We recorded 4 new songs on June 30th and released them on a new e.p. appropriately titled "4 New Songs". All the tracks were recorded live with some minor vocal and percussion over dubs. We made 50 copies including hand painted covers and inserts. Unfortunately though we have sold out of them all ready. But we will find a way for all of you that want the songs to get them. Perhaps even making them free to download. For now though 2 of the 4 new songs are up on our site. Hope you enjoy.

Also we recorded a live studio session for the daytrotter blog. you can check it out here.

This is how we keep our spirits up after shitty shows.

As for the rest of the tour, it has been going pretty well. We have had some good shows, and some bad ones. I lost $70 in vegas. Caleb left his suitcase in Arizona. We had a killer house party in L.A. at my brothers house. We got free french fries at Mac Donald.

XMU satellite radio is going to be playing one of our songs tomorrow night sometime between 10 and 11p.m. on their program called The Radar Report.

If you don't have Satellite radio, you can listen to the show online for free at http://www.xmradio.com/xmuoffer. You must enter this code - XMB4MD

We have also been getting some radio play at different radio stations around the country. Go to the following link for more info about that and how you can help us out, if you like.

According to the Cleveland Free times you better watch out for us this year.

We are also planning another tour from the end of march thru the first week of may in which we will be traveling just about everywhere. So if you (a) can set up a show or (b) know someone who can set up a sweet show please e-mail us at statebirdmusic@gmail.com. Thanks

And finally, Matt Garver our brave trumpet player is sadly not going to be able to travel with us for this upcoming tour. He must stay home and finish his degree at the Pittsburgh art institute. So that means we now need someone to fill in. If anybody plays the trumpet or any kind of horn instrument, and would like to travel around the country for about a month please let us know.
