"Redistributing The Wealth"
Obama's exchange with Joe The Plumber: he was simply talking about making the nation's progressive tax system a bit more progressive by cutting taxes for most while raising them on top earners. McCain himself has defended progressive taxation in the past. Two outside groups joined McCain in the tax attack. But one of them, Let Freedom Ring, pulled its ad off the air rather than defend its false assertion that Obama had voted to raise taxes on "100% of America." An ad by another independent group, RightChange.com, says that Obama's plan would hike taxes on "many small businesses" to 62 percent. That's a ridiculously inflated figure that includes the state tax rate paid by people making more than $1 million annually in California. Meanwhile, McCain has continued to broadcast, in speeches and ads, his most harped-upon deception of the campaign, telling voters that Obama favored higher taxes on "families making over $42,000 a year." As said ad nauseam, Obama's plan would raise taxes only on individuals making more than $200,000 a year, or couples or families making more than $250,000.
Terrorist? A McCain TV ad says Obama "lied" about his association with Bill Ayers, a former member of the radical, bomb-setting, anti-Vietnam War Weather Underground group. In a Web ad, McCain says the two are "friends" who have "worked together for years." GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin has said repeatedly on the stump that Ayers and Obama "pal around" together. And in a large-scale robo-call effort, McCain's campaign implied that Obama "worked closely" with Ayers in the latter's earlier, Weather Underground days. But nothing Obama said about Ayers has been shown to be untrue. All available evidence indicates the two know each other but are not close. They met in 1995, when Obama was asked to head the board of a school reform group, the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, that Ayers had helped start. The organization, formed to dispense grants in an effort to improve the city's schools, was hardly radical; its board included a number of well-regarded Chicago establishment types. Also, Obama and Ayers overlapped for two years on the board of another foundation, and Ayers hosted a coffee in his home when Obama was running for the Illinois state Legislature. Ayers is unrepentant about his past, and Obama doesn't excuse him, calling his acts as a Weatherman "despicable." But in Chicago, Ayers isn't seen as all that controversial. He's now a professor of education and was named a Chicago Citizen of the Year in 1997 for his work on school reform.
License To Kill? An upstart group with an official-sounding name, the National Republican Trust PAC, emerged from the shadows in late September and claims to have raised nearly $7 million for a barrage of ads in the final weekend before Election Day. The "Republican" group actually has no formal connection to the Republican Party, and the first ad it aired is one of the sleaziest attacks we've seen. It flashes on screen the driver's license of 9/11 terrorist Mohammed Atta and claims Obama has a "plan" to give licenses to illegal aliens. Never mind that Obama says he's not proposing drivers' permits for non-legal immigrants, or that the 9/11 terrorists didn't need driver's licenses to board aircraft (their passports would have done just fine) or that Atta had actually been granted a visa and had been allowed to enter the country legally. This group doesn't let facts stand in the way of a smear. There's more. The spot also alleges that Obama's health plan will cover illegal immigrants. Wrong again. Obama has quite explicitly ruled out coverage for those who are here illegally. Nor does he propose granting Social Security benefits to illegal immigrants, as the ad also claims.
Blame for the financial crisis? There's nothing like a good disaster to bring on the finger-pointing. With the financial system in a tailspin, MoveOn.org seized the moment to hammer on former Sen. Phil Gramm, a onetime McCain economic adviser, for cosponsoring a 1999 bill repealing some regulations on financial institutions. But the bill had broad bipartisan support, passing the House 362-57, the Senate 90-8; Democratic President Bill Clinton signed it into law. Did it "strip the safeguards that would have protected us," as the ad charges? Actually, economists of various political stripes – as well as Clinton – have credited the law with cushioning some of the blows of the recent troubles. A McCain ad turns the tables by saying the Republican candidate tried in vain to "rein in" Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the institutions whose underwriting of too many risky home mortgages contributed to the meltdown. Obama was "notably silent," the ad says, and "Democrats blocked the reforms." Actually, Republicans never brought the bill up for consideration on the floor; they controlled the Senate at the time. And besides, McCain signed on to the 2005 bill too late for it to have made any difference. The game caught on in congressional ads, too, where even more ludicrous factual contortions took place in order to parcel out blame. In one ad, a Republican state legislator who's running for a House seat is tied to the crisis and the $700 billion bailout for doing nothing more than going on record supporting Bush's tax cuts; the candidate has never even served in public office at the national level.
ACORN Fables In another attempt to paint groups and people with whom Obama has some connection in as unsavory a light as possible, McCain has gone after the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now. And we've gone after him, for an ad accusing the group of "massive voter fraud" and for saying in the final presidential debate that ACORN is "now on the verge of maybe perpetrating one of the greatest frauds in voter history in this country, maybe destroying the fabric of democracy." Both claims are breathtakingly inaccurate. There's a huge difference between voter fraud and voter registration fraud. And while ACORN, which hires part-time, $8-an-hour canvassers to go door-to-door and register people to vote, has had widespread problems with phony registrations invented by employees who don't want to work, the problem has never been that it sent people to the polls using bogus identities or to vote in any other fraudulent manner. Even the Republican prosecutor of the largest ACORN case to date said the shenanigans of ACORN workers were "not intended to permit illegal voting." To be sure, Obama's interactions with the group have been greater than he has let on. But whether those ties can accurately be called "long and deep," as McCain's ad claims, is highly questionable.
Health Care Spin
Understanding the candidates' health care plans may seem almost as difficult as convincing your insurer to pay for an annual physical. And it's not made any easier when Obama and McCain misrepresent each other's proposals. We found an Obama ad perpetrating the whopper that McCain's plan contains the "largest middle-class tax increase in history." It's true that McCain would, for the first time, require workers to pay federal income tax on the value of their employer-provided health insurance. But that's offset by the tax credits he'd provide of up to $2,500 per individual and $5,000 per couple or family – and most people would come out ahead. But the McCain campaign and Republican National Committee have gone after Obama's plan with a gigantic deception of their own, which they offered in a radio ad we dissected. Obama would "rob 50 million employees of their health coverage," the ad says. We flagged that statement for grossly mischaracterizing an analysis of a plan that wasn't even Obama's. In reality, two prominent studies found that Obama's plan would produce a net increase in the number of employees with health coverage through their jobs. Under McCain, according to the same studies, there would be a net decrease. In addition, McCain has repeatedly said that Obama wants to "take over the health care of America," as he said in the third debate between the candidates. "[H]is object is a single-payer system." That's not true, either. While the Democrat has remarked that he'd probably favor a single-payer design if he were building a health care system from scratch, he's said several times that at this point, it makes more sense to improve what's currently in place – and that's what his plan would aim to do.

Express yourself, dont repress yourself
And Im not sorry Its human nature And Im not sorry Im not your bitch dont hang your shit on me
You wouldnt let me say the words I longed to say You didnt want to see life through my eyes You tried to shove me back inside your narrow room And silence me with bitterness and lies
Did I say something wrong? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt talk about sex Did I stay too long? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt speak my mind
You punished me for telling you my fantasies Im breakin all the rules I didnt make You took my words and made a trap for silly fools You held me down and tried to make me break
Did I say something true? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt talk about sex Did I have a point of view? Oops, I didnt know I couldnt talk about you
Express yourself, dont repress yourself
Im not apologizing would it sound better if I were a man? youre the one with the problem why dont you just deal with it
we all feel the same way i have no regrets just look in the mirror
i dont have to justify anything deal with it

Why do people feel that they need to jump through hoops for love. Whatever happened to meeting someone that made you emotionally and physically happy. Since when did it be ok to put up with drama after drama for one person that you do not even know will be along for ever. We all need to stop with these Mr. Right Now's, and wait for Prince Charming to come in on his white horse and do some sweeping of the feet.
Do you ever feel like you are fighting a losing battle for love. It seems that no matter how hard you try to make the love last some other issue rises leaving you hurt and lost. You may think that love comes over time and that one day he might stop all the drama and just love you as much as you love him. But. your wrong, if you can not truly be happy with that man everyday then you should not be with him. If he can not drive the distance to see you, catch you when you are about to fall or even pick you up once you have fallen then he does not deserve you.
You do not need to fight for love. it should be right there smiling back at you. He should be loving you for you, laughing at your jokes not because they are funny but because they are from you. This man that you want to be with should never hurt you with or with out intention. He should love the way you dress, the way you kiss, or even the noise you make when you sleep. He should love you. There never should be a question to how he feels, he never should bring an ex around you.
The man you need, the man that is for you will never disrespect you. He will have you back, and not let anyone talk about you. He would never allow some one to question your relationship. He will give you whatever you like, from the bedroom to boardroom. When it comes time for you to meet his family it will be a warm and loving situation, nothing that will make you nervous for days. He will treat you so special and so nice...
You should never be afraid that you are too attached to a man to let go. There is nothing that should stop you from finding the love that you want, that you need. Do not be afraid to be alone, hell embrace the time that you have with yourself. Its ok to be single, it is the only label that will never go out of style. Remember you have been in a relationship with yourself all these years, work on that one before you start working on one with a man...

Current mood: amused
Do you ever feel like there is a biological clock going off for love. Every where you turn someone is in love, singing about love, or writing about love. Love has become the thing that you can not escape, from movies to music. The problem is that this love has warped our minds, we all become so vocal and determined to find it that we forget who we are. Girls who are run fortune500 companies become battered wives, hell even drill sargents are cheated on. Instead of taking their times the masses have become victims of drive thru love, falling for the first prospect that crosses their path. When you walk down any urban sidewalk, you find yourself bombarded with constant couples holding hands, kissing, or even embracing. Most girls are discussing their love lives via cell phones and blackberries, while the boys are telling where they went and how far they got on last nights date. What ever happened to the days when all we cared about was the next episode of Beverly Hills, 90210 or even when the next Power Rangers toys where arriving. Why must we all be so concerned with relationships. Its not that we all are not searching for love but why can't all slow down and smell the flowers? Why is it that second you meet someone new, they want to know what you are doing for the weekend. We are not Disney's princesses waiting for Prince Charming to come in on a white horse and save us. Heroes we do not need, all strong and independent we must never forget. For we are the ones who make things happen, not some man or white shiny knight. Money, cars, hell even candy are things that we need know one to buy for us, all we need is drive and personality. No matter if we have it today or next year, the love we are searching for will remain the same. We do not need to stop living our lives and settling for catipillars when we can find butterflies. There is so much to do, hell there is so much to see. Why do we limit ourselves to one place and one face when we can see the world. No one should pretend they are happy, no one should ever grin and bare it. You have the power to claim your future, you have the ablity to make or break you. Never for get this, no matter how much in love you might be, there can very well be a day where you wake up and realized you rushed. Most divorces are from people who rush in to love, ever hear the expression Fools Rush In, where do you think they got it from. We all want attention, but we need to Just Dance... If hes worth it he will be there, you are not going to lose him, and he is not someone you can make. For he was made for you and you for him.

Current mood: enlightened
Fall is upon us and that means all our urban singletons are out there searching for some one to cuddle up with for the long winter months, This time of the year could almost be compared to the NFL draft as men and women speed through date after date searching for someone who will make a great bed pillow. By the end of September most have narrowed the draft down to one starting line back in hopes that this person will reach them a victory by the end of the season. Where the Chicago Bears play for a trophy the Chicago Singles play for a nice rock with a huge ceremony to go with it.
When it comes to relationship the are blurred lines on both sides of the equation. Men tend to be secretive and cold while women to live by emotions and sentiment. It seems that the deeper into a relationship these two people get the stronger the defense and offense becomes....
Most of our players have coaches that try and tell our players where to go and how to come out on top. For men it is those dogs like Anthony Anderson in Two Can Play That Game, where the women have their very own Shaintee Smiths. With each date the proximity to victory comes closer.
Day in and out men and women play games. They tend to protect themselves in hopes of avoiding heartbreak while at the same time sending the other person packing. Some people enter into relationships as if they where playing NFL Football, never letting the opposing team to have a chance with the ball or to even score a field goal. Women tend to use sex as leverage in the game, because lets face it ladies the men can never get enough of sex. Where as, men use some so little as meeting important people in their lives to marriage proposals to control the outcome of the game.
What would happen if we all just turned the lights off, dropped our guards and just lived, hell if we do not win is that bad, whose to say this was our year. Look at the Bears they have been trying for over twenty to find their trophy.
Remember these eight easy steps...
1. The most important relationship you can have is the one that you have with yourself, never forget that no matter how lonely you might be, you always have you.
2. Friends are there through thick and thin for you, so be there for them even when it means giving up on a date or some really hot sex.
3. Passion is key to all successful relationships, without it you will stray, hell you will need to stray because we all need passion, its the driving force for all singles.
4. Having fun is the best medicine for any illness, so remember to take three crank calls and a few yelling out the window sessions every now and then.
5. Always look your best, who knows what could happen or where you could end up.
6. Never be afraid to try new things who knows what you might end up liking.
7. Even Superman has a weakness, so never think you are perfect and that you are not susceptible to a kryptonite or two.
8. If you let him and he does not let you in then you know that he was not right for you, you did not thing wrong. Never afraid to be yourself.
We are going to lose some and we are going to win some, its just important that we keep our heads up and not faultier

Ghosts, most believe them to be people who have yet to pass on to the afterlife, but what if ghosts are really people from your past that you will not let go of. Everyone has that one person who they went crazy for, hell some have had a few of them. The control, the mystery, the chase it all drove you positively crazy, until of course your best of friends snapped you into reality. Most spend their twenties trying to analyze what went wrong, hell even giving it a few more tries with that person thinking that they have changed.
You can go back and forth as many times as you want but the one thing that you need to realize is that its not only them that has to change but it is you. Sometimes wild horses just can not be tamed, and as much as you want to settle down, it is you who is not ready for that move. From Eliza Doolittle and Henry Higgans, to Cathy and Hubble, to Carrie and John, we have seen men breaking women's hearts but they funny thing is that each girl is just as independent as the men. Each story saw the beginning and the end of great loves. but what happens when that story is over, do they get back together or do they continue their emotional roller coaster that is love.
So what do you do, we know what Carrie did, but are we all Carries, does Big come back and pick up the pieces, or do we run from the ghosts that haunt us. Furthermore how far can you run before you stand your ground and take your life back. How long do you mourn the past before you become the person you where before. It is simple you can not undo the past, you let go and move on. In other word call ghost busters.
What do you do when the person you spent most of your life running from, is the one person you end up running to. Most people believe that we have one or maybe even two great loves, one we meet when we are young, who challenges everything we believe in, and one that we end up with. Yet, what happens when they are one in the same. No matter how hard you try to forget them, all you can think about is the long time gone, and how badly you wish they where still there holding you.
So in the immortal words of Chris Brown, Say Goodbye, no matter how hard it hurts.

Current mood: aroused
Have you ever sat at home on a Saturday night wondering, why am I here and not there? Are there things that you want but are not directly in front of you? Could it be that you are missing someone, or maybe it is missing something. Yeah now that sounds better. Most people will continue to question much of life until they have attain most of their goals.
Restlessness, it is the most common behavior of urban singles in their twenties. Most believe that it could be caused by a lack or sexual attraction, while others believe that it could possibly stem from dissatisfaction with their lives. If you could really know what a person was thinking, you could grasp the fact that they might not want to know why they are restless. Most people have yet to figure out what they truly want. This causes most pain and strife for those who try to open their hearts to those they find attraction to.
You could trade everything you have in life, for that one person that could make your heart pitter patter. From going the distance to changing who you are, nothing might stop you from dancing to the beat of their rhythm. Yet, what happens when the music stops, Rihanna can not go on forever. The heart has a funny way of pulling the wool over your face, making love of a situation that is beginning. Your heart could even be open and hell you could be ready but they might not be. That is when the real fun comes, the walls may come down and the bullets start a firing. The battles over nights outs, friends, and money turn into the wars or lies and roses. No one can change who they are, sometimes two people are just not meant to be.
In the day you think that you have it all, but in the night you realize that you have nothing at all. A career, an education, hell even a ride is tens times more important than a man or woman that supports you some of the time.Who needs a husband, when you can have friends that catch you when you fall. Love does not hurt and it should never, never hurt you. No matter who cute the other person feels, or how good they make you feel when they are not hurting you. No one is worth pain or sorrow, so wipe those tears cause its time to find you that love you deserve. Also, remember the most important thing, stay to the post break up rules.
1. Dissolve of all combined assets attained within the relationship, make sure to return any belongings left behind.
2. Throw away mementos that will bring a tear to your eye, who needs old movie tickets.
3.Only watch one romantic movie a week, you will need to look your most fabulous and puffy eyes does not help
4. Never ever under any circumstances call, text, email, or write the ex for any reason unless it involves returning personal belongings.
5. When you do run into your ex or one of their evil cohorts remember you are great!
6. Quickly make new memories with friends of certain places you hold dear, and nights of interest on the calendar quickly can become ladies or guys night out.
7.Jack and Jose are only friends for the first couple of nights, and Ben And Jerry need to stay in the freezer.
8. Do not replace the other person with food, liquor, drugs, or sex... this only makes the post break up time lag.
9. Wonder all you want about the shoulda, coulda, wouldas; but know that this is not healthy, and nothing is guaranteed therefore you do not know what could happen.
10.You should always be your first love, not your only but most defiantly your first.
You can cry sometimes, you can even be lost with out someone, yet you will get over it and you will find someone you deserve. You could search the world for that one special person, it may take years but they are out there and you should not settle for anyone else but them. For you never had a love like that before. That is the beauty of true unconditional love.
