Four more songs have been added to the TTD Myspace site!!!

First, there's "Snow Leopard".  This is a pre-production demo of a new song, recently featured on the "NWOTM" (New Wave of Traditional Metal) compilation cd that was included with each April 2009 issue of Metal Hammer UK magazine.

"The Reflecting Pool" from Crest of the Martyrs has also been added, along with the title track of The Isle of Hydra and "The Epic War Never Ends" from The Curse of Twisted Tower.

Wayne Mitzen, who remixed and remastered "The Curse of..." for the new Heaven & Hell Records CD reissue, has put up a site about the differences between the original version and the new re-issue (w/ comparison mp3s) and his process for putting it all together.

"Name, Rank and Serial Number" is a cover of FIST (UK)'s NWOBHM classic that will be on the forthcoming 7" single "Hail Brittania Vol. II", the second in the NWOBHM tribute series released by THE MISKATONIC FOUNDATION.   After two years in the band and performing over 30 shows in Europe, Canada and the US, this is Johnny Aune's first studio recording on lead vocals with TTD and we're more than psyched on how it turned out! 

On the flipside of the single will be England's doom metal lunatics THE LAMP OF THOTH with a ripping version of RACE AGAINST TIME's "Bedtime", which can be heard at THE MISKATONIC FOUNDATION's MySpace site.  We'll let you know when there's a definitive release date for this!!!

We're currently in songwriting-mode for the next album "Make It Dark", five songs are pretty solid and three more are being worked on.  We've played three of them live "Snow Leopard", "Make It Dark", "The Only Way."  Our plan is to get all the new songs in the live set, and try them out live before we record the album.  This has been working great so far and we gotten alot of good reactions to the new songs!  They are getting more and more intricate instrumentally but they are fun as hell to play.

In other band news, "The Curse of Twisted Tower" and "Isle of Hydra" are set to be re-released on CD by HEAVEN AND HELL RECORDS.  "Curse..." has been remixed/remastered, and it will also feature an all-new cover painting from acclaimed artist Martin Hanford and an all-new layout designed by TTD's own Scott Waldrop.  "Hydra" will also feature an all-new layout designed by Scott.  Unfortunately, the original multi-track tapes for "Hydra" were destroyed in Scott Waldrop's tragic housefire in 2006. The TTD archives are currently being scoured for bonus material for both releases.   We're also planning on making both available for sale digitally. More info about these releases soon as well as sample songs on the MySpace site!

As far as live gigs, we are playing December 14th at VOLUME 11 TAVERN in Raleigh,NC with the legendary PAUL DI'ANNO, ICARUS WITCH and Raleigh's own PRAETORIUS.  Should be a night of Maiden madness!!!  We're also playing on December 12th at VOLUME 11 w/ WIDOW and VIPER for Big Mark's 50th Birthday Bash!!!

Also, Raleigh,NC's VIPER (featuring Jonny Aune on lead vocals/rhythm guitar) have recently released their debut album "Strike of the Viper"!  They have sample songs on their MySpace, crank it up loud!!!
