The Music are confirmed to appear at the "Splendour In The Grass" festival in Australia this summer alongside Devo, Wolfmother, Sigur Ros and The Vines amongst others. The festival takes place in Byron Bay on Australia's Gold Coast over the weekend of August 2/3 and tickets go on-sale Thurs 22nd May. All tickets for the band's low-key (900 capacity) gig at the Liquid Room in Tokyo sold out within an hour of going on sale at the weekend. The band will be recording a "live special" for MTV whilst in Tokyo and more live dates for Japan are set to be announced in the near future.

The Music will be chatting online from 4pm next Wednesday 9 April on Gigwise’s Tuborg Webchat Wednesday. In their first major interview since 2004, fans will be able to ask the band the questions they’ve waited so long to ask, before journalists get the chance to. The webchat will take place a week before the band embark on the second leg of their sell-out Four Cities Tour, and days after they shoot the video for their new single.
