Since we're about to give up the collective ghost, it seemed like a good time to post some of our unreleased material.  Three of 'em went up tonight with more to come:

--Maga Rellagloo (Sung in Brazilian Portuguese), now that you know how to spell it, look for the secret video on YouTube.
--Teenage Heart Attack, we tried to find The Problematics so we could pay 'em some royalties on this one, but in the end it was never released.  Take a free listen, this one might not stay up long.
--Bangin'...another ode to true love.  Really.

Don't forget about our last show ever at The Welding Shop on Friday Aug. 7th.  It's still All Ages and BYOB, but we've also just learned there will be No Cover and 2 Free Kegs.

Yep, it's true.  Friday August 7th is the las Bad Rackets show ever.  It's at the new Welding Shop Pub at 6215 N. Lamar and it looks like it'll be All Ages and BYOB.  Hope you can make it.

Yeah it's true what you heard, we had a change in our lineup...everything's cool, no drama.
And we're happy to announce that Duane Holtz has joined the band on Guitar and Organ.  If you know squat about (decent) Austin music you've already seen Duane in action.  We're damn glad to have him.

The Bad Rackets are trying to score a slot at ACL Festival 2008. You can vote once a day between now and Friday.

I want to give some propers to the people who helped put it together. First my girlfriend Nancy was very much involved in the pre-shoot and the shooting. We scouted around Austin for some rad spots and did some camera work to make sure they'd work. She was also there on the day we shot on camera; shooting a whole bunch of the footage. All the moving shots of the band at the parking garage were her. Any time the whole band was playing on the screen she was manning the camera.

My good friend Catherine was the girl in the video. She's got the look and the moxy to carry it off and she was only slightly loaded when she shot the thing. Thank god you can't hear her and I shouting that Hives song because any talent I have as a singer is suspect after hearing the raw footage. Hard Candy baby.

Finally Michael Crawford, camera man extraordinaire was the genius behind it all. His know-how and equipment made the editing and the polish happen.

Like the rekkid, its DIY with the folks and friends here in our town. Hope y'all like as much as I do.
