Over the next week or so we will be putting up some sweet live photos of our last show at Slim's. These photos were taken by Huffy, and are some of the best live photos of us ever. Huffy has also done live lighting at something like 20 of our shows. Live lighting (done by someone who knows their way around a lighting board, and is a musician themselves) changes the whole experience of putting on a show. Huffy has also filmed one of our videos, helped with band management advice, and been an overall good friend. ATTENTION BANDS! If you play shows in the SF bay area and you want; band photos, live photos, live lighting, filming, band management, recording, producing, or a sexy hair model, contact this man... Complete Lyrics for the Album "Collars"
Couch Critics
they had torches dripping with burning cloth yeah they seemed hastily made
blurry faces shouldn't be after me i'm not part of this game but then whom are they chasing? not us
just a spoonful you can swallow it all it tastes good now i want to believe in your eyes but what i'm wondering is do you avenge the dead or is it something else instead
i think you are reveling in this windfall and you won't stop until you get it all
there is wine and cigarettes waiting by the couch and now we stare they have torches burning with the fear of three thousand dead and now it's on yeah but i can't stop working and focus on this
just a spoonful you can swallow it all and oh no you're gonna swallow it all it taste good now i find this so slow i'm stationary
Fake Tattoo
fight in the hallway for some candy scream when it's windy let's throw something in the air remember last summer when i met you now we tell on each other he's got something in his eyes in his eyes
my uniform has got holes and is faded
i'll marry you for that fake tattoo the one with the skull red's my favorite color
Sitcom Theme Song
i've been gone for two short days now i'm running back to you yeah i'm coming home from those blue ties to your soft hands now i'll never leave again the world outside can wait
until i signal for lights oh this double life
now sometimes i get drunk and forget where i am in front of people i respect it's embarrassing but when i come home you never ask just a smile to calm inside relax boy close your eyes
until i signal for lights oh this double life
you see it's like pillow talk and leave and then it's like fumbling for keys
and i know you awake so get up i'm dying can you even believe this cause i'm gone
sometimes when i sleep i can still feel that stare from across the room but you're right here and i swear i'm slipping i swear i'm losing it
Fire Trucks
fire trucks all over the town all along see them drive up onto my lawn are you sad begging me to stand up and please come along haven't felt that warmth in these years nice young men
now the past has all burned away and I think too hard of what's gone I light matches and toss them across the room perfect arches getting tracers
tiny moments are prolonged but the consequence ignoring what's to come after all we've thought of after all our could have dones
This is Home
from the window the sound though quieting down of the road is coming in the word is out it all begins with a patient, "hurry up when you awake" ok this will never be new again passing hours still, sheltered, and free
slept right through commute way too long but already gone from memory i wiped it out with child like strategy i've got daydreams and everything but double doors sway they say,
"out with the cold" and "you're getting old"
this is home
i've been talking to myself and the phone been talking all alone
Morning Machine
these days i'll do anything for routine the sweet rhythm of the morning machine we're on it you know tick tock back and forth with those eyes till they close or bleed to splatter spots on long sleeves come on now
days go by moving side to side follow with your eyes what you compromise the money grows at the end of ties you never could decide is it a virus
you're buttoned up and now you wait to hear that sound the tower in this town says you can let your guard down
Tongue in Cheek
she said "look" you owe this to yourself not to speak of mental health but we are what we are but beware you keep on singing songs about your wealth i think you'll have some trouble trying to pin this on someone else so stop waiting to open your eyes and singing i am feeling good again like the time that you ran out of rope for me like i could never tell when you're tongue and cheek
oh your priceless anger it could help us get along but it's gone so how long till you explode stop waiting to open your eyes you're not dreaming this is all they left behind so stop letting them victimize you just repeat it
i am feeling good again like the time that you swore you'd come back to me like i could never tell like i could never tell
Pillar of Pennies
i can see the money now green and gold and pretty how i long for these next years to pass and wash away the feeling that we're wasting our time gotta get yours gotta get mine
kicking the wall jumping the fence rush that gated community then hide it away like i don't exist like a secret lost or a childhood lisp
that made my friends and neighbors twitch
Secret Solitaire
secret solitaire when you're not there when I think I'm alone I'll count the hours till I can go home with these smooth fingers turning black to red a prairie dog will warn this desk "here comes the boss shaking her head" she says
later there is passion at the bars later there is fashion
relax here's that new report turning over and over and one card short the fax from the new intern says look at the odds better off just to cut the cord
one touch and the screen turns back to numbers for a heart attack fade away you're away our luck is the king goes down we're the sword in his hand through the crown fade away royalty
the wind from the vent hits our face and we're gone and before too long we mix in with what we've become
Driving Star
what makes these stars think they should pass me on the right i left a lane here to my left i'm seven five mph with just enough that's on my mind to drain the humor out of feet out of hands out of eyes
stop signal what's this person doing
now here we are your cellular controls the pace just take a minute in your rearview i see you ignoring all the laws of time and Says and space tell me what will you do when i do what you do
two eight zero like a gunshot and i'm not breaking for the scenery bump bump bump goes the tire thump thump i tap the beat for the new capitalist
i separate myself my car my clothes my house

So there's some great shows coming up in the next couple months and being the music afficionados that we know you are, we thought you should be informed. Lets see, first up we have Vin Rouge rocking Bottom of the Hill on January 19. These boys put on an amazing show jam packed with ground shaking riffs, sexiness, cool lights and more sexiness. But if you want to keep your girlfriend, I suggest you leave her at home cause these guys will rock their panties off:) On January 27, the great MUD will be taking the stage at Club Hide in S.F. Now i've never actually been to Club Hide and I haven''t heard anything about it but i'll tell you this...You need to go. If mud is playing there, then it must be awesome. In case you haven't seen Mud yet, they play some sweet ass punk rock that you won't be able to get outta your head for days. On top of that, their singer/guitarist Nikki is gorgeous, which makes the show even more enjoyable to watch:) If you miss this one, yer gonna regret it. Oh yeah, They just played Slims and The Warfield. Bastards! Next you can find us at the Beale Street Bar on February 3rd having our ears massaged by the beautiful sound waves of Cast of Thousands. Seeing as how they are easily one of the best bands in S.F. and a personal favorite of mine, you would be a chewy pickle to miss what may be the last small show these guys play. I'm telling you, these kids will be rocking the Fillmore soon enough so get intimate with them while you still can. Lastly, we have a show that features TWO great local bands, Cervantes and The Bruises. Both these bands are fucking amazing! I saw cervantes the other night and they killed it. It was well worth waiting till 1:30am to see them. No joke. I guarantee this power trio will have you doing a wierd jerky thing with your neck. They have an album coming out very soon I hear too. Your gonna have to pick that one up because the music these guys create is something that I personally love. The Bruises are an almost all girl rock tornado. Fronted by the lovely Jen and Aja, this band will have you dancing like Elaine Benes. That's right, little kicks for all. And I guarantee their drummer Derek will keep you captivated for the enitre show! So don't miss this show because 2 great bands on one bill is almost as rare as the steak I had last night that made me yarf on my carpet. Just in case you were wondering, we aren't playing these shows. We will just be there enjoying the tunes and supporting local music. Hopefully you will join us.

It happens all the time. You're in the mood for some serious music listening, but your cd collection is looking stale. How long can you stare at them until you decide to put on that same band you always do? Why did you buy those super duper headphones if you are just going to listen to the same music you listened to in college?
Here is a list of bands that we are playing with in the next few months. Give your ears a treat and check them out.
Cast of Thousands Cervantes The Heavenly States Icarus Falls Mud Ninth of Never Pebble Theory Vin Rouge
also, check out these bands...

Join our e-mailing list by going to our contact page at our website www.companycarmusic.com We send out, what some would call, "partially amusing" e-mails letting you know about our next show. Here is a sampling of our past e-mails....
www.thecherrybar.com Sunday, Dec. 5th $5 Show starts a 6:00 and we go on at 7:15. We've never played at the Cherry Bar. I imagine they have the finest assortment of cherries in the Bay Area. You know, cherries with pits and cherries without. Black cherries, red cherries, and the rare albino cherry. Cherries jubilee. Cherry beer, cherry soda, cherry wine, cherry vodka. Hot girls sitting on stools tying cherry stems with their tongues. Warrant on the jukebox. I guess we'll have to see. For more info and a link to a review of the Blake's show, go here www.companycarmusic.com
In the future.... cars will run on good intentions, and company cars will be replaced by teleporting. Also, food will taste better. Plus, it will be much, much hotter so margaritas (and other drinks blended with ice) will become increasingly popular. Instead of saying "soda", people will go back to calling it "pop". This will cause many people to only drink bottled water. Also, our band will have three shows. One on Thursday, November 17th 2005 then on Saturday, December 3rd 2005 and again on Thursday, January 5th 2006 Where will these shows be? Go here www.companycarmusic.com to find out. Do you want to see a poster of a ladies back with wings and candles? Then go here www.companycarmusic.com to see. Also, have you heard about the Lizards? Also, our friends Narc are having a cd release party soon. Go here www.narcmusic.com to check it out. Later
Ah yes, the Stork Club. What's so great about the Stork Club? How about the largest Barbie Doll collection you have ever seen! No joke. Behind the bar and on the walls, every Barbie you could imagine, in it's original packaging. For all you manly men out there, don't worry, there are plenty of macho things to do as well. Pool table? check. Lots of beer? check. Smoking area? check. Mens room? check. Plenty of ladies who say they are Company Car fans but are really there to look at the Barbies? No. There will be plenty of ladies, but saying that they only care about Barbies is sexist. The Stork Club is in Oakland, but we are playing on Saturday so no excuses.
