In this episode, they talk about sex toys (A LOT), und "Miche goes over her Diggnation Whose Is Better and Kevin Rose proves her right (from an old episode of Diggnation)."

Und they call "We Fight For Cock" an "objectifying" song. Also she calls it a "war" song. Yay sex sisters!

Actually, to be specific, Whispered Pearls is two sisters talking about sex. From different countries. But one is in Germany!

Yay sex, Germans, und PINK STEEL!

Peoples, you may have gone to a metal show, seen PINK STEEL rocking up on the stage, leather und spandex out the wazoo, singing songs like "Sausage Party" und "Cock Fight," und you might think, boy, those guys are brave.

Und yet, you have not seen bravery like we have, when we discovered the other PINK STEEL: Pittsburgh's only dragon-boat racing team made up of breast cancer survivors.



Founded in 2005 (yes, we had the name first, for those of you who care about these things), their team was founded in the memory of a friend who had lost the battle to the big C. Und their presence in Pittsburgh's thriving Dragon Boat racing community is a constant tribute to friends und family lost to this disease.

Together, they paddle a brightly-painted 40-foot fiberglass craft with a dragon head und tail. If that isn't metal we don't know what is.

Also, dragon boating fun fact: they have a drummer! Perhaps they would like to trade.

They are having a lot of fun, und the exercise of the boating helps keep the ladies healthy to boot. The thing we like best is that their mere presence helps bring much-needed attention to the disease. We hope we are doing that a bit as well with this blog post.

We of the rock PINK STEEL tip our leather dom caps to these tough ladies, who could probably break us in half with their massive upper body strength. Und we also praise them for their taste. Or did you not notice that in these photos they are posing with copies of OUT AT THE DEVIL, availalble at iTunes, CD Baby, und other fine online merchants?

Peoples, have you any IDEA how much podcasters love PINK STEEL? Here are some examples from just the past month or five:

New music 'cast Reaching For Lucidity did an entire podcast devoted to PINK STEEL!!

Ever-more-popular UK podcast DALECAST has played us on ELEVEN different episodes, the most recent being 342, 349,, und 351!

Another tasteful UK 'cast, COMEDY 365, bumped us on Chickenflaps episodes 16, 18 und 19!

Und that is not even counting Poltercast und the always fabelhaft GD's Bite Sized Bonus. OK, now it is.

So there we are, getting our heer dun (as Missy E would say it), und our hairdresser, taking a break from teasing, tells us that she heard PINK STEEL mentioned on TV!!!
