like a swell night to me. So bring your groove thing ripe for the shakin' and come join the fun(k).

1) thisty pagan tonight with Elf Luttuce. It's gonna be a wacky good time so come on out.
2) after like 6 months of some kid named Bowen aka Chunky Peanut Butter aka the other dude named Pat has been drumming for us. We finnally put down the pipe long enough to upload some pictures of him to the page. So if you want to see what a drummer looks like, check it out.

Current mood:Froze solid
I've been talking to a lot of old buddies lately who have left Duluth MN. Whenever they ask me "hows Duluth?" all I can think of to say is frozen wasteland. What made early settlers think to themselves,"I like 8 months of harsh winter and wonderful but really short 6 week summers" I mean those crazy bastards lived in huts and shit. i live in a house and it's goddamn freezing in here! Maybe if we went back to our roots and started trading furs it would put everything in perspective.

So I was just thinking to myself....wasn't it like only ten years ago that people were jokingly saying, "I bet in ten years everyone will have videophones."  Does anyone else remember that?  Well now it's just a matter of having a fast enough internet connection, and broadband is becoming more and more ubiquitous.  The virtual age is upon us, people!  We're all riding the exponential-growth-curve of consciousness!  All the more reason to enjoy every moment and groove to the down and dirty primal funkitude!

That's all for now

Current mood:  savage
Late in evening on a tuesday not so long ago, a group of miscreants decended on the Thirsty Pagan."Shall we play some music?" asked the lanky sax player. "I say we rock that shit all night long baby allright" replied the quasi-jesus looking guy at the keyboards, and so they did. The roof was quite litterally blown of the joint in a cosmic blast of love fueled jamage. When next we play on the 31st at the twins bar, you should come and see for yourselves what happens....WHEN JAM BANDS ATTACK!!! Rated TVMA for strong language and the constant possibility of nudity.

I was diggin through my old cd's and stumbled across the album Caravan by Art Blakey and The Jazz Messangers and holy balls I forgot how good it was. The go from fast paced ass-kickery like "Caravan" and "Sweet and Sour" to super soulful ballads like "In he Wee Small Hours of the Morning". If you like jazz at all I highly recomend this album. Have you ever forgotten about an Album that was so important to you not so long ago? Apparently I have to much music in my collection.
