We have a new drummer named Buddy Soldo.  God has blessed us!  He was a full-time touring pro for 17 years and is a great guy.  Looks like his bass player from back then will be joining us, as well.  Todd has left the band-work conflicts.  We wish Todd the best.  Check out his Northern Ash page.  Todd might still be a contributing songwriter.

I posted a bulletin on the details of the situation on 5/20.  Luke Renno had to quit due to too many other committments.  One day later Eric Nelson, our drummer announced he didn't want to play any gigs.  So it was over before it got started-cept for the hours spent practicing on our own in anticipation of the all day first jam that was supposed to happen tomorrow-5/23.  We lost a drummer and a guitar player, but picked up a new bass player-so it really ain't over until God says it is.  It's in his hands-as everything is.  We just make the choices and hope they are the right ones and ones that please him.

after 4 and a half years, Axehead Inc is rising from the ashes and making a comeback.  It's a total God thing-from the real King of Rock n Roll.  He wants us to rock for him again!  Luke Renno, Miles Sunde, Eric Nelson, Bryan Krotzer and a bass player to be named are going to be playing shows this summer or fall.  First jam is next month. 
He is risen, indeed!

The Axehead Inc "tape player" will forever remain silent-a remnant of a good idea.  Since fileden.com lost the files again after they were reuploaded 2 months ago,  i took a shot at reuploading the 3 tunes that were on there to the new improved myspace player.  No More Bills and Out from the Shadow (soon to be a new Crimson Thorn song featuring Luke on lead vocals on the Thorn version) are now available to play, add and download for free-entire songs.  Both of these songs were written by Luke Renno-the music and lyrics for Out from the Shadow and the music for No More Bills (lyrics by yours truly on that one).  Myspace still doesn't like He's Coming Down- it gives me a file error.  Maybe we'll have to re-mix that song some day-that is actually my fav song from the CD.  oh, well- i guess that leaves the world having to pay for a copy of that one. 

The Axehead Inc EP is a fine addition to anyone's collection-heck you can get one for $7 including shipping in the U.S.  I've been singing metal and hard rock in bands since 1989 and writing songs since 1975.  Our EP is the recording I've made that I'm the proudest of and I feel blessed to have been a part of it.  Go to the orginal axehead site www.geocities.com/axehead_inc  and go to the Merch section from the very 1st menu for ordering info.  Or myspace message me and I'll make sure you get a copy.  There are less than 20 copies left, I believe.  If we run out, i'll burn you a copy and just charge you for the shipping.

I just figured out to pause the songs, in order to play or download the songs on the myspace player. There are PLAY and PAUSE buttons towards the bottom of the "tape" player display, in the middle-you'll see them. This new player automatically plays: 1. NO MORE BILLS 2. OUT FROM THE SHADOW (being recorded by Crimson Thorn) 3. HE'S COMING DOWN to change songs, just click on the arrows in front of and after the sprocket holes in the "tape" player. It's been too long since I blogged on this site.  I've been busy with my cover band learning songs. 

One of the reasons I started this site, was because of the interest that I found there still was in Axehead Inc's music.  The other and most important reason is for the ministry.  I hope to reach many people I don't know with the Good News of Jesus Christ through the Axehead lyrics.  I've felt blessed with the many new friends-many from countries outside of the U.S. that I've added as friends.  I hope all the Axehead friends have been blessed at least a little by this site and their friends. 

Someday soon I will put a couple new songs up.  I'm not sure if i will load He's Coming Down from the EP again or not.  Twice i loaded that song in the past and myspace screwed up the sound-stripped the guitars.  I'm not sure why.  The song sounds great when played otherwise.  Actually it's my personal favorite song from the CD-well one of them.  I'll Leave You Lying is my other fave.

Lyrics for all songs on the player on this site are on the player-just double click "LYRICS."  Lyrics for all the Axehead songs are still available on the old official Axehead Inc site--  www.geocities.com/axehead_inc  in the music section.  We even have lyrics there for songs we didn't record or ever play for anyone else. There are also a few copies of the Axehead Inc EP left-not very many, but Eric and Miles have several left.  If you're interested in purchasing the limit copy EP, then please send me a message.  They're selling for only $7 in the U.S. and $12 outside of the U.S. to allow for shipping.  The prices include shipping.  There are 5 songs on the EP, including a song written completely by Luke Renno, that will be redone on the upcoming Crimson Thorn CD.  I've heard Thorn play it live and it's awesome!

Fact:  AXEHEAD INC was NOT a Crimson Thorn side-project.  It was a side project for Miles Sunde and Luke Renno, because they had been in Crimson Thorn since the early 1990's.  Crimson Thorn is still going strong.  (see the interview of Crimson Thorn I did for Heaven's Metal in the June/July issue.  The rest of the interview is available at www.hmmag.com in the Heaven's Metal section).  I love Miles and Luke and Andy-those  guys are my brothers in Christ and i have their phone numbers on speed dial.  i would fight anyone to protect them.  The reason I feel the need to state that AXEHEAD INC was not a Thorn side project, is that Eric and I started the band.  Miles was the 3rd member.  It was never a side project to Eric and I.  I've gotten tired of reading that on bios and web sites!!  When Miles joined us, Crimson Thorn hadn't practiced for almost a year and had no active drummer.  Kevin only wanted to play festivals at that point.

MYTH:  Eric Nelson and Bryan Krotzer were ex-REBORN personnel.  The bio on this myspace page was copied (and edited afterwards) from a web site called therockdector.com  That bio was copied and paraphrased from the bio that i wrote for the original Axehead Inc web site, which is still available at www.geocities.com/axehead_inc

I harbor no ill will towards the creator of therockdector --who ever that is.  in fact i was flattered when i first read that!!  It originates from somewhere in Europe, I believe?  The REBORN i mentioned in the official Axehead Inc bio was a local Christian rock band in the Minneapolis, Mn area that i was in.  That band was where the 1st version of King of Rock n Roll was written.  (Miles later totally created new guitar parts and really made it rock!!).  Eric auditioned for Reborn.  That is how Eric and I met.  Rock detector has my old Reborn band linked to several European (?) death metal bands that I'm sure are good, but i've never heard 1 minute of their music.

Fact:  Axehead Inc has not jammed as a band since early December 2004.

Fact:  Axehead inc songs King of Rock n Roll (live version) and I'll Leave You Lying, which both started with me and my old boombox in my basement, are still being downloaded from the link available at www.geocities.com/axehead_inc

I found this all out recently and also discovered that an internet radio station in SC played I'll Leave You Lying in December of 2006 in the middle of a pile of secular rock and pop songs.  That, besides the fact that i keep seeing new hits in google.com for Axehead Inc-web sites i can't read in different languages, people's favoite personal lists, etc. is why i decided to start this site.  

FACT:  Who wrote the songs--Luke wrote the music for No More Bills and I'll Leave You Lying.  He wrote both lyrics and vocal melody lines and the music for Out From The Shadows

Miles wrote the music for King of Rock n Roll and He's Coming Down.

Bryan wrote the lyrics and vocal melody lines for King of Rock n Roll, No More Bills, I'll Leave You Lying and He's Coming Down.

Eric contributed a ton and the musical intro (Live Version) and ending for King of Rock n Roll were his ideas.
