We are very excited to announce our inclusion once again in Tropfest NY. It's all Untucked, 1/4 of the time, come next Friday night, Sept. 26th.

Jonathan's short titled "Mrs. Jones" and Chuck's film titled "The Wildflower" were both chosen as one of the eight finalists for this year's competition. And our short, "The Switch," which placed 3rd last year, is also being screened as part of this year's first-ever Tropfest "Best Of" package.

We had a blast last year and expect even more (FREE!) fun times along the Hudson River with our 8,000 closest friends. So come join us. Sun down and films up at 8pm.

So now they make Myspace spam even more sophisticated. I went to delete some stupid fucking Macy's ad, and by clicking "delete," I sent the spam on to all our friends. That's totally fucked up. Myspace is bring me down these days. Apologies from Untucked to anyone who received a comment from us asking you to buy something from Macy's.

Tribeca TropFest 2007 has come and gone, and we're pleased to announce that "The Switch" placed 3rd overall. It was an excellent screening, an amazing turnout (as you can see for yourself in the picture below - a reported 8,000 attended) and a damn good time. We'll be posting the film on our "real" website soon enough, so stay tuned. Thanks again to everyone involved and to the other 15 finalists, and to any of you that came out that night. And big congratulations specifically to Jonathan, writer and director.

Hey everybody---

Come out this Sunday to see 16 7-minute shorts, 2 unknown bands, and a
DJ (because nothing's more fun than watching someone press play on
their IPod).

No seriously, Tribeca Films is putting on their 2nd Annual TropFest,
and we (Untucked Films) have a short that was accepted and will be
screened among the 15 others. Best part about it all, besides the
prize money, is that its outdoors, on the water in beautiful Battery
Park, and FREE... This upcoming Sunday evening, entertainment at 5 &
films at 8. Read more about it here
(http://www.untuckedfilms.com/news.html) and/or here
(http://www.tribecafilmfestival.org/t365-tropfest-feature).

And if you come, keep an eye out for "The Switch." It's about a guy
who meets the man of his dreams but can't seem to shake his pesky
heterosexuality. Written and directed by Jonathan Emmerling, produced
by Untucked Films.

You can actually watch :30 clips of all 16 shorts here:

That way you know what you're getting yourself into.

Pop music matters. And we just completed a music video for the Eames Era (our 2nd of 3) for their song "When You Were a Millionaire." Please go check it out at our website. Lou Reed makes a special guest appearance.

The First Annual Bushwick Film Festival is this weekend, and Untucked's going. They are nice and having an entire "Untucked Presents" portion, showing our shorts (Baby, Arcade Fire, The Ex and more). Our time slot is this Friday, Aug 24, at 8pm followed by a short Q&A. Location: 195 Morgan Ave. If you're in Brooklyn this Friday, come say hi and ask us what you've always wanted to ask: Who's the dreamy guy in all your films? (The answer is Chuck).

Untucked would like to meet the Arcade Fire band member or Merge intern that runs the Arcade Fire myspace page. We would simply like to ask what screening process they use that allows them to have 33 thousand friends, yet to deny Untucked's friend request a total of 5 times now. Did they really hate the short that much?

(And just for the record, Untucked members have seen Arcade Fire in concert a total of 8 times to date... so we really do like them).

Patiently awaiting,

On Saturday the 16th, we are throwing a kids birthday party and filming it for an Eames Era music video. There will be a clown, a Lou Reed birthday cake and one of the best bands in indie pop. The shoot will last a couple of afternoon hours. Kids need to be age 4 to 12 and near NYC. You will also get a dvd of the video once completed, and your involvement would be much appreciated by us and the band. Please email for details if you'd like to bring your child. Thanks.

(Best to email Jonathan directly - jonemmerling@hotmail.com).
