On Screamfest in Oslo ,November the 8th 2008 ,Tom Angelripper from Sodom joined The Batallion on stage for a cover of Motorhead's "Iron Fist". A video of the performance is posted below.

It is now confirmed that The Batallion will play their first show in France at the La Ferme Du Rock Festival (see gig list). The album "Stronghold Of Men" was also saluted as "the album of the month" in April by the French radiostation Radio Mercure.

On the 14th of January The Batallion signed a record deal with Dark Essence records. The title of the debut full lenght album is "Stronghold Of Men". It will be released in Norway the 17th of March 2008 and the rest of the world the 21st of April 2008. Also visit www.darkessencerecords.no.
