Angel Food Ministries are helping families all over the USA. Go to www.angelfoodministries.com and see if there is a participating church near you! There are no income requirements........ Sandy
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-..denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The program began in 1994 with 34 families in Monroe, Georgia (between Atlanta and Athens), and has grown to serve hundreds of thousands of families every month across 35 states. Angel Food Ministries crosses denominational lines and has spread the good news of the gospel of Christ through salvation tracts that are placed in each food order.
Blessings by the box Angel Food is available in a quantity that can fit into a medium-sized box at $30 per unit. Each month's menu is different than the previous month and consists of both fresh and frozen items with an average retail value of approximately $60. Comparison shopping has been done across the country in various communities using a wide range of retail grocery stores and has resulted in the same food items costing from between $42 and $78.
Generally, one unit of food assists in feeding a family of four for about one week or a single senior citizen for almost a month. The food is all the same high quality one could purchase at a grocery store. There are no second-hand items, no damaged or out-dated goods, no dented cans without labels, no day-old breads and no produce that is almost too ripe.
Also offered are specialty boxes such as steaks, chicken and pork. Many participants in this bonus program appreciate the expanded choices. Additionally, there is no limit to the number of units or bonus foods an individual can receive, and there are no applications to complete or qualifications to which participants must adhere. Angel Food Ministries also participates in the U.S. Food Stamp program, using the Off-Line Food Stamp Voucher system.
It's both a Bargain and a Blessing! Sample Menu: (this month's menu can be viewed here)

Posted Mar-02-09 19:20:15 PST Years ago, I would never have set foot into a thrift store. I couldn't imagine what could possibly be in there, among all those old, used clothes and tattered furniture, that I would possibly want! Boy, what I didn't know then!! Now, I spend many hours of my life, in each and every thrift store in our city!! All of the managers know me by name!! lol! It is amazing what people will give away, not having a clue as to it's value, or not caring. I find wonderful pieces of glassware every time I walk into one of these magical places! A few tips: 1. Get to know the employees and the managers of your favorite thrift stores. I have people who will run to the shelves when they see me coming in, to bring up something special that they think I may be interested in!! Some will even tell you that they have a load of goodies that they will be putting on the shelves on a specific day. Being friendly and curtious is always a must. I have made many good friends from my adventures into thrift stores. 2. If you see something that you know has been on the shelf for awhile, don't be afraid to make an offer or ask then if they will lower the price. 99% of the time, they will. You must always discuss this with a manager, again, being curtious and friendly. Never be demanding or degrade the item!! 3. Find out what day they mark things down (most do it on a specific day) and go shopping on that day. 4. Shop the WHOLE store. I have found sets of expensive goblets on lower shelves, among the Christmas decorations! People may have decided not to buy them, and just put them wherever there was room. 5. Look carefully. Move things so that you can see behind. Get down and look on that bottom shelf. 6. When you find a treasure, look it over carefully. Is it damaged? If so, how badly? Sometimes, something that is chipped could be a big seller. I found a blue & white transferware lid to a soup tureen for $1. I had a chip on the inside rim, but couldn't be seen from the outside. I put it on ebay, and it sold for $80!!! So, think carefully before you pass it up! 7. Take your time. Set aside a day, each week or each month, and spend the whole day thrift store shopping. I always take a second walk past the glassware section, just in case they put out something new, or I missed something on my first pass. 8. Have fun with it!! I know it is part of your "job", but that doesn't mean you can't have a good time! Take a look in my ebay store and you will see many of my "Thrift store" finds. Buying in this way helps me aquire my inventory at a lower cost, which I can in turn pass on to my customers. It is a source that should not be overlooked! Happy hunting!! Sandy

My very good friend, and well known musician, Skully from Cork, Ireland, has created his own instrumental version of the beautiful song Hallelujah. It is his Valentine's Day gift to his friends and fans, but I think everyone should hear it!! Skully is also know as one half of the duo Metisse, who wrote and performed the song Boom Boom Ba. It was used in the tv series Dead Like Me, and is being used in the new movie, Dead Like Me, Life After Death! Click on Skully's name below, and listen to both songs on his myspace page. You will love it! www.myspace.com/skullymusic

This is the best thing I have found for detering non paying bidders. Everyone who sells on Ebay should have this on their listings. It keeps those who have a habit of not paying from doing so when purchasing from your online store or auctions because they know that you will not let them off the hook. After losing a $200 sale to a non paying buyer, I got fed up and looked for some way to recoup my listing costs. Ebay will only refund your final value fee, not the listing costs or give you payment for the time you spend trying to collect from these deadbeats! Here you can collect $10 restocking fee, plus receive payment of 20% of the cost of the item they refused to pay for. This is more than fair for the time and effort you have put into your work. Right now they are having a 30 day free trial, so you have nothing to lose. Try it!!

I have found the best site for eliminating non paying bidders altogether! Last month, I had a customer purchase 5 sets of goblets from my ebay store totaling $200. After two months of trying get my payment, I filed a non paying bidder complaint. He ended up getting 5 negatives and 5 non paying bidder strikes, which put him off of ebay. I ended up with the merchandise having to be relisted, and out my $200!!!
There is a wonderful site called "Reliabid", that will help eliminate they non serious bidders altogether. It also is associated with a collection agency that will actually go after these people, to get you a restocking fee (which will cover your relisting fees) plus 20% of the auction total.
You have to see this site. I am so excited about it! I have actually visited with the President of the company by phone, and have found that they are determined and commited to helping ebay sellers! Below is the link to the site. Please stop in and take a look. Read what they have to say. Go to my auctions or stores and see first hand what they add to your listings. They are offering a 30 free trial at te moment, but after that, with all of my listings, my fees will be $5.00 a month! So worth it to lose the bad ebayers. Please take the time to check them out.
