We're back. At least for this show.

We will be playing Saturday, October 10th, at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival in Pittsboro, NC.

We will play at 6:00pm until 7:15pm in the Cabaret Tent.

This is good.

We hope to dance with each and every one of you. We are well versed in many dancing styles.

where is harmute? what is harmute? how many harmutes are in a kilowatt? how many kilowatts will it take till he knows, that too many people have died from kilowatt exposure? these and many other questions may never be known.

what is known is this:

harmute is on temporary hiatus, not like Hey, We're Phish, We're Breaking Up But We'll Be Back Together In A Few Years, but more like the way Han Solo was cryogenically frozen. And by that, we don't mean it will take any longer or shorter, we just mean that we would all, and I think that I can safely speak for all of the band when I say this, we would all just really love a chance to kiss Leia.

1) when will we play again?

well, rumor has it, harmute has been invited to play this fall's Shakori Hills grassroots festival. when we know more details, so shall you.

2) where did all those cool new demos come from?

well, the large majority of them (Nightstand, Indian Song, I Think that You Were Right, Vampire Lover) were all recorded mostly live over the period of two days in my dining room right after we finished up our three shows at the end of July, a week ago. Cassandra and Temporary Tattoos were also recorded in my dining room, but in a more extended and professional and possibly illegal process, called "photosynthesis." Cassandra features a guest guitar part by Joshua Baker. While We're Still Young was recorded and produced by Derek Torres of Lake Inferior. We like that guy.

3) would it even be the same, kissing Princess Leia now, after all those years?

i'd like to think it would be.
